I love this magazine. Every time I read it, there's a new and exciting place to add to my travel q. The articles and columns are fun to read and really brings out my wanderlust and adventurous side. While most of the adventures they talk are expedition sized and the general populace would never embark on them, it gets my blood flowing and gets me looking at smaller scale things that I might normally never consider that I can do with my wife (for example, hiking from hut to hut in Spain's Pyrenes). The gear reviews are great as well. Although most of the gear is on the higher end, I'm a total gear head and I like reading about what's new and what's been improved from previous generations. Another thing I really like is their website. I subscribe to their mailing list and almost every day they send me these little blurbs about places to go and see. I'm a travel nut (at least I like thinking about it), and for a few minutes a day, I get to daydream about where else I could be other than stuck in my cube staring at the computer. Dina H. may be right that the magazine may be male-oriented, but being a male, I guess I can't relate to that. read more

My wife received the magazine subscription December 10, 2018. Estimated delivery of the first magazine was two months later...February 2, 2019! February 18 she still had not received it. Leaving voicemails for customer service and waiting for return phone calls. Extremely frustrating. read more
