Wanted medium rare stake, was cold inside and tasted uncooked, chewy. Mashed potato was too salty that I couldn't eat, they offered to change it for a different side. After that found a golden brown long hair stuck at the bottom of the steak. Returned food and didn't want want anything from that kitchen. Manager did come out and apologize. He was sincere. I just had the best meal I have had in a long time! I had it delivered by a super nice guy named Richard via Doordash. I had a combination of filet and grilled shrimp. The filet was tender and cooked to perfection! The shrimp was light seasoned and tasted heavenly! They did some remodeling a year or so ago and the place looks nice. The owner is a friendly guy who does a good job of making his guests feel welcome. It has good food, decent prices, full bar, it's easy to get in and out of and is a great in between place for friends from Springdale and Fayetteville to meet up. I also like that on the Outback Springdale web site (www.outback.com/Locations/details/?unit=450) you can see in real time if there is a wait and if so, you can add your name to the wait list. When I was a kid there was a liquor store/western store on this site called Jack Holt's Frontier Town. In 1971 Cobb's Surplus and Pawn moved into the building and in 1974 a robbery gone wrong resulted in the shooting of Mr. J.J. Cobb, who died shortly afterward in Springdale Memorial Hospital. The 17 year old who shot/killed Cobb was caught across the highway in Lake Fayetteville Park minutes after the shooting. Very sad. read more

Went to outback the other night on a whim..its been a long time but I had remembered them as having an amazing happy hour..so..off to sit at the bar we go..asked the bartender about happy hour..she said yes they had apps and drinks I said perfect..order 3 of the apps off the happy hour menu..each of us had a drink one draft beer and a wallaby darn something..not even one note into the app..the bartender is on a push for us to order dinners..which I may have but..being me and pressured i opted not too..about 6 minutes later a new bartender came on..now i realize why in such a hurry..when we were not..new bartender gave us our bill and it was 56 bucks..needless to say went be back and their is nothing happy about that hour or the experience! read more

I give it 4 stars on the Merit that it is a chain restaurant. If this was a local restaurant I would lower the star rating to a 3. For a chain this is top notch... I say that not because it is Great food, but it is consistently Good food. Edible, to expand on that. Places like Appleby's and Chili's literally ought to take a page out of the formula that Outback serves. The Food was decent(across the board) from Apps to entrees to beverages and prices. Only complaint is basic "Chain" stuff I despise. 12 yr old host, very mechanical waitstaff that hates their job(though our server hid it well and did a fine job), kids in the bar area(bawling), fairly clean, but with a little perma sticky on everything. Food was great, I stay away from steak at places like this because I consider myself to be a Steak Snob, and hate to knowingly step on a rake when ordering. Service was very attentive. We will be back for a convenient bite next time we are passing one by and haven't made a decision on where to eat. (sidenote) For the best Chain restaurant in the U.S. Try Bonefish. My husbands favorite place to eat. It's the only restaurant he doesn't mind wait for a table. The petit filet is always spot on, juicy and tender! It almost melts in my mouth. Outback is my favorite steakhouse but this evening we had the worst server ever! Numerous people received their food long before we did and arrived after we did. When our server Chris J, came back to our tables for a 2nd time apologizing, someone in our party mentioned how we have been waiting an hour and half for our dinner. He did not attempt to apologize but instead he started an argument with the person in our party and never once apologized. I love some Outback. I've been to this location several times and there have been pros and cons. The service has always been great and the bartenders are always on point. I've had a few steaks and I was disappointed with the cut of the meat a couple of times. The ahi tuna portion seemed smaller than usual but the coconut shrimp was consistently good. We wanted steak and didn't want to spend how much $ it takes to go to Ruth Chris or Doe's. I had to start a liquid diet for two weeks the next day so I wanted to eat as much deliciousness as as possible. We got there and even though it was a Friday night it didn't take more than 15 minutes to be seated in a table for 6. Our waiter wasn't bad, but we didn't see or hear from him much because of the crowd. Everything initially came out in a timely manner. We got a bloomin onion -- yummy but definitely only something you should eat like once a year. Everyone seemed to like their food -- my husband had to ask for horseradish with his prime rib but that was it. The only problem was with my food -- I got the bone in ribeye and asked for it medium and it came out well done. They were really nice about it and took it back to cook another one. The only issue is it took a while and everyone was already done and ready for dessert when I got it back. When I got it back it still wasn't the medium I wanted, it was more medium well. I think If I would have asked for medium rare it would have hit the mark. The texture and cut of the steak was a little off, but the flavor was good. The manager was really nice -- came to our table and chatted. Comped my steak and a couple desserts for the trouble. I would come back if I was looking for a more affordable steakhouse. Friday night rush crowd! The ambiance was actually pretty relaxing and not too loud. The cheese fries are usually good, however, they were a bit undercooked and greasy. Main course was the steakhouse salad. It was fresh, the meat was cooked perfectly. Tasty to say the least. But, unless your an onion lover, request to hold the red onions. Upon arrival I noticed that we had 1 server for our entire group. She did very well considering the circumstance, so this has nothing to do with her. I was more upset with what seemed to be the manager who would come in and just stand around. He never helped refill drinks or clear plates at all. Not once. Honestly worst dining experience of my life. I'm very understanding since I work in the service industry, as does my boyfriend. We came in on Monday Feb. 22 and Logan K was our server. Upon arriving, he was quick to take our drink orders. We both ordered waters, and we went ahead and placed an order for an app. 15 mins later, our appetizer arrives, but we still don't have waters. Logan says, "I forgot about your waters, I'll be right back with them." We let him know we also would like drinks from the bar area. My boyfriend asked what kind of bourbon was available, to which Logan responded, "Hmm I'm not too sure since I'm still new." (Understandable) But instead of checking he adds, "Uhhh bourbon." Lol. After still waiting, we finally got our waters and our meals. Our food was mixed up, Logan took them back, and returned with our new plates. Still no alcohol though. 10 minutes later and halfway through our meal, we finally received our bar drinks. My boyfriend asked for A1 and sour cream for his steak. Another 10 mins later, Logan stopped by our table and said, "Oh yeah, you wanted A1 and sour cream right?" Returned with A1 and sour cream as my boyfriend was taking his last few bites before asking for our check. Now, I know firsthand what it is like to be at a new job--not knowing the menu, making mistakes, etc. At first, it was understandable, but by the end of our visit, we were flat out annoyed that someone let him out on the floor without being properly trained. Superior service and excellent food. I went to the Outback yesterday for dinner and it was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. I made reservations there on Sunday based on a special listed on their website and had a coupon for a free "bloomin' onion." When we arrived we were immediately seated even though the restaurant was pretty crowded. We asked if we could do a cheaper appetizer in exchange for the bloomin' onion and the waiter let us choose anything off the menu in it's place. I'm not sure if this is their general practice or due to the fact there is another coupon going around for a free appetizer but, either way it was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the seared tuna and it was fantastic sushi grade with a slight peppercorn sear on it. It also came with two sauces, but the only one that really mattered was the delicious ginger soy sauce that made it taste as though it were ordered off a shashimi menu. Along with the warm bread and whipped butter that comes with all meals it was a perfect appetizer. The drink specials were mimosas and bloody Mary's, which was a little odd for a 7pm seating, but at least there were specials offered other than drafts. We then put in for the special and found out the website was actually outdated and it was no longer available. We needed a few minutes to pick new items, and the Waiter must have told the hostess (or possibly manager) because as we were looking over the menu, she came to ask us how everything was. We were pleased with the service and appetizer so far but mentioned the special to here, and she automatically offered to do it for us anyways. She took our dinner orders herself and took care of everything. The food was excellent and the service continued to be top notch for the rest of the meal.
