We were sat with in 10 mins at 5pm on a Friday evening. Our waitress, Sabrina, was very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and full of people. Our food came out quickly and was good just as we ordered.

Party of 12, made a "reservation" earlier in the week reservation is used loosely as its more like calling ahead. When we got here we were told that there was a 20 minute wait and that essentially we get out ahead in the line. This info would have been nice to know prior to us arriving. So if you're looking for strict reservations, they do have them so plan accordingly. After we were seated, everything was smooth from there. Our waitress was amazing! Very attentive and proactive, which can be a rarity! Didn't take many pictures. Not the optimum place for a plant based diet but I knew that coming in. Basically, regular fries, plain baked potatoes, fresh veggies (no butter) and salads (minus the cheese and croutons - stick to the vinaigrette dressings) available for us non-meat eaters. We were out celebrating Father's Day to avoid the crowds on Sunday.

You guys have to ask for JASPER as your server. He gives you the best quality service for the price you pay for your meal. I will always come back and ask for JASPER as my server and to this restaurant because you don't get great service anywhere else but HERE.

The place was very relaxed environment. The waitress was nice and patiently waited for our order even tho we were undecided. The drinks were decent and actually tasted pretty good. Food was good I would say I liked my chicken more the steak not cooked enough but overall good time

Sirloin, coconut shrimp, lobster tail and steamed veggies NEW Prime Rib & Shrimp Combo*

Well, I was hoping my ratings would be higher this time. After our last visit, I swore I'd never go back but friends we were with were dying for prime rib. Since I hadn't had it in so long, so was I actually. Guess what we DIDNT get? You guessed it, prime rib. We put our order in for medium rare prime rib. About 15 mins later the waitress came back and said it was all well done. How does that even happen? So, two of us got the ribeye, I got the sirloin. The waiter was great though, she called on the manager sensing our displeasure. I have to hand it to him. He threw in lobster tails for all of us and comped the blooming onion. He did us right. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the veggies were crisp tender, like I prefer. The 3 stars were their lack of foresight on the adequate amount of prime rib for the evening. The manager said we maybe should have come earlier. I looked at him and said, "I thought a mid weeknight at 4pm was early". He back stroked on that comment. We may go back again but the last two times haven't hit the mark with me yet. Come on guys, let's get it together please.

Initially tried to go to Chili's but since their wait time was over an hour we decided to walk over to outback. BEST decision ever, you can tell that the quality of the restaurant is way better. Higher prices but you get what you pay for in my opinion. My steak was perfectly cooked medium, our lovely server suggested the Mac and cheese and boy he was not wrong! Everything was so delicious. For drinks I ordered the margarita flights and my favorite one hands down was the black berry one. So good, I could swim in that stuff. Whatever they put in that, I want it. Lol Can't wait to come back!

I can officially stop saying, "I can't find great food in Northeast Georgia." The Stag has solved that problem. This place has undergone a total transformation since my last visit--new décor, new chef, new staff, and an entirely new menu. Hands down, one of the best meals I've had in the last five years. The Stag Salad was outstanding--beautiful greens, plenty of bacon and goat cheese, and the most delicious (clearly homemade) buttermilk ranch dressing. I don't usually get excited about salad, but don't sleep on this one. I ordered the seared sea bass, and wow--seared to absolute perfection. The crunch on the outside, moist and succulent on the inside... the best sea bass I've ever had. Chef's kiss. My friends ordered the salmon and the roasted chicken, and everyone was thrilled with their meals. None of us even ordered steaks--despite that being what they're known for--but the ones we saw looked flawless. The upstairs décor is beautiful, and last but definitely not least--ask for Mave. Warm, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful in steering you toward the right choices. We'll be back soon--and often.

You got your white tablecloths, rooms full of retirees, and a vibe that hasn't changed much since the Reagan administration. Unfortunately, there was none of that live music that this place is known for. My family and I came for the Easter brunch buffet @ $55/person. The menu looked great: herb crusted prime rib at the carving station, shrimp and grits, Belgian waffles, deviled eggs, bourbon glazed carrots, cheesecake dessert squares. But the reality was that it's more like an upscale hotel breakfast. Safe, mostly bland, and probably exactly what the "usual" crowd there was looking for. The bacon was overcooked and shriveled. The deviled eggs didn't even have any paprika. And who puts a giant vat of syrup BEFORE the waffles? And their signature strawberry punch would've tasted way better chilled or iced instead of being kept at room temperature. The prime rib was what made it all worth it. It was tender, juicy, cooked just right, and the horseradish took care of their seasoning problem. That carving station is what saves the day along with the fantastic staff. Even the manager was great to talk to. I just wish the rest of the food was better than "meh." A couple of tips: call for reservations, there's no online booking. Parking is annoying because of the app. If you don't have a walker, just use the giant free public lot one block over on Main Street. Also, the "Order" button on their website goes nowhere. Maybe just replace it with "Menu," Luna. Looks like Mother's Day is getting the breakfast buffet brunch encore, so if you want to experience what I did, go for it. I probably won't be back even though the regular menu looks interesting.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant didn't have many people when we arrived. There was 1 couple at a small table and a party in a "private" room. We were seated directly in-between both of these. Didn't make for a romantic anniversary dinner with the older couple coughing, sniffling and making sucking noises. (I'm thinking they had something in their teeth and they kept trying to remove it?) Then the party in the room was loud and the doors to the party room were left open. With the restaurant so empty, I don't know why we weren't seated somewhere more private. Drinks were pretty good. My husband was told the wine he first ordered was out. He liked the second choice he made, once it finally arrived. There was a wait to receive everything we ordered. Drinks took forever. Our poor server was trying. I saw him WAITING at the bar for the bartender to finally pour our drinks. Food - Calamari was pretty good. It is a very small portion, but enough for an appetizer for 2 people. I really wanted the sea bass, but I didn't want it with the veggies that were supposed to come with it. I asked if they could substitute for brussel sprouts and sauteed spinach. Our server wasn't sure so he asked if I'd still like it if they can't. I told him if they wouldn't substitute, then I'll have the salmon with those sides. My dinner arrived and it was the salmon. They would rather me pay for a less expensive meal than substitute sides for the more expensive meal. I find that odd. My husband ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, his risotto and asparagus were ice cold. He had to send it back. (That's not something he normally does, so I know it was bad.) My food wasn't piping hot, but it wasn't cold either. It at least tasted good. They kept apologizing for the wait, and offered my husband a free glass of wine. He accepted and they brought the carafe over with it and poured it into what he still had left. It wasn't the same wine! They now mixed 2 completely different wines and my husband said it tasted funny. He didn't even finish it. There was nothing offered to celebrate our anniversary. Everywhere else we've been offers you a free dessert. Nope. Not here. Dessert was offered, but not for free. We declined and said we were full. It was also almost 2 hours of being here and we were done. This experience does not make us want to return or recommend to anyone else. The kitchen obviously has some work to do to fix things, along with the bar and management. Thank you to our server for trying to make it a good experience for us.
