Enjoyed dinner here on Thursday evening, and Shelley was my server in the bar area. Started with a Bourbon and Ginger, and the blue cheese and pecan chopped salad arrived perfectly. The locals kept me busy with some typical wind-down behavior, and then the entree arrives. I tried the prime rib (smallest prortion) outback style, and it was perfect! The meat was fork tender, and the grilled lobster tail added just the right accompaniment. Broccoli was steamed, some of the florettes were yellow, hence the four star rating. This was the first time we had ever visited Outback Steakhouse. It was fantastic! The steak was a little tough and the knife could've been a little sharper so I could cut the steak. But the steak all and all was fantastic! And for 9.99 it's a steal. The blooming onion was great also. We also had a salad and French fries. The salad was fantastic. But the French fries was very disappointing! I expect hand cut steak fries with my steak. These tasted frozen. The staff was working very hard. They were friendly and helpful! I will go back again. Always a great Chain to locate and go for a good meal, it was bartender training Day I was there. Hope the man makes I've never seen a harder working person.. The training here seems to be very difficult with a lot of attention to detail from the temperatures of the coolers to all the drinks that need to be made. While outback is usually up to par, the outback in Gainesville GA seems to lack luster. I had been to this location a couple times before and every time it seems to get worse. The fried appetizers are so heavy and greasy, like the oil in the fryer needs to be changed but hasn't. The server staff seems to lack a sense of urgency. An example of that would be that there were only six tables in the restaurant and more than three servers and we waited about 25 minutes for a Caesar salad, steak quesadilla with fries, and soup (the soup was flavorless and tasted like cafeteria food). And while sometimes there are miscommunications going on that I as a customer can't see, our server failed to communicate or report these miscommunications to us. This location needs major improvement but outback itself is awesome:) p.s. the hostess was super nice! read more

If I could give 10 out of 5 stars, I would. The food was great per usual, however the service was PHENOMENAL!! The manager was so kind and checked on us multiple times and comped us a bloomin' onion when we had to wait longer than expected for our table. I'd like to formally give a shoutout to COLE! Yay Cole! Who singlehandedly filled us all to the brim with Outback's most delicious dark bread and honey butter. It just kept coming...it was truly a Christmas miracle! Cole, we love you. We will be back. The steak was perfectly cooked and the coconut shrimp was delightful. My band had an event nearby and afterward needed a place to gather for dinner and drinks. We had a group of 16 and another place nearby that we tried had a 90-minute wait. We called, and this location quickly put all of us together in a matter of minutes! Not only were they speedy and super hospitable with the seating, but our server Tori handled our drinks and food amazingly. I was impressed by everything in this restaurant. There was a half hour wait for our party, but we had our seats exactly when they said we would. The food was fantastic, but I'm not very picky and not a true food critic so I'll leave that there. Our waiter's name I think was Adam. He was the man the entire time we were there. I went tonight with my family for a get together. We wanted 20 minutes and no one greeted us, we asked for someone to come to our table. The manager Ashley came over and took care of everything. Our sever came over finally after Ashley got us out drinks and appetizer. He was okay. I ordered my stake well done (I like my meat dead) it was pink. Once again Ashley took care of it. It has taken an hour to get a salad. SALAD! Honestly, how difficult is it to "cook" salads. Iced tea was warm. I felt like I was in London, because we had to keep asking for ice. I like how you can add your name to the wait from their website, super cool! The place was clean, service was okay and the food came out in a timely manner. Looking around the staff seems happy and I can tell teamwork is encouraged. My only complaint is I asked for extra tomatoes on my salad and it came out with none, my husband asked for ketchup and he didn't get it until he was almost finished with his meal. Also when our tea was refilled there was no ice left in the glass, being a former server I also brought a cup of ice with a tea refill. Went there a few months ago and was very disappointed but decided to try again last night. Could it have been any worse? Food late. Food cold. Tiny portions and high prices for reduced portions . Really. Worst of all was the condition of the Ladies room. Not even any soap, and tp strewn all over the place. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Oops, my take-away order ended up not being what I had ordered. My 5 star rating goes to the follow-up by the terrific Kitchen Manager, Aaron Blackwell. We were in a predicament that prevented us from returning to get the order corrected, but he addressed this and saw to it that our order reached us. We came in for lunch today and had the absolute pleasure of having Jonathan as our server! He was so pleasant and polite and he genuinely seemed happy to be there servicing customers. He didn't pressure us at all during our stay at his table, we dined at our pace the entire time. A lot of times we go to restaurants and servers are just worried about making our checks higher so we tip them more so it was refreshing to have a server who cared about us and guided us through what we wanted. We didn't order much, my Mom ordered a soup and salad and I ordered the sampler appetizer as my dish and told him I didn't like onions and to surprise me with something instead. He brought it out with the fried mushrooms instead and when I told him I didn't care too much for Mushrooms he brought me out a cup of soup instead! From start to finish he went above and beyond for us for no other reason than to service us. Absolutely love Outback! They support our local community in a variety of ways - they have served some of our local school faculty lunch, they always accommodate our special needs students (that is a very special end of the year trip for my students), and they have been very willing to accommodate food allergies over the years for my own children. The staff is always nice. If ever an item doesn't quite meet expectations, they immediately correct it - let's face it, sometimes kids think they know how they want something and then they see it and realize mom was right so we have to get it fixed. There's also the occasion that I might forget to say "no seasoning" or the like and they willingly fix it. I think Megan does a great job of building her team and holding them to the expectations she has for each of them. Taylor, Priscilla, Kaitlyn, Moose, Ethan (aka Johnny Depp to my kids!), Gary, and many others work hard each and every day to make coming to Outback a positive experience. We have been long time customers both in the restaurant and under To Go. As long as Megan continues to be in charge we will continue to come. It's fun and relaxing. I frequent Outback about once a month for lunch. I get the same thing every time and it's always tasty and exactly what I wanted. The service is always very quick as well during lunch. Worst dining experience! Everything was sent back twice, including the bloomin' onion. The steaks were tough, despite being ordered medium rare. The potatoes were over cooked and dry. Absolutely did not enjoy my experience at all. Place was extremely over crowded with no proper cleaning of seating tables, which was slightly wiped leaving a tremendous amount of food on the seats. I have never been much of a steak person so I decided I would give it a shot. The waitress was not knowledgeable of the food items listed on the menu what so ever. I was asking her questions about different steaks listed on the menu and every response from waitress was I'm not sure , I can find out. Excuse me what do you know?? Not only that I ordered the porterhouse steak well done and mashed potatoes clearly stating no bacon as I am allergic. What do you know here comes my loaded bacon potatoes and my far from being well done steak very much pink in the middle. I politely explained to the waitress about the mistake, In which she was very apologetic . However, the manager came over to apologize and ask if there's anything he do .
