The chairs are quite uncomfortable. They're literally metal stools. Certainly not fat people friendly. But if you get a chance to sit at the bar, those have cushioned seats. I was thoroughly entertained by the decor though. I love a cheeky sign. The bartender doubles as the waitress and she was very kind and attentive. Honestly, for such a small town kind of place I think it should to be considered a hidden gem!

The best part of my dining experience was the pizza as it was homemade with a perfect crust and amazing cheese and pineapple as well. If the restaurant could improve there nachos as they didn't feel homemade and nothing tasted fresh. I would like to see some pasta added to their menu. I heard about this place as I was coming through Callahan for the races. The ambiance was what you expect for a small town bar and the staff were pretty friendly.

Plenty of options still for everyone. You're also able to order beer from the bar side even if you're on the restaurant side which was nice. The fries and house made ranch were very good. Chicken was a bit dry in the wrap and it was open on both ends so everything fell out which I thought was odd. It still hit the spot though. Employees were all nice and seemed like a family owned place. Lots of cute decorations on the wall and notes from customers and lots of regulars. Both waiters were open carrying firearms, so if this bothers you I would stay away.

The half-portion breakfast burrito was more than enough to fill one up. While it was okay, it benefited from a side of salsa to add flavor, which also helped to add dimension to the otherwise accompanying bland hash browns. Others in my party ordered the biscuits and gravy which they absolutely loved and again, the single biscuit order was enough to satisfy each of their appetites.

Starting with the positives, the tasting, the food, the catering staff onsite during my wedding,…read moreand Vicky (who no longer works there) were all great. We used to buffalo gals for our wedding and food was great. Just a few points of miscommunication that caused a bit of unnecessary stress on my wedding day is why the loss of a stars. We were told that the one guest who was celiac and one guest who was vegetarian were going to have a plated meal to prevent risk of cross contamination and would ensure they had their food. We were told not to stress as they would be plated and given to the guests as they were given the guests names and could work with the seating chart. I noticed that the guest who was vegetarian was only eating sides so I had asked and she said she didn't know there was a separate meal. the celiac guest who luckily got to go through the buffet first did not have issues as she did get to go first but could've caused severe outcomes for her if she did have cross contamination. After talking with catering staff onsite they said they were told that the guest has to ask for it which was complete opposite of what was originally communicated, and they were deeply sorry. So just miscommunication with one that actually could've caused permanent harm if she had ingested gluten. We also paid an additional fee for grilling to be onsite, due to fire ban that was unable to occur. We understand that is not within our control but no where in the contract does it say that it is not refundable, so they just held onto that fee even though they didn't provide the service. When asked about the refund I was told the fee was for the tri-tip to be cooked on a specific grill but nowhere does that say that in our contract and was NEVER communicated - because if it was not onsite we were told the way it was cooked was the same - we thought we really were just paying for the experience of it being onsite. So biggest tip for anyone going through them is get everything in writing with clear communication and clarification, because without that they don't care to help.
