I recently went to Istanbul for a few days and my friend and I needed to get a hotel. I went to Hotwire.com and booked the room as Hotwire has always been reliable. I wanted to stay near the Sultanahmet and this hotel was a few kilometers away. I was sold just by looking at the website. This hotel is near Kadirga park south of the Grand Bazaar and closer to the water. It is situated near traditional Turkish shops and is near tons and tons of restaurants that will suck you into eating there. Happened to me a lot!
Once we arrived we were greeted by the Turkish hotel staff who spoke English very well. They checked us in and the hotel staff presented us a briefing of Istanbul showing us where to eat, the best places to go and the easiest way to get to places. This was extremely helpful as Istanbul's streets are poorly marked or not marked at all. They also provided us with a complimentary cocktail. They also had outlet adapters available for us to use and were very receptive.
The hotel also came with a free breakfast. The spread was decent but did not contain any breakfast meats which is understandable as the hotel has to cater to all guests from around the world. There is also free wi-fi which was pretty reliable. The hotel staff was also willing to arrange a car or taxi to pick you up. They also provided us advice on the public transportation (which is simple to use and very nice and clean!!). I would definitely stay here again. The rooms depending on the type and time you book them go for around a few hundred dollars. I definitely got an amazing deal with Hotwire.
The only reason that I did not give this hotel five stars is because it is very difficult to find. It is near the best Western. read more
