When I met with the accountant to file and review my taxes, I immediately saw an error and I am no tax expert. I took home my paperwork to review, then dropped off the efile consent form a few days later so they could efile my taxes. They never efiled my 2016 taxes. Attention to detail is a big deal when it's your accountant. I was charged an IRS penalty for failure to file, because of their inability to follow through.
