We then stumbled upon this outstanding little tourist shop located at the corner of the plaza, right across the street from the old church. The two young owners, Andy and Ydalis, explained that they opened the shop in January 2017. They were very kind, helpful and not at all pushy.. The shop has a nice assortment of souvenirs for all tastes. The selection includes a nice variety of local handicrafts at amazing prices. Although the store is tiny, it is nicely stocked with local candies, salsas, tee shirts, purses and all sorts of knick-knacks. Their prices are simply amazing...cannot be beat anywhere. Stop by and you'll be rewarded with nice gifts and a very pleasant experience with this delightful couple trying to make a go with their new business. Definitely worth a stop if you visit Mayaguez.

Normally I am very excited to shop in this store. But I went in at 5:50pm and while I know it can…read morebe annoying to have customers come in right before close (I work in retail so I can understand) you should still treat customers with respect even when your just about to close. Me and my friends didn't get greeted or asked if we needed help. Then when my friend was checking out there were two girls chatting behind the register and finished their conversation before even helping my friend cash out. Then the cashier (very tall, skinny, long brown hair) asked if my friend wanted a receipt she replied no and the girl just said "Ok" and that was it. No have a good night or anything. Honestly worst experience i've ever had there.

I'm so glad I did--the skirt was a great price, arrived quickly and looks great. They even sent a little note with it thanking me for the purchase. 10/10 would recommend!

I've bumped this review up to 2 stars only because of their excellent selection, such as Merle…read moreNorman makeup and Brighton Jewelry. They seem to be the only game in town, and they know it. The manager was nice, but the rest of the staff was inattentive and discurteous. My girlfriend waited at the Merle Norman counter for 10 minutes without being helped, and when my mom asked if they have a restroom, one of the employees "up and downed" her before being told no. I was treated similarly when I asked. I was able to get a very nice Christmas present last minuite, but I do not anticipate shopping here in the future.
