When to Oteo this evening. It's not your typical Mexican restaurant. It's more like 'New Age' Mexican. There is no decor that make you feel like you are in a Mexican restaurant. It was 'taco Tuesday' so you get 3 tacos not 2. The tacos were tasty but small. The menu is very limited, not many choices. Prices are high. We received very good service. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the food. Not a good restaurant for a hearty eater. read more

My son and I went to Oteo just prior to the BYU game (wish we has stayed at Oteo) and enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Our server, Phoebe, was very accommodative and checked on our table several times throughout our meal. She is the go to server. I ordered the two taco plate, barbecue which was the special protein that night, and the chicken. They were stuffed with some of the most savory ingredients. You will not be hungry after devouring this dish. My son ordered the Molote and was pleasantly surprised. They use only the finest of ingredients like Niman Ranch pork. We also ordered the Queso Fundido and while messy to eat was a nice start to the meal. Very clean and industrial look on the inside. when someone orders all the appetizers for a party of 3, you don't say, "that's a lot of food. are you sure?" you say, "great!" the service here is terrible. after scoffing at us for wanting to try their appetizers, they took our menus and I had to tell them we wanted to order an entree too. pretty unbelievable. the food is pretty great but it comes in miniature. read more

$14 for TWO small tacos (no sides)!?!? Yes, you read that correctly. The menu says two tacos for $11 and then you select from 3 different options. What your server won't tell you and what it doesn't say on the menu is that if you want to try two different types...say, one chicken and one steak...they raise the price from $11 to $14 !!!!!!! You don't find that out till you get your bill and since your bill is not itemized, most people will probably never catch this sneaky price increase. While the food tastes OK, it is definitely overpriced and these guys are very dishonest. read more

A bit pricey but amazing and worth every penny! The tacos are fresh, gourmet, original, and out of this world--and so pretty you almost hesitate to take a bite. It's like something from a foodie magazine! Pink pickled onions on shredded pork, golden beets and feta cheese with avocado, purple cabbage and Mexican cream on chicken. And all of it drizzled in some rich amber-colored oil. Go on Taco Tuesday so you can get three tacos for the price of two. It will fill you up and then some. This place is so unique and so delicious. You can taste the love in every bite. Nothing is ever exactly the same but everything is consistently infused with amazing flavors. All ingredients are organic and locally sourced. I would recommend the queso as an appetizer and then just ask for the chefs special. Mosi has a way of knowing what's good and what you'll like. Just have a little faith! And a must have for every occasion is the cronuts for dessert. This place is relatively new and there is no doubt it's going to be a local favorite. If you are vegetarian the avocado tacos are to die for, and even if you're not!! And if you are a meat lover, try the hanger tacos. You will be surprised at the uniqueness of the meal. And they even do taco Tuesday's where you can three tacos for the price of two. Might as well! What better day to fall in love with food than on a Tuesday. Everything is super fresh. You can tell from the first bite you take! Had the tacos and they were good, best part was the fresh corn tortilla. Definitely recommend the Granny Smith Apple appetizer salad!! AMAZING! The pork is really good for the protein. Not sweet like most Mexican places around here. The food is good. But food is only part of the experience. The building in Lindon is like a giant echo chamber. And when filled this is one of the loudest restaurants I've ever gone into. After the meal the waitress had to ask me three times if I wanted to pay the bill now or later. Very nice mix of flavors. Presentation as good as any fen restaurant. The owner did a nice job of explaining the menu. Had three tacos all with a different protein. They were all very good. loved the food--so happy to see the oteo family again -- and the fabulous menu will love to go there again for the fabulous food however, did not love the service, and may be hindered in returning by that -- was eating / chatting with a friend and was interrupted multiple times, mid bite or mid story, by the server who not only asked us how the food was, but then told us how great the food was ... we'd already said how much we loved the food, yet she continued to hover and to talk at us she and other service people also tried to remove our plates several times before we were finished -- I felt like they were trying to rush us out the door, although no one waited for our table the lovely woman refilling water also needs a refresher course in food service; she rested the water pitcher on the lip of each of our glasses, as I'm sure she did around the room. so let's hope all the diners last night were semi healthy--gag .. note: received a message from Sam Oteo asking for more details to help staff training ... class act ... and changed my rating to reflect the fab food, instead of the inexperienced staff ... definitely eat @ Oteo; it's fabulous read more

My favorite restaurant in Utah Valley! We go AT LEAST once a week. My favorites: Fruta, queso, hanger beef and avocado tacos.

Snooty much? 5 of us came in during our lunch break. I decided we come here because of the great yelp reviews. When we walked in the server/hostess asked if we had a reservation. We looked around and there were three or more available tables that could fit us. It wasn't that busy. We told her we had not made reservations and didn't realized we had to. She pointed to one of the empty tables that were still dirty and said that we can have that one, but it would be 15 minutes before they would clean it. The other two tables were ready but she said they were reserved for parties that had reservations. I am sure if the owner of the restaurant was there she/he would have made sure that table was cleaned off immediately for a party of 5 or had seated us at the ready table and clean the other table for the reserved party since they have not shown up yet. We were not going to wait 15 minutes when there were plenty of other restaurants nearby and especially after we were made to feel like degenerates because we didn't make a reservation. I grabbed take out: avocado taco, steak taco, and quesadilla. It was utterly delicious! Loved it. However, I rate it a 3 because of pricing. $5 for a little taco is quite steep! Even though they are exceptionally great tacos and recipes. Would frequent Oteo more often if prices were more reasonable. read more
