    Salmon Taco

What an amazing experience. Not only is the staff incredible but BOY will your taste buds be dancing a happy dance. The salmon taco was incredible- a journey with every bite. Steak taco was yummy but beware of spice. (; Queso was a fan favorite! Highly recommend by the whole group. The fruit salad was another appetizer favorite by all 7 individuals in our group. THE CHURROS. Please pause for a moment of silence for this heavenly desert... Get it to share and see everyone light up! Finally, we had a chance to talk with the owner and hear his story. It's a beautiful restaurant where you will also be supporting a family with a beautiful heart and vision. Enjoy! Hope to see you there.

Fruta: the combinations were sweet with tart and it worked incredibly well! The green apples were cut in such a fun way!

The first Saturday of every month they do a brunch. We did not know what was on the menu, but we were pleasantly surprised. The chef is unbelievable, it's five stars every time we come. My youngest son ordered a quesadilla, the fresh tortilla combo with the rock salt was especially delicious. Not sure anything can beat the churros though!

This pace is small, run by father and son and super yummy. Service is great. But the food is so flavorful and the owner just kept bring us new dishes to try. Soooo good! It's really small, like maybe 10 tables, but it's good.

First time trying Oteo and it did not disappoint! The parking lot is very small and we actually had to park across the street and walk over. The restaurant itself is small, quiet, and minimal. However, it's creates a nice intimate environment which I enjoyed. We started with the queso and it was absolutely delicious. It was so creamy and the jalapeños were a great addition to have some spice. The corn tortillas tasted homemade and I loved how you spin the cheese and put it into your tortilla. Would definitely get that every single time. I ordered the tacos. I got one salmon and one beef. The beef is advertised on the menu as a hangar steak and cooked medium rare. I will say, although the tortilla and the jalapeños were good for the taco, the beef itself was disappointing. It was chewy and cooked more like medium well. Didn't seem like the best quality either. There wasn't much pink at all in the meat. Some bites were flavorful and seasoned well and other bites had no flavor. I have to say, I was expecting a lot better - especially because our waitress said that was the best one. In my opinion, there also needed to be some type of sauce. The taco, likely due to the meat, was dry. The tortilla was delicious though. The salmon taco was the saving grace for the steak taco. It was a big piece of salmon and had amazing flavor. It was cooked perfectly. The sauces were creamy and delicious and all of the flavors complimented the fish very well. I would definitely order this again. I was very impressed. The service was really good too and they made sure to refill our drinks throughout our meal. I will definitely be back here for the queso and the salmon taco. I would like to try the shrimp taco as well. Pass on the steak taco. There's better in the valley.

I have been here three times and have tried three different entrees. They have all been delicious and perfectly cooked. They also have wonderful service. I loved that they brought my toddler a quesadilla right away to help her stay occupied and happy. This is a small restaurant with a small parking lot, but they make up for it with big flavor and great customer service. It is very clean and well decorated. Very cozy and intimate. I recommend it to everyone!

Stopped by when we had a taco craving, turns they're doing a Saturday brunch prix fixe for $30 so we decided to stay. It was fabulous!! Fresh, interesting flavors and beautiful presentation. Coffee or some other drinks would be the icing on the cake. We will absolutely be back for another meal!

I love the small, intimate, cozy ambiance of this restaurant in residential Lindon. The service is friendly and quick. The flavors are unique and contrasting. I love the presentation of the food, so colorful. Their queso dip is the best I've had, and the tortillas are thick and taste homemade. I've been here 3 times now, and I've been happy with my experience every time. Fresh, filling, and flavorful!

This was pretty tasty! I enjoyed the beef Molote. The beef was well cooked and the fried masa base was really good. We shared the queso and then shared churros and flan, all of which were good. Churros were fresh, warm, and doughy. The queso had a very unique taste and we all liked it. My only issue is it's a very small space and the waitress hovered a lot and we felt rushed, haha. But we overall had a good experience.

I recommend joining the waitlist in advance. It's tough to choose from such a wide range of delicious options, but my go-to pick is always the Mixed Berry Dutch Baby, Baby! The berry syrup and cream cheese topping set it apart from other breakfast places. We also had the Classic Breakfast Special, with crispy bacon cut thick to perfection. The interior is one of the most distinctive things about the place. Nearly all the Art Deco furnishings, the booths, mahogany paneling, black glass counter, and light fixtures, were salvaged from Lamb's Grill, a Salt Lake City restaurant that had operated since 1919 before closing in 2017. Eating here feels a bit like dining inside a piece of Utah history. The service is usually excellent, and you can tell they take the motto behind their name seriously: "True service is true religion." This visit, our waitress did seem in a rush to turn the table, but the quality of the food made it easy to overlook. Worth noting: they run a Second Chances charity that supports people in recovery from addiction, those reintegrating into society after incarceration, and folks rebuilding after financial hardship or other life challenges. It's a meaningful mission, and it's part of what makes this place feel different from your average breakfast spot.

Hot chocolate is awesome too. Always happy with the food!!

My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.
