Then he pulled up a chair and told us what he could make for us. No menu to read. We said we wanted some wine, he brought us a great glass of wine from Abruzzo. We ordered a lasagna and a fusilli with tomato and basil. Wow, wow, wow. So very good! Pasta is fresh made in-house. We then had the tiramisu. Again, perfection. A very good meal made better by the personality of Luciano. What a gem of a restaurant !

I had a hunch just walking in that Ristorante Milano would be different. This place fits more into a traditional Italian vibe, starting with the decor. There are simple white napkins and tablecloth, small flowers and oil and vinegar for the tables. The decor is mostly produce and there is a wall of family photos near the kitchen. The menu echoed this with a few specials, and many traditional dishes. And the meat had appropriate accompaniment including pasta depending on the dish! I ordered the Saltibocca alla Romana. I'm not discerning enough to say it was veal, but regardless it was a tender tasty beef. There was. generous cap of lightly fried prosciutto, and the gravy was tasty. The fresh pasta was also what I was looking for. The server spoke English, and was polite and efficient. One of the kitchen staff checked to see that we enjoyed the food. The menu was in german, but if you know your Italian fare you should be able to navigate it, and the server was able to answer our questions.

The bruschetta tasted so fresh and had a nice kick to it with the oil and toppings. The salmon pasta was super flavourful and seasoned with the meats and sauces which was incredible. The tiramisu had a nice fluffiness alongside the thicker cream on top which made it a great end of the meal. Service was attentive and the place had a fancy, elegant vibe. However, it felt so comfortable to be in the restaurant. I've never had authentic Italian food but this seems to top all of the other Italian restaurants I've been to - and for such a decent price too. Even helped me translate the menu (since I do not proficient in German) Tomo - Tomato soup was perfect. Good level of texture, where you know it's fresh, with good level of garlic and oil - pizza looked and smelled good, and tasted even better. The crust, which is bready, is crisp at the bottom so it can be carried. Since there were so many choices, I asked them to get me a half and half pizza, so I could try 2 separate types. They accommodated. And both sides were tasty
