After dodging actual bulls in the streets of Pamplona for San Fermín, my crew and I needed a real…read moremeal to reset, and El Mosquito absolutely delivered. The space is spacious with plenty of indoor seating, which was a welcome escape from the madness of the festival.
We started with the espárragos rellenos de txangurro and the txangurro gratinado, and honestly, both of those crab dishes were the undisputed stars of the show--rich, perfectly seasoned, and easily the best things we ate all trip. For the main, a friend and I split the seafood arroz con bogavante, chipirones y gambas, and I grabbed some costillas de cordero lechal on the side. Everything was flawless, no notes.
It was a smooth, incredibly satisfying experience that wrapped up perfectly when our waiter, who was also holding down the bar, came through with free shots of a local liqueur.
