In May 2020 I woke with a frozen leg - assessed as a serious blood clot in my left ankle. This was the height of Covid infection and the idea of going into any hospital was going to be worrying. In a matter of a few days I had the operation and was released. Being a non Italian resident I was more than happy with the service and friendly atmosphere in the operating theatre (I was awake and chatting throughout the procedure).
