Ok, if you made it to this far out place in Germany, you have either seen everything else important…read morebefore or you are lost. Seriously, there is not much in this part of the country beside some old buildings and castles.
This is a beautiful water castle build in 1550 and In 2007 converted with an attachment to a wellness four star Hotel. You will find 35 modern styled rooms combined with a renaissance castle. It really seems to be odd because you have the old style castle on one side and the high tech modern Hotel on the other side. It took me 1 second to turn on the lights, but than I needed 5 minutes to figure out how to turn it back off because from one light switch you can operate all lights in the room, the curtains, TV and the music in the bathroom.
The shower and the thrown are hidden behind a green glass door, but don't worry you can not see through the glass.
The rooms are very bright, the windows reach all the way from the ceiling to the floor.
Since this is a German castle it also comes with an attached brewery, what do you expect? Their Helles and Dunkles Weissbier is very famous in the southern part of Germany, but unfortunately I did not have the chance to try it, well maybe next year when I am back here.
The brewery is located in the former stables and it also comes with a beer garden which is open during the summer.
They would not let me see the dungeon.
