The place (where the duplexes are) are so well-maintained and really the area is so beautiful and much more impressive than I expected TBH! When I told people in the area why I was in IL and where my MIL and FIL moved- everyone said that Eden Village is great, they take really good care of their residents, and the transition to more assisted living is seamless! I feel safe and comfortable having my MIL and FIL living here now!

I can't recommend the Meridian Village Reach rehab facility. My wife spent more than a week there…read morerecovering from an emergency partial hip replacement. While she was there, she showed multiple signs of a UTI, possibly from catheterization during her surgery. I mentioned this several times and was ignored until I showed staff positive results from a home UTI test. They then agreed to send out a urine sample for test, but never got back to us with the results. Subsequent testing at BJC confirmed a UTI and my wife was put on antibiotics. Conjecture by a friend is that Meridian didn't want to report an infection to the state and was simply waiting for her to be discharged rather than taking action. Home care would have been better and safer for my wife.

The REACH program at Meridian is awesome, they are so friendly to my grandma who has had to be here…read moretwice now, they offer activities, bring therapy dogs, bring her snacks sometimes, at first she wanted to go home but now she kind of likes it here, she is still wanting to go home but at the same time she is comfortable here, they are quick at bringing her medicine when she isn't feeling good, the only thing I would recommend improving on is the therapy department here, there is a BIG lack of communication and don't always do the best job they either overwork her too much or they don't do enough at times, but other than that I think if you have to stay here for a short time for physical rehab I think it's a good place to go to. I can't vouch for the other living arraignments or their wait time for placement but as far as the REACH program I say excellent! Thank you for helping my grandma during this temporary hard time

This Doctor is a joke to medical professionals everywhere. To start, if you give him a bad review,…read morehe is quick to reply in a super snarky and inappropriate manner, telling you why your review is wrong in his eyes. I "liked" a comment someone had left reviewing him on Facebook at the beginning of seeing him, and at my next appointment, he called me into his office, showed me where I had liked a bad rating someone else had left, and asked me to "unlike" it. Who does that? He never keeps appointment times and feels it's appropriate to call you for your 1 pm telehealth appointment at 7 pm at night hoping you won't answer so he can mark you down as a "no show." I've also never had a doctor charge a $10 "convenience fee" when you call in to have your medications refilled. When I finally found a GYN to diagnose me after years of being miserable and getting me the surgery I needed that ended up saving my life, Dr. Hong got mad at me and accused me of "going to other doctors and having surgeries behind his back." Did I mention he's the one who recommended to the GYN who got me help in the first place? I had endometriosis so severely it was taking over my body, causing all of my issues. Don't even bother getting the office to fax any type of medical records anywhere in a timely manner, if even at all. They also love to tell you they "never got the fax" when I have other specialists send him records. I finally had to start bringing in hard copies of my records for him to even acknowledge they existed. He has ZERO bedside manner and no regard for his patients feelings at all. If you tell him you don't want to take the high dosages of pills he loves prescribing you for everything, and you are taking a smaller dosage instead, he accuses you of being a drug abuser. In my over 5 years of abuse from him, I was never actually examined in an actual examination room. All appointments were held in his personal office, where he barely used a stethoscope to examine you! It was always "what do you want now" instead of what can we try next. I stayed with him for so long because some days, he would be helpful, and I would just brush off his bad attitude on a bad day. When he couldn't diagnose me himself...I became a patient not worth his time. He wasn't even going to tell me he kicked me out of his office. I called to check on medications, and his wife answered the phone with, "Dr. Hong wants you to find a new doctor, have a nice day!" *click* No explanation. No warning. Just putting a chronically ill patient on my own.

I recently helped tour different assisted livings for my grandmother. I think the highest compliment I can give Stillwater is that not a single one we found was as nice, welcoming, and friendly as this place. Every place we toured, I compared to Stillwater. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY! After two months of living at Meadowlands my parents…read moregave their 30 day notice to vacate. During a COVID-19 lockdown Meadowlands staff "forgot" to bring food to my parents one day. My father would be left to go 6 or more hours without bathroom assistance almost on a daily basis. They did not give my father a shower for 3 weeks. Meadowlands is greatly under staffed. Many times when my parents would order an item on the menu they were told the kitchen was out of the item, almost daily. One Saturday the heat broke in my parents' apartment. Administration told my parents it could be fixed Monday or Tuesday (which means no heat for 3-4 days). My sisters and I had to contact administration to get the heat repaired before the weekend was over. My father's physician ordered some bloodwork to be done. Meadowlands is having problems with their contracted lab company and gave us the run around about having their staff perform the blood draw. It was almost a month before the bloodwork was done but we ended up having to find an independent company to go to Meadowlands to do the blood draw. Do not trust Administration. Administration does not communicate with the residents or the families of the residents. The Meadowlands Director of Health and Wellness posted an excellent review on their website google reviews and does not disclose she is an employee or what her position is at the Meadowlands. In my opinion this is very deceitful. People reading the reviews who are not clients of Meadowlands would never know she is an employee or what her position is at Meadowlands. There are so many more incidents that occurred over a few months time but these are some of the more serious issues.
