History
Established in 1955.
the firm known today as Osborne Rincon first opened for business nearly 60 years ago. The founders of the firm started providing accounting services to the Coachella Valley in the early 1950s. In the early 1960s, the company became Coachella Valley Tax and Accounting. In 1978, the firm evolved yet again when it was named after its three owners: Peterson Slater & Butvidas.
In 1995, Lee M. Osborne joined the company as tax manager. In 1998, he became president/owner of the firm and changed the name to Peterson Slater & Osborne. Four years later, Pedro T. Rincon came to the firm and joined the partnership in 2004. Together, they have raised the profile of the firm to new heights and fostered a professional environment based on teamwork and client service. In 2011, the partners announced the new name of the firm, Osborne Rincon Certified Public Accountants.
Meet the Business Owner: Osborne Rincon C.
Lee M. Osborne, CPA, CFE, joined the firm of Peterson Slater & Butvidas in 1995 and became President of the company known today as Osborne Rincon in 1998. Lee has been in accounting since 1984.
During his 25 years in public accounting, Lee has done extensive work in many areas, including agriculture, retail sales, service industry, and manufacturing. He simplifies complex tax strategy and gives the client a better understanding and comfort level while increasing their business and personal wealth.
Pedro T. Rincón, CPA, CVA, joined the firm in 2002 and became a partner in 2004. He began his career with the L.A. office of Deloitte & Touche LLP before moving to the Coachella Valley in 1998.
Pedro has over 15 years of experience providing accounting and tax services for agriculture, construction, distribution, hospitality and not-for-profit entities. In addition, he is a Certified Valuation Analyst providing valuation and litigation consulting services to business owners and attorneys.
