Oryspa comes from "oryza" in "oryza sativa," the scientific name for rice. So "Oryspa" basically means rice spa. And yes, all or most of their products are made from rice, particularly from rice bran.
I hadn't heard of Oryspa until I received a Meditation Balm as part of a Christmas gift for me. I was told the meditation balm could be used in lieu of Vicks, Efficascent Oil, Tiger balm, and the usual pain reliever. Well, it smelled really good and I like it better than any of those mint or menthol balms I mentioned! I started bringing it most of the time, and would put it on my head or below my nose even when I just wanted to relax and not necessarily relieve pain. It was, after all, a "meditation balm."
Back then I found out that Oryspa only had a branch in Calamba, Laguna, which I went to one time. So I was happy to see an Oryspa branch right in Megamall when I happened to walk by one time. It's a kiosk in the middle of Mega A. There, I was able to happily replenish my Meditation Balm and get other products too like their exfoliant soap. Oryspa also has shampoo, soap, powder, and even solid perfume. read more
