Check-in was a breeze, even for someone like me who is a new patient. Dr. Garten's nurses were also very sharp. Dr. Garten herself was a pleasure. She made me feel right at home, listened to my concerns, offered candid thoughts, and didn't hesitate to get me x rays and a brace. Her style was casual but very thorough and precise. It felt like I was being looked at by an old friend as opposed to a complete stranger. I was sent home with exercises for my ankle, a brace, medicine for swelling and even a copy of my x rays. My new shoes were returned to me within 2- 3 weeks, but today is 106 days since ordering, and the office manager refuses to return my calls - seven in the last seven business days. I always get someone off-site who says the office manager will return my call promptly, but that has yet to happen. If this type of service continues, I will be seeking another doctor and practice.

A few months ago I noticed and felt a tender lump on the side of my foot which made it difficult to wear closed shoes. The doctor took an xray and showed me that I didn't have the type of surgery I was told I was having because the typical surgery requires one screw be placed in my foot but I had three screws and they weren't in the correct place where he explained they should be. I thought the lump was the screw but it's actually my bone because the surgery wasn't done properly.
