In mid-October, 2025, I spent a week at Northwest Hospital for chronic wounds and cellulitis caused…read moreby lymphedema and diabetes. Throughout my time there, everyone on the staff, from doctors and nurses to food service and cleaning staff, went above and beyond to take care of me to the absolute best of their abiiity. My room was always clean, medications were administered on time, and they all gave me the impression that they genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as a patient. I want to give special credit to nurses Teresa, Marlo and Jennifer, who went above and beyond to make sure I was well cared for and comfortable. I truly appreciate the efforts of these three ladies. The only complaints I have about my stay was having to sit in the emergency room lobby for four hours after being seen and admitted, waiting for a bed to be available, and they have the worst food and coffee of any hospital I've ever been in.

They made an 96 year old man sit in the ER for over Four Hours…read more When they finally had enough and told the receptionist they were leaving , they magically got to see a nurse! Who had been sitting there the entire time! Calling it Poor care quality is being polite. I was there almost two hours and we left because they would not say if it would be 10 minutes or 3 hours. But No one was being seen except the 96 year old who threatened to leave. Went home called an ambulance. They gave meds and IV bag. They took her back to this hole and they set her in the hall . We left. Don't bring a dog to this place! Special shout out to the emergency room receptionist, she certainly wasn't a nurse (no nurse would ignore two people in distress, who are writhing in pain!) . FU. And the nurse who FINALLY GOT OFF HER ASS to help the 96 year old man , hope your parents end up with a similar care giver. How do two sleep at night?

Met with Dr Outzs who is family practice & a sports Dr. Checking in was Easy, the staff were very friendly & engaging. I waited less than 5 min. Triage: weight, stats about your health & why are you here today. Dr Outzs was very nice. Q&A was friendly & information was great. He listened to everything I said intently & offered guidance. Finding a GP I'm comfortable with is important. So glad I found one of the good ones. If looking for a good Dr with a caring heart, he's my recommendation.

She saw in what kind of state I was but took 1/2 to have me sign 10 pages of paper and make sure she gets my payment! Since I hadn't met my deductible, I had to pay $500 just because they took my blood pressure and prescribed something that didn't help! I had a back/leg pain that I was literary bent and they couldn't give me the right care! Didn't take any MRI or x-rays. The first night they gave me a medicated pad (salonpa)and I asked for a 2nd one, they said "you can buy it from the pharmacy)"! Mind you they meant the CVS or Walgreens at 10pm. What a shame to have medical professionals who don't like their job and don't care for people. I hope none of you ever need to go to the ER. I place St. Joseph and Banner way above them, though that was 12 years ago and maybe that has changed too

Now we're scrambling to find help for our daughter. The admin staff showed zero empathy, zero accountability, and left us in the cold! Authorities should investigate for closure.

Both having visited a friend there and young adults sharing their experiences, I felt it necessary to make a statement that I too, give it a NEGATIVE REVIEW. Disappointed to hear from many that what takes place in reality in this facility is not how it is marketed. No direct counseling available or offered. No therapy tailored for individual or group needs of patients. GROUP was once daily and it was for all patients currently residing there. Group content was not tailored to the needs of the patient. What about goals for treatment? I was told that wasn't addressed. But how would the psychiatrist know when the person was ready for discharge? Patients felt that there was a common timeframe that people were there- approx 7 to 10 days. (WOW, I thought !) All stated that staff did not know anything about the patients, including why they are there. It is common to feel like cattle. No staff on shift, that patients interacted with regularly, knew any information about the patients. Often heard was, 'We do not know. If you don't know and it's urgent, we can message the doctor.' It was clear that 'the doctor' (someone that patients never met) had to approve/deny even small matters- i.g. request for a second blanket; &/or pillow. Any dietary change requests had to be approved also. Thus, some couldn't eat much for 2 days or so if they were kosher, vegan, etc. And staff tonight give patients updates from the doctor. Patients hover by the front desk waiting for answers. Waiting for staff to look up & assist them. Patients felt ignored by staff. At the very least, a bother. Staff did not even know when the doctor, psychiatrists, discharge worker, etc. will be to the unit. How do patients heal & feel when stripped of basic human necessities? Down to the food you eat, asking for hand lotion, soap, toothbrush, etc. Seems all small details needs doctor approval. If staff on shift know nothing about patients, what do they do? They direct you, enforce the rules, tell you when it's time to line up for lunch, line up for medications, when showers will be turned on, and the like. ⁉ Wait. What!? I was shocked that patients can only take a shower when the showers are turned on. This happens twice a day. Early AM and before bedtime. For the rest of the time, showers were returned off. Don't even ask former patients about the lack of water flow in the showers. This facility has changed my view on inpatient units. I never will suggest/recommend. Some have trauma after they leave such facility. Heartbreaking.
