It was quiet ( we were the only ones in there, and service service was adequate but not brilliant. That said, we were off to the theatre so in all honestly we were clock watching a bit, as you can sooooo easily lose time in a restaurant. Jonny and il professore put on a great night (with plenty of good food, to boot). Highly recommended! Update: Jonny has taken over running The Swan in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds. A great shame, since The Shiplaunch was becoming a really great bistro pub. Will look into a few of us hiring a sharabang to go to Woolpit for the quiz later in the year. Will be interesting to see if the new proprietor of The Shiplaunch is able to maintain the high levels that Jonny and crew set. Update, June 2008: Met the new owner this week. He is just getting the catering facilities up and running and is also looking into carrying on the activities that Jonny so successfully started (incl. quiz nights and live music).
