We dined there on Saturday 28th of May…read more The food was good. we part paid by cash leaving a £30 credit card payment which was put through the machine by a short waiter who I guess was in his early fifties. He informed our friend that her credit card payment had not been authorised. I was already about to make up the shortfall by cash but he was extremely reticent to hand over the printout from the machine which aroused our suspicions. We eventually did wrestle the printout from his clenched hand and discovered upon examination that the payment had gone through. It is my belief that the waiter was attempting to get us to pay again through deception, although I can't prove it. At any rate I would not recommend anyone eating here and if you do, I would strongly suggest paying by cash rather than card as I believe that this restaurant has crooks and thieves working there. I also doubt if we were the first that this deception was attempted on or the last. Go elsewhere, not here. On the plus side the food was nice, but we will never return.

It's main purpose (I think) is as an all you can eat Chinese buffet and in my more youthful days those four magic words ("all you can eat") used to fill me with great enthusiasm. I was under the illusion that I'd show them for having such a ridiculous policy. I'll take them to the cleaners I used to say. Well now that I'm a little older, I've learnt that they're able to get away with this policy buy serving the most God awful, grease filled, MSG induced garbage. Dragon Kiss employs the same tactic with their buffet. It's not great. What's also not great about the place is around 8 o'clock at the weekend, Dragon Kiss doubles as a bar/karaoke hang out for Weston oiks and pikeys. If the food wasn't bad enough, listening to some chav belt out The Pussy Cat dolls doesn't make it any better.

It is a little bit expensive but only £6 at lunchtime, perfect for filling an empty stomach.

Frequently open during the day time this restaurant is also a candidate for lunch. It's possible to pick up some English snacks at this time with dishes like steak and kidney pie and the old favourite - fish and chips. It is the Chinese cuisine, however, that really stands out and is worth making the trip for.

They every have a court yard at the back which is very pretty. The takeaway service is very quick, if you call in advance you meal will be ready as soon as you arrive to collect it.
