This branch has modern decoration and ample seating options. Servers greet you as soon as you walk in, and serve you with various mezes including Ezme and tursu. They bring hot icli köfte to the table and it is excellent -- thin outer later and delicious filling. We had Antep lahmacun which was also excellent but we have to come back to try their doner, kebabs and desserts.

Boğaziçi Lokantası is a very good sample for those tremendous "Esnaf Lokantası"( little shop owners…read morelunch place) in Turkey. For those market places in all around Turkey, as in Anafartalar Çarsısı shop owners and surrounding of it and bureaucrats in old Ankara used to come this place since 1956. Although it changed it's character and turned out a bit more "touristic" nowadays, this is a unique sample for tasting great Turkish foods. It is not only kebaps or döner in Turkey. Oh lord, as good as Turkish food gets... The appetizers were great (findik lahmacun, ezme and the…read moresalad). 3 of us ordered ali nazik, sac kavurma and beyti kebap to share. It was more than enough food and the tastes were out of this world. Ali Nazik remains my personal fav out of the 3. Service can be a little awkward, yet I didn't think it was a reason to knock a star off. Not inattentive in any way, just awkward (compared to Europe and US standards), but probably due to cultural differences, this is moreso the norm here.
