I definitely won't recommend Oregon Medical Group for Physical Therapy! I felt I was robbed of my hard-earned money, they charge $563.06 for 1st two appointments ... I was never told how much it will cost and they are very aggressive to get you set up for multiple future appointments. I asked both the time when I went for the appointment what's the cost going to be with or without insurance, I have good insurance from PeaceHealth but something told me not to go for 3rd appointment and I am thankful of my instinct... NOTE: $238 for evaluation, $230 for therapeutic activities this was my 1st-day cost. read more

I have been dealing with compounding issues with Oregon Medical Group since February (it is now July) and it is clear this company does not value actual patient care. If you have a billing dispute? My experience has been regret, frustration, and the trauma of navigating a system designed to dismiss and stonewall their patients (everyone with OMG is trained to say "I'm sorry, but I don't anything about that, and I don't know who you should talk with. I'm sorry, they don't train me with that information."). I have been lied to from OMG billing ('um we a letter of explanation on the way...' wrong, that letter never existed, the clinic manager never wrote one and told me as much) and lied to by an actual Clinic Manager last week (July), who both claimed she had been trying to reach me since April from when I left several unanswered voicemails with her. (excuse me? I am a patient in your system, you have my contact information. Plus I have icloud notifications linking my phone and computer, the 'technology error' excuse is no excuse at all). The Clinic Manager also stated she didn't have the power to influence the bill that was issued to me (LIE, this is contrary to the information I was given by OMG Billing and my insurance). Apparently, no one at OMG can help you if you have a problem but 'they're so sorry!' Last week I discovered that the medication I had been taking for two months had been modified from my previous prescription without my consent or knowledge. I suddenly noticed the fine print and compared it to an empty older bottle. When I talked with the doctor's assistant about this change she stated 'but it treats the same condition', yes, but I went on a trial run through multiple previous medications that treated 'the same condition' and found the one that worked for me (That was through Oregon Health Plan and my previous, excellent doctor). Without realizing medication was playing a role I was experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, and one night experienced auditory hallucinations. I realized that night what was going on when I checked outside to see where the sound was coming from, laid down, got up to check again, I finally realized it was in my mind. Disturbed, I didn't tell my boyfriend (we live together) until recently when I could make sense of it. I look forward to hearing from that clinic manager about this level of negligence/ malpractice. I joined OMG in January when my insurance changed along with my job. I had considered myself a healthy young 29 going on 30-year old but over the winter I was under high levels of stress and it showed on my body. I was skinny but the kind of weight I lost made me closer to being anorexic. Oregon Health Plan covered the cost of a biopsy I went into for fibrous tissue found (genuine fear of cancer) and for a blood test that indicated I might have an autoimmune disorder, I was afraid and suddenly needed to transition doctors and insurance due to work. I chose Oregon Medical Group and was looking forward to my appointment to pick up the treatment that left off with many unknowns. I saw my new doctor at OMG in February and reviewing my recent medical concerns he said 'I don't know anything about this blood test, but you're probably fine and it'd be expensive to find out' and as far as my weight 'that's healthy, skinny is good'. I knew this doctor wasn't right for me from the beginning. Discovering this medication error is a new low. That's a close as I can come to a 'summation' of my trials with OMG. I have put actual days of time into phone calls, letter writing, and emails to OMG. As time has ticked away I have realized dealing with OMG at all is a 'Sunk Cost Fallacy'. It's an emotional experience, they have your most personal information and are in charge of our only real possession of value: good health, and it feels incredibly horrible when you take an appointment you think you know the cost of ($40) and it turns out those 30 minutes of time to talk to a doctor cost you $465 dollars. If I was feeling that fast and loose I would have purchased a roundtrip plane ticket. Cost transparency is not a priority of OMG even when you ask and ask, but no one at OMG knows an answer, because I have played at asking OMG representatives at every level how their system works and the short answer is: it's a trap. The not so funny thing is, I have received no value from any of the care I have received through OMG, but pay up. I thought I had a good case, my deductible is $250 and OMG representatives can't answer basic questions about appointment cost but the patients are always wrong, so 'sorry'. read more

Went in to audio tests for my wife and OMG said that our insurance would cover 70% of the hearing aids. So instead of getting the cheapest hearing aids we up bought a more expensive unit since our insurance was going to cover such a high percentage. As is turns out our insurance covers zero percent for hearing aids thus OMG made false statements to get us to spend more. Buyer beware and watch your wallet!!!!! read more

I moved to Oregon in September and had "fish bowl" hearing in one ear. I saw a doctor in this group and he literally was in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes. They charged $305 for a first time office visit and $85 to use an otoscopic ear tool, you know the one that the dr. sticks the small handheld device in your ear and tells you if you have an ear infection or not? Yeah! $85!!! I called the billing department and was told that they had a payment plan option. It takes me 3 days to earn that much money and in one swoosh they grab it and run. There is clearly something wrong with this picture. I was told by the billing department that they would not reduce the charges, so now I'm having to strategize what I can give up this month to pay for a doctor's office visit which, by the way, told me nothing about my hearing. I literally cried when I got off the phone. I should have been told how much this was going to cost me when I scheduled the appointment! I will never NOT ask again. This review is really to warn others that, AS PATIENTS, WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES AND BE SURE TO ASK AHEAD OF TIME HOW MUCH SOMETHING WILL COST US BEFORE AGREEING TO THE TREATMENT. Doctor offices make us sign pieces of paper saying that we agree to pay for their services, but they have to tell us what those services are going to cost us! That's just ethically right! I'd give my visit with Timothy Tseng a PA a zero if I could. He didn't examine me and he didn't even come with in three feet of me. I have something wrong with my eye and he just prescribed antibiotics without even examining me. I even called him on it and questioned that we was going to just prescribe antibiotics without even examining me. Yes he said as he walked out of the room. That is not practicing medicine. I have never had such an uncaring and indifferent health care provider in my entire 53 years of life. I even assured him that I had already had covid, and his response, was to act like I was lying. Weve been waiting for over a week to get prescriptions refilled. Weve been on the phone several times a day speaking to different assitants, and one was completely rude, as if I were out of line being concerned as to why I couldn't get my scripts filled, and Ive never been anything but polite with these folks. We were told each time it would be sent to the physician, and each time nothing was done. Now 5 days later, waiting still, one wonders how these people get hired. Inefficient service with an attitude. I would never recommend this facility. Weve been out of medications, 3 days now and have been waiting 5. 24 -72 hours is obviously not enough time for this facility. I had a wonderful experience with OMG during my pregnancy and birth of my last child, almost three years ago. And my children have an amazing pediatrician. However, things have changed and it's been one bad experience after another. Now when you call with a health issue you have to wait for a call back from a nurse, who will then just tell you to go to the NOW walk-in clinic. Because the Drs are so booked up you can't get in for months. And the Drs at the NOW clinics are ok, but not great, you don't see the same person twice, there's no continuity of care and most of the time they just recommend you get in with your regular Dr asap. It's a colossal waste of time and resources for the patient, especially when your a sick!!. I'm mid-pregnancy and so fed up I'm considering switching care providers, even though that is a huge hassle. And we chose our current insurance specifically so we could have omg for this pregnancy. First of all, I hate going to the doctors or the hospital. Lately, my wife has had some unknown stomach problems and my son also had a rash we were unaware of. Both times we schedule a doctors appointment was after hours. The first was on Memorial Day weekend, and there were more people there than anticipated. Yes, we did wait about 30 minutes longer than our scheduled appointment, but obviously they had a bunch of people in there. The on call staff was great, very knowledgeable, and sent us the the ER for further scanning. When we took our son in, it was on a Saturday. We arived, little to no people, and we saw the nurse, and 2 minutes later, the doctor came in, knew exactly what the problem was. reassured us about everything, and we were on our way. Probably the fastest in/out appointment we ever had. We also bug the Triage Nurses when our child is sick. We always get a callback within 30-45 minutes. Very helpful over the phone and always calm us down with the necessary steps to soothe our kids. We absolutely love the ability to call 24-hours a day for advice! Lastly, OMG is our regular doctor of course. Our pediatrician is Dr. Andrus and she is probably the best pediatrician in the world. She gives it to us straight, always calls us back when we have questions, and is wonderful with the kids. I highly recommend OMG! read more

Oregon Medical Group has existed for almost 30 years - I have been a patient of Oregon Medical Group for almost 30 years. OMG used to have excellent service and excellent providers. Unfortunately over the last couple of years it appears all the doctors (mine at any rate) want to do is run up billable hours and give no care. I recently had a full physical and what I got, well, I'm not sure what I got but it was certainly not a physical or even a well check - it was an absolute joke!!! On top of that I got billed for the physical ($355) and then got charged for an "office visit" ($206) on top of that. I have never seen this strange billing and when I called the office they explained it was because we talked about something medical - jeez, I thought that what the physical was all about. My wife sees the same doctor. About 3 weeks ago she had a physical (only got charged the $355) but at that time the doctor had her make a separate appointment for a PAP Smear. When she returned to see the very doctor who told her to make the separate appointment he then changed his tune and said she didn't need one for 2 more years!!! Why have her return for an unneeded appointment. OMG is all about money, ZERO patient care. As a note, the office we use is Crescent in Eugene. I have absolutely no trust in my doctor or the office. Although it creates a huge hassle it appears to protect myself I will be changing doctors and have nothing to do with OMG any more. read more

I saw my NP recently after postponing Dr. visits because of covid. I told the scheduler that I had at least 4 complaints and she made the appointment for me. The appointment started off wrong when the Np told me she didn't have the time to listen to all my problems. I told her I was going to tell her anyway. I feel that a physician works on my behalf and it is my nickel so I should have some control during the appointment. I mentioned something to her that I thought was related to what we were talking about and she immediately said "I don't have time for that" thinking that I was bringing up another problem. Now she was telling me what I could say. I thought she had a superior stingy-time attitude even though she was nice enough and we did go over everything in our 20 minute appointment. read more

I asked to pay cash but they insisted on billing my insurance which is California. Now instead of a reasonable fee they are charging me an absurd and unreasonable amount. I have been robbed at gun point. OMG will take your money with verrrrrrrrrry little treatment....I had a great temporary MD there. She was kind and real and treated me like a human being... I really liked and respected her. I saw her while I was waiting to see my PCP to get established. Her name was Dr. Dear. I went in and got a wart burned off on my finger and asked if she would burn it for longer than 3 seconds. She said no and the freezing barely took off the top layer of the skin, not even touching the wart. So I went in for a second treatment and again she would only do 3 second burn. After those 2 treatments I received the first bill for $300 stating that I had, had surgery, little be known to me. I called both OMG & my insurance and OMG said that they would review the records. When I called to check in, they told me that the documentation supported the charge. Now I have a $600 bill for 6 seconds of "freezing a wart." I cannot believe how much they are oriented towards taking your money vs treating a patient and this is coming from someone who is in healthcare. So be weary if you are going there... as even the nicest MDs are not there for anything be $. read more

If you don't mind being shuffled along the "physician-roulette wheel" every year or two with your personal physician and then having to waste your own time and money acquainting yourself with doctors who did't read your chart - awesome! I had a really good GP here.. He got a better job. Then I had a GP I didn't really even notice but who wasn't a problem, then she got a better job. Then I was handed off to some intern-sounding woman who could barely speak english and who spent more time harping on me about m blood pressure than worrying about the reason I came in for. Then I got another boring doctor - who left in 6 months. Then I got some fratbro doctor who got in my face and threatened me when I tried to talk to him about the mental issues I'd been having with my *anxiety meds*. Then I got some "physician's assistant to a group of four+" doctors and was charged $500 to have this assistant basically start my health history with OMG from scratch, and then harp on me about my blood pressure before GRUDGINGLY giving me a 2x-refill prescription that I've been taking for 20 years.. So I said fuck this place, if all they want to do is line up other tests without being supportive of my actual needs, later! Then I realized there's not really anywhere better in town. If you're white and wealthy and well-insured they'll only cost you an arm. I have been seeing omg for my entire life and I switched to Anita Giesler when my original retired. Every time I see her she talks over me and refuses to hear what I have to say about my own symptoms. When I went to see her about getting adhd medication (which I have been diagnosed with multiple times for as well as had the required paperwork) she said it wasnt adhd and likely caused by other things like stress from my phone. She did the same when I came in with diagnosed anxiety looking for help. Today when I had an appointment with her to see about a cough I have had since May, she said it was most likely a cold and to wait two days and come back if it doesn't get better. This seems to be Anitas way of doing things as a doctor? Basically say that my symptoms aren't caused by a medical issue that needs her help. It honestly just feels really disheartening and frustrating every time I see her because I feel like I have to prove that my symptoms are real. We have been with OMG for close to 20 years and in the past 5 years it has really, REALLY changed. It's at the point where loving the quality of your children's pediatrician is just not enough.... unfortunately. I feel as though staff at VCC are only there to collect a paycheck - you can get that anywhere. Many staff are just plain indifferent, and I speak of the whole range from the front desk to the billing office. I have ***seriously*** in the past 4 years NEVER been greeted with a smile when I have walked into the Valley Children's Clinics front doors. Most often I am just looked at and have to state why I am there... where did all the warm and welcoming hello's go? A call to the business office regarding a billing/guarantor question garnered a few holds and a wishy-washy answer, from a company that has been in business for how long??? I would just hope that a post such as this (and the others here as well) would serve as a wake up call to the support staff in these roles to realize that a friendly smile when we walk through the door and a warm tone over the phone DOES make a difference. Honestly, leave your personal baggage at the door, your frustration from your commute and the demands of your job.... and smile, really SMILE at the person standing before you, or calling in; after all, we are the reason your paycheck exists. We are truly the purpose of your work. Treat us in the same manner that you would like to be treated; not the way John Doe treated you or treats you... be respectful, be HAPPY to see us. We know were just a small portion of the pie, however, we are a portion and over the long haul our word does travel and we do talk to friends, family and coworkers; after all the stellar pediatrician we see (Young) depends on staff to be an extension of their care, to represent their level of compassion and attentiveness. Things need to step up for us to stay. OMG is just plain not what it used to be... as the saying goes: Be the change you wish to see in the world... challenge yourself to make a difference to just one person each day, smile when you answer that phone 'that just won't quit ringing'. read more

Billing department is terrible. I had a service in March of 2016. Previous services were paid for in full by my insurance and when I received no bill I thought this was the case. UNTIL 3 months later I look at my credit report and there is a collection. I called the agency, they told me what it was pertaining to and I immediately called Oregon Medical Group. I got a rude customer service rep and until I asked to speak to the manager got no where. When I spoke to the manager she said she was going to retract it from collections and write it off because they had NO record of contacting me regarding the delinquent account. All good. Now, a full year and a half later I get another hit on my credit for the same account! In process now with the collection agency and credit bureaus to get it deleted. SO FRUSTRATED! read more

Went to their NOW clinic with respiratory problem and chest pain. I didnt have an appointment. Just walked in. They got me in immediately. Immediately started getting my vitals, and assessing. The facility in general is about as good as any other high volume doctor company. Stay away from the Northside clinic, tho... the office and staff are totally incompetent, unprofessional and unhelpful. Stay away from Physician's Assistant KELLY BOEING, especially. My experience with her was awful--she couldn't answer my questions and left the office several times during my "exam". I have wonderful doctors with OMG, so I'm specifically dinging OMG management, which evidently forces its triage nurses to send everyone to the ER no matter what the patient requests. I had called in to ask for a referral to an eye doctor, but instead of a referral a triage nurse called me back and insisted I go to the ER. I said I didn't need that level of care but she said I could suffer a stroke if I didn't go immediately. I finally gave in to her wrongheaded advice and went, suspecting it was boneheaded advice. And it was! She had no clue what she was doing, and I was a fool to succumb to her fearmongering. As a result, I got stuck with about $3,000 worth of bills that were completely unnecessary. Do NOT listen to OMG triage nurses if you call in for a referral or a simple question and they send you to the ER. I'm guessing OMG management forces them to dispatch people to the ER in order to avoid lawsuits, but that's an extremely poor way to provide so-called medical care. I had a $2870 deductible and thanks to OMG I got to pay it all out (and more) in just a few hours. Oh My God is right. read more

I have been with OMG for 5+ years now, and am considering switching for the first time ever. Called the office for a doctor's appointment for acute ear pain. After waiting on hold for an excessively long time, I was old I couldn't see my usual MD for at least 6 weeks. Asked if I could, instead, see the MD I saw a few months ago for an ear infection, since he treated me then and the symptoms seem to be the same. Nope, can't see him until mid-August either. I know it's the summer, but having to wait 6 weeks to see someone for pain (and possibly infection) is ridiculous, as is the notion that they don't keep some appointments available for just this kind of thing. So now I guess I have to go sit for hours in urgent care in order to be seen. Really feels like they don't care much about me as a patient, and certainly don't care about making sure I get continuous care from doctors who have already seen me before. Service here has REALLY gone down in the past year or so. Not happy. read more

The people here are friendly enough. But my husband and I were dealing with scheduling issues while I was in the military and we ended up missing a couple of appointments (some that we didn't even make) and they ended up "firing" us. I spoke with one of the managers and tried to work out the situation once I was out of the service but they refused to take us back. Oregon medical group practically has a monopoly in this area so it makes it difficult to find an office that isn't controlled by them. We also had other issues with them right after my son was born. We just wanted to speak with a doctor after hours. When the doctor finally contacted us he was very rude and told us take take him to the ER, which was totally unnecessary. Don't waste your time, find a clinic that isn't affiliated with OMG. read more

Their billing department makes you sign a document stat states that you will make payments for your medical expenses even before they provide them. Their management team is very unprofessional, so if something goes wrong good luck with getting some help. I went today to see Dr Gill at the OMG office located on Garden Way in Eugene. The gal who took me to the room was more helpful and gave me more information that the actual Dr. I've never seen this man before in my life, nor will I ever again. I had informed the dr that I had changed my mind against getting an IUD and that I would rather do the arm implant. He kept trying to push me into getting an IUD. He had no reason, nor would tell me why he thought that was better. After telling him my viewpoint and why i didn't want to do an IUD anymore, he told me that my information was wrong and that I should do it. I felt very pressured into what he wanted, and he wasn't really wanting to listen or work through it with me. Needless to say, I DID get the arm implant birth control that I wanted from him, but I would never recommend him to anyone. Very disappointed with the care provided by Oregon Medical Group. I went to the Walk-In Clinic on Willamette and regret it ever since. First off, I was initially told I would only pay a certain amount for my visit at the front desk, but ended up being billed double that amount (for a 10 minute visit to refill my prescriptions, mind you). After reaching out to their Billing dept. and explaining the situation, I was contacted by Barbara who very condescendingly made me feel at fault and left me to think there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation, even though *their* employee gave out the pricing info that I received. I reached back out to solve this issue since this was not my error, but was not contacted again and received a letter from collections for the remaining amount. Horrible place to transact business. My husband needed a RX refill for a newer RX - after 90 days of first issuance. He was called back to Doctors office for a re-check, only a 5 min appoint with Doctor, no full annual exam. in June 2013 They billed it as a Routine Physical, which was declined because they had just completed one before they issued this new RX & these are considered Annual Exams & only allowed every 2 yrs. We tried numerous times to get the billing department to review our dispute of the erroneous use of an insurance billing coding via letters, emails and phone calls. OMG Billing Department refused to return calls or emails or letters. Left msgs for Tasha (Natasha Plowman and C Woodke). Even if coding ultimately could not be changed, we were owed some written or verbal reply to our disputes & all the time we spent in multiple phone calls and emails and letters trying to understand whether or not they were doing their job correctly or not. We can only assume not and that they don't care. Thank god this wasn't a surgical procedure or something! We never received a response. We paid the $330 office visit bill in Oct 2013 lieu of being sent to collections yet called Doctors office to leave message with nurse that we are leaving not due to Doctors services but the lack of response & rudeness of their billing dept. Doctor needed to be informed of horrible back office treatments patients are being subjected to - he's paying for it & he can fix it with enough complaints. Guess they don't care as there are too many patients and not enough physicians. Do I even have to give them a star?? I have been anywhere from Springfield , Northside Clinic, Country Club rd, to After Hours Clinic. I have had no choice but to use Oregon Medical Group for my Primary care. I have gotten nothing but second rate care. No compassion, knowledge of medical practice, my records, allergies of medication, or medical history! I have very serious medical problems due to my kidneys, that need expert care, and I cannot trust them to even follow through with a referral, or proper health care, let alone a phone all back after 4 messages and more "notes to the doctor" from the front office staff than I could count! They also treat you like you are an inconvenience to them, and seem to forget that WE are PAYING THEM for a service! Had I treated my customers the way I have been treated, I would have lost my job! I compare Oregon Medical Groups services to generic Macaroni and Cheese, you know how no matter how they try to change up the recipe (in this case the doctors) it still leaves that bad taste in your mouth? I went to Urgent Care for a finger that was dislocated playing ball, to ensure it wasn't broke. They x-rayed it and it was fine so they popped it back in place. When I received the bill, it was larger than my bill for the E.R. when I broke my elbow playing ball which required a lot more time, work, AND was at the E.R. after midnight! I disputed the Oregon Medical bill but they immediately responded that it was correct. I called to talk to them about it, and was on hold for 15 minutes before giving up and hanging up. I gave Oregon Medical Group one star only because there was no option for zero stars. Horrible treatment all the way around. read more

The PT physician was great, I appreciated his help and friendliness. However, the OMG policy of "3 missed appointments and your out" has cast me aside. I do understand the purpose of such a policy is to keep the schedule booked, but it does not show loyalty to people in need of help. It appears that a full schedule and maximizing income is more important than the well-being of the patients. I have been going there for about 3 months, and missing appointments is nearly inevitable over time. There is no forgiveness, even though the second time I missed, they had another hole to fill so I jumped in at the last minute to fill this opening. Sadly, this help to fill their void was not recognized. read more

Very frustrated when you get the bill. OMG! My bill is what? I have been using OMG for several years for my primary care. Had ear wax build up. Was sent to walk in clinic. He couldn't do it. $240 for that. Had my annual, oh no, you have to get this ear cleaned. See one of our specialists. It will be quick and easy. First, they made me get a hearing test that I didn't need. Then, they tell me my doctor isn't there now, so I have to come back. That visit was $147. I go back the next morning, doctor cleans my ear and charges me another $140.Then, I get the final bill and get charged $304 for new patient office visit. WT? I'm in the database, have been for years. What do they need to do that requires them to charge me $304? Same address, same phone, same body. It can't take more than 10 minutes to update my record with no new information. You can call and complain all you want. Does no good. It will take half a month of my wages to pay for a simple ear cleaning. Makes me disgusted. Why on earth should anyone want to use their network of doctors? Wait, I get it,so you can be billed $304 each time you have the privilege. Ha! Must be paying for the new building they are planning, or perhaps some doctor's vacation pay. $591.00 to take 15 minutes to clean ear wax. Disgusting! read more

they wont stop calling me at work with a recorded message telling me I need a flu shot, which they clearly know i have already gotten 3 calls in 24 hours, i have called and told them 5 times now i dont need a shot, PLEASE PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU STOP CALLING ME AT WORK,, right after that they retaliate against me by calling with in minutes of me pleading with them to stop calling me, minutes later, in december my wife had a medical issue so some test were run, a month later we got the results, a month, with lots of explanations about why it took so long to get told we didnt find anything so we dont know why you still have this problem with 3 visits 3 copays 6 weeks with no results, do you want to trust them with your life or the lives of loved ones, heck you could be dead before they get results, switching docors this coming week, maybe then they will stop calling me, but I doubt it. read more
