The saddest thing has happened... this place went to crap! We used to come here weekly and now won't be back... Bad service EVERY TIME I have come over at last 5 years. We wait an hour to sit- wait an hour for food(salad)- and then continue to wait for our receipt with plates piled in front of us. Rating again... 18.00 for a gluten free 10 inch 2 topping pizza .... ridiculous. Can get a huge pizza that feeds a 6 person family for less as I watching the people next to us share a huge pizza ! Again... getting overcharged because of having a dietary restriction is not ok. Waitress was not great ... forgetful , asked 3 times for some items... empty plates and just left them . The food was good and the waiter was good but we were seated next to the kitchen where there were two employees goofing around with the girl laughing so obnoxiously loud we could hardly hear each other talk at times. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, she was also very attentive the entire time we were there. Ordered a lasagna to-go and while the flavor was definitely there, the size and pasta definitely was not (tasted like more meat and marinara than pasta/cheese). In fact I was still hungry after finishing--something that never happens when I eat lasagna! Their saving grace is the thin crust pizza which is amazing and the chicken Caesar salad. Every time I visit Arizona I have to stop here! Everything on the menu is good but I always stick to the great golden medium wings and Bellini. If we move back this will be our go to place every week. This was my first time at an Oregano's. My wife had been bragging it up for a while and we finally went. We were a group of six and the restaurant was busy so there was a wait but nothing unreasonable. We were able to get drinks from the bar as we waited. Our server was really nice and attentive for the most part. We had wanted to get a deep dish pizza but were told it would be about an hour wait. Our server told us that we could have preordered the pizza while we waited for our table but we weren't aware we could do that ahead of time. We decided to get thin/pan crust. The pizza was awesome! So far it is my favorite pizza in the Phoenix area. I will go back for a deep dish pizza when we have more time to wait. read more

Recently while dining her, wife ordered her usual, a Pablo Picasso salad, no chicken, substitute Pinto beans. Her salad came out and being 8.5 months pregnant, she dove in. She discovered tiny pieces of shredded chicken throughout the salad after having eaten several bites already. Now this wasn't a communication error. There wasn't mounds of chicken on top like they usually do for a chicken salad. This was tiny pieces spread within the salad. It was obvious someone had made the vegetarian salad in a dirty bowl where chicken previously had been. The manger comped the salad and made s new one but the new one was thrown out as my wife was sick that night with diarrhea and vomiting. She was admitted to the hospital the following day for dehydration. Oregano's liability insurance determined that we didn't "advise the server you were vegetarian and meat would make you sick." I'm sorry. Saying, no chicken and then being given chicken seems pretty clear.... No one from management or corporate has offered apologies or a phone call even. We received the ruling via a letter in the mail..... We won't be back. I will miss the Buffalo wings. I'm not vegetarian. Their wings are good. I should know, I grew up in Buffalo, NY. Good Wings. Just returned after having a late lunch at Oregano's. I ordered Italian wedding soup and garlic bread. It was fantastic! A lot a little meatballs and of course the one large meatball. They put a huge amount of parmesan cheese in it, which I love. And the bread was warm and crispy! Of course, I topped it off with a Coors light. Very nice experience. read more

This place now ridiculous! I called and spoke with the hostess at 6:20 pm. They said we have no wait. I asked if I should get on a list and the person on the phone said no need to there's no wait. I explained I was 10 minutes away , she reassured me no worries just come in. I arrive at 6:31 pm and they say sorry we have a 30 minute wait!! WHAT!! how do you go from no wait to 30 min in less than 9 minutes. A herd of people came in to this place in 9 min??? This is poor customer service. Usually love Oreganos, but dang if tonight didn't disappoint!!! We ordered for takeout (recognizing it's a Friday night, so expected it to take awhile). Ordered the Oregano's Classic salad w chicken, an order of golden wings extra crispy, and Brussels sprouts. Let me just say, the Brussels sprouts are the only redeeming part of this meal...the wings are not only not extra crispy, they are literally cold and soggy. Blech. The salad is also not good, the lettuce is wilted and black on the edges...it's basically inedible. The Brussels are great, however! I think the issue w the wings is that, when we arrived to pick it up, they were already done but were "waiting on the salad"...which took 20 more minutes! Not sure why the salad was prepared after the wings, but having them sit in a plastic takeout container while a salad was prepared, didn't probably do them any justice. I hate giving bad reviews, I really do...especially to places I normally love...but this was disappointing tonight...so much so that I've ordered a salad and wings from another restaurant. My family and I came to this location earlier today and I am very upset for several reasons! First my husband and I ordered the garlic shrimp to start. When they showed up they smelled great but then when we took our first bite, very undercooked! I start looking at the shrimp and they weren't deveined as well. We tell our waitress they are undercooked and she apologized. We're thinking maybe a manager would come out to apologize but nothing. This is my families go to for pizza, wings and Pizookie. Food is good, service is good (sometimes very slow) but overall good experience. Until this week, I noticed that my bank charge was $8.00 more than my bill was. This has happened TWICE this month. Seems that the waiter we have has been adding an extra tip! I have left two messages for a manager to return my call. Still waiting. We leave cash tips always! So they are adding a nice bonus tip. Ok ill do the bad first I only gave four stars because we waited a really long time for our table the guy who was seating people seemed confused and he might needed some more training he definitely needed some help. The other wait staff didn't bother to help him except for one lady who finally went and got a Maniger to help him. Other than this the rest of our visit was great they even gained a star back cuz they almost only got 3 stars food was great I got the chicken parm sandwich was very delicious. Restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Everyone was very friendly. Our waiter was awesome! He was sooo flamboyantly fun and colorful! I got the chicken alfredo and it was so creamy and sexy. The chicken is kind of weird though as it's shredded and chewy. It's almost like dog food. Let me tell you about the cocktails though!!! They are sooooo good! I had the ginger beer one and it was soooo bomb! You have to get that! Then I had the root beer cocktail thing and it was sooo good! Nice and strong and the flavor was amazing ! Oh the bruschetta is forgettable so don't even order that. Plus they forgot to give it to us and we had to remind them after our meal arrived They said their pizzas take an hour to cook so I passed on that. I recommend coming here for the cocktails. I actually haven't been to oreganos very many times in my life, but I've never been disappointed! This location is nice, not too incredibly busy when we went! The service was great, everything came out quick. We all got different things and shared so I got to try the guacatony, Brussel sprouts, and a pizza I can't remember the name of but it had mushrooms, spinach, and garlic. The guacatony was good but I wasn't like as crazy about it like I know some other people are. But it was tasty! The Brussel sprouts were not bad, some were a teeny bit too burned, but other ones were perfect. The pizza was my favorite! I got the 14in and nearly finished it to my surprise so I'm glad I wasn't splitting it haha. Tasted fresh, the veggies on there were yummy! Sometimes places put too much spinach on their pizza but this had the perfect amount. Was a little pricey, but not terrible. Overall I left happy! read more

We have always enjoyed the Oregano's chain and this one is not much different than the others. My last visit was during the record breaking rain from hurricane Norbert. It was decided to close the shop and have a fun Ferris Bueller's Day off. This location seems a little smaller the some of the others and can get very busy. They usually have some pretty cool jazz music playing or something that will make you want to tap your foot while you wait. Usually get one of the the Real Big Salads or a tasty and delicious Thin Crust Pizza. Could not resist ordering the Numero One-O Stuffed Pizza on my last visit. Decided to get it TO GO and it must of weighed ten or twenty pounds. Food is always pretty tasty and the service is friendly and attentive. Really like their homemade sausage and the Rib Eye Salad. Looking forward to trying out the famous Original Pizza Cookie with Ice Cream for the topper on our next visit. Located in the PV Mall parking lot in the SE corner next to the candy store. We love Oregano's and go there often..... mostly for the pan cookie dessert BUT everything we've had is great and we've also had Oregano's cater several events with great success! I love the salads, the Vino Bambino in my favorite bit I get it with Italian and ranch instead of the Caesar because it gives it more zest! The Alfredo in the dark is really yummy if you like Alfredo and you like spice! The pan pizzas are GREAT and really really cheesy! Mac and cheese is good, with a nice crunch and chipotle flavor! We recommend trying them out. And the prices are GREAT! We have a huge feast for $40 with leftovers for 2-4 meals usually! read more

Don't waste your time or money, this store cannot deliver what they advertise. I challenge the manager to call me an apologize. Since you won't refund me or take my calls. Came in for lunch, they tried to seat 3 of us at a 2 top table so, we opted for seats at the bar. RICHARD our bartender was awesome! Made great suggestions. Need to visit this place more often, food was so yummy! Julie took care of us and suggested a few items of which we ordered. We started with the Pesto Bruschetta and it was delish! The bread soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Next we shared the Oregano's Favorite salad. I would come back just to eat this salad, it was HUGE. The tomato and olives brought out a refreshing flavor to the salad and complimented the light dressing. And last we shared the Clark Street pizza. Just enough kick to it with the spicy meat and pepper flakes. EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing. Will definitely return to try other items on their menu. read more
