I think that we should take the day off of Friday because I think it's just a wast of a school day of children's waking up on a cold Friday and 3-6am just to go to school and get made fun of by a bunch of teens. Also, it's really cold outside and to honor my dog and fish because my dog's feet got frozen off and my fish bowl got frozen ( it is dead ) as well as the children standing outside in the freezing cold and waiting 5 minutes just for the bus to pick them up, Hypothermia can develop in as little as five minutes in temperatures of 20 - 30 degrees Fahrenheit if you're not dressed properly and have exposed skin. Half the teens at school where booty shorts and crop tops. also find it weird that you're letting unsupervised children onto busses. About 20% of the school have a guardian by them at the bus stop so I find that there can be some child endangerment going around. I will drop my 1 star to an 5 if you let these kids off friday.

I can tell you now that it's not the same. I dropped her off Monday morning at 8:45 to a playground with 100 kids. I didn't get to meet her camp counselor, and I was not able to enter the school due to Covid. I was okay with that, and nervous at the same time but again, I had attended there as a kid for several summers and my daughter has been in school since she was 2yo. She is friendly and delightful child so I thought I was making the right decision. By 9:30 am I was getting a call while at work. The director called me and told me that my daughter was having a rough morning, and trying to adjust. We picked her up early. The next day I called around 1pm and they said "they hadn't heard anything, so she must be fine." Thursday morning we dropped her off at 8:45, before my husband could make it to work, we were receiving a call saying that she was crying, and we need to pick her up right away and that this would HAVE to be her last day. The director told me that she didn't have the staff or the time to accommodate my child. They had 3 teachers to several 3 & 4 year olds. As a mother I was distraught. I couldn't believe that they had through my thrown my 4 yo out of summer camp. I wrote this to say that I am very disappointed in what this school has become. Also, I feel as if they didn't have the staff, why would they take on more than they could handle? So if your child needs special accommodations, or more attention than the average child. This is not the school because they clearly don't have the time. If I could have given zero stars I would have. I sent my daughter here with the intentions of her attending the school for kindergarten, but that won't happen. They made my child feel little, and they made me feel horrible as a parent.

That's a great opportunity for an archeology class, to experience hands on digging and discovery. Be sure to check out the remains in the science building. The architecture is mind blowing. The buildings designed by Bernard R. Maybeck are breath taking. His creative style of designing buildings, should be studied by today's architects. Maybeck designed for Principia between 1924 and 1940 and you'd never think his buildings were build during that time in history. I liked how they don't call the student housing, dorms. They call them, houses and I can tell you that they look more like a house than a dormitory. The "living room" on the main level was spectacular. Even the furniture was overstuffed and out of an Architectural Digest. I was impressed with the size of rooms the students had. They were bigger than someone's bedrooms. The historical Chapel is a beauty to behold, so be sure to check it out. It's close to a bluff, so the view is spectacular in the fall, but also good for the other seasons, as well. A notable graduate and a favorite actor of mine, the Oscar winning, Robert Duvall graduated in 1953 with a degree in drama. Next time you're heading up to Grafton for fun, stop by Elsah and check out the only Christian Science College in the world.

This is my second time out to this college for my son's annual track meet. I must say this location…read moredefinitely has it's pros and cons. Pros first: thank you for opening up your facility for athletes of all ages to show they talent and compete in an competition full of kids considering they could be doing activities that would lead them down the wrong path. It's a beautiful thing to see all our children compete and enjoy it and leave with recognition and sense of worth. This facility is very nice, clean and fit all families comfortably. Cons : the service of cellphones is nonexistent. It's like once you get inside the facilities your connection to the outside world is gone. That is terrible that no Wi-Fi was available for an all day event . No heat was available as well. We had to sit with coats on for 8 hrs and with that coldness comes headaches and sniffles. My son is a senior so I don't have to deal with this any longer but for future events please think of these small cons and try to address them asap.
