Hi Adrian, Thanks for your very cold note and your lack of…read morebeing workable to reduce your late fees under these criminal events around The Hub at Columbia.  I am also highly offended by your inferences. I will make sure my review of The Hub reflects this poor experience with The Hub at Columbia.management and the fact that people can't trust the place and may get robbed there as we were. I've never had an account at Vero bank.  All other months will show that my payments were made from a Bank of America account. As I said we passed the username and password over to the criminal as they said all the right things that made them seem like they dealt with the hub office. My ex husband and I think the theft was an inside job at The Hub. We will tell the police accordingly and my daughter and I have a track record of many text exchanges with the criminal to prove our intent of good wishes to get the hub paid on time according to the lease and also proves our trust in a subleaser who seemed to have a very strange inside knowledge of how the hub operates to the point we have a record of transferring over May and April Hub rent over to the criminal. I understand The Hub Columbia went through an ownership change at the same time that this criminal activity took place and we find it such a very strange coincidence. Your unwillingness to work with us on a reduction of late fees under these criminal circumstances is very poor judgement and I will say so on online reviews. We will never rent from any facility that is run by the people that own the hub again - Core Spaces & Amplify Development Co. Marisa

Not to mention I pay for the gate doors to be closed in the basement yet they have been open all year! I have never felt safe there even living on a high up floor I have ran into multiple homeless people screaming at me in the hub elevators and in our trash room! Now halfway through the year the hub is now trying to fix the broken gate issue when they had all summer to do it. To "fix it" means they shut it down so are cars are locked in the basement ALL DAY and can not get out when we have jobs, school, etc.

This place blows, it's campus housing without any benefits. You still have RAs doing room checks,…read morebut nothing else I've called the RA on duty number and no one picked up twice. Everything is falling apart the floors are stained my blinds fall when I touch them. Also all of the facilities are minimal. Like the gym doesn't even have a squat rack, the coffee machine is always out, and the computers are outdated. Also if you want to drive to class you should just kill yourself parking at the place you already live is 1000 dollars and the garage isn't even full it's at like 50% capacity. Also the thermostats are really sensitive so if you open your oven or boil something it will go off and all your roomates will attach each of your limb to the bumper of their cars and drive off in opposite directions. Also my couch has no springs if you sit in it you sink straight to the bottom of hell. The trash rooms are unavailable for probably the first two months of school and when they are they are usually backed up. The maintenance team takes forever to respond to anything I had water leaking from my roof and took them about two weeks for them to fully fix it. If you live with your bedroom next to the pool you will have people blasting music for the first two months of school and partying so sorry if you needed to sleep for an exam but Tyler, Darius, and Kevin Nguyen are throwing an epic rager right now. Also this isn't there fault but the people above me just like power slam each other into the floor and it sounds like Pearl Harbor is happening above me. Also the common space lights must be candles because they are so dim and you can't see anything without turning all of them on. In short Park Place is epic it's so epic you can't have any of the epicness I get to keep it all which is why you shouldn't live here.

My cheap chair broke at the second day I moved in, they say they gonna replace it and they never do that. Bathroom soap holder fall down for no reason and the bathtub got clogged since day two, put it on the maintenance request, never fixed it. The most disgusting thing, the AC LEAKING WATER from time to time. Every time it leak, the hallway will be cover with water. They come over and fix it for two time, they just suck the water out and go away, didn't replace any thing, just let it happen every week. And this week, after I talk to the MANAGER, they DIDN T COME OVER AT ALL! I cannot live in a 80 degree apartment with flooding in the hallway! Bug problems, we got big o cockroach and long black crawlers a lot! I guess they probably come from the all the crack on the wall which they didn't fix at all. When we talk to the manager, she say there s only 2 maintenance on site and there over 400 maintenance request. I WONDER WHY THERE IS over 400 requests??? And why don't you hire more people since you know your apartments are nasty and old??? Just avoid the questions and bully the college students cuz we got no where else to live? This is not how you do the service. DISAPPOINTED, PLS DON T COME TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!

The maintenance service is terrible, the only courteous maintenance worker that was there was Mr. Sheldon, but he was fired. I was charged again for bills I already paid months ago, and when asked they quoted, "we miscalculated 6 months of utility bills" if that's doesn't scream "we need money" then I don't know what does This place lied to us about our lease and we did not get our last month rent free here. There are roaches, bedbugs, and fruit flies in every bathroom. I do not recommend this place to anyone at all. Don't live here.

My roommate also moved out on the 23rd and she isn't being charged but I am. There was an offer to move out in May in order to allow them to renovate. The staff members came to my door with this offer. I asked them for a day or two. They said that was fine. I called back a day or two later and accepted the offer and was told I was all set. I asked more than one staff member to confirm because the staff has made mistakes in thepast and they said I was fine if I called. I am now being told that because I didn't sign I still have to pay. The total is 1000+ dollars, which includes utilities during the time that we were not even in the apartment. Another issue I ran into with The apartment is that my car was told the day of my exam. The reason for my car being told was that a staff member wrote me a parking pass while the staff was having a meeting. she was rushing and wrote down the wrong date so one of the other staff members told her the correct date and she wrote over the date with darker marker. The towing company assumes I tampered with the tag. My car was tower and I almost missed my exam. I have emailed and called to resolve the situation. Had I known they would charge me. I would have stayed in the apartment. Very poor communication when transitioning out!

I had a very disappointing experience living here. I moved in this February on a 6-month lease, and…read moreit's been a one and done situation for me. Communication has been extremely poor from the start. I was placed with roommates who were clearly unclean, with no warning or consideration. That alone made the living situation uncomfortable right away. Since then, new management has taken over (the same group that manages Valley Falls), and while stricter policies aren't necessarily a bad thing, they've added more rules and fines without making any meaningful improvements to the property itself. It feels like they're trying to present this as a higher-end complex without actually investing in upgrades. Parking is another ongoing issue. There are many reserved spots for residents willing to pay an additional $30/month, but most people don't opt in understandably, since this is primarily student housing. As a result, parking is often inconvenient and frustrating. Another concern is the restriction on guests. This is off-campus housing, yet during events like Upstate homecoming, a no guest policy is enforced. That feels unreasonable for a student-focused property. Overall, the biggest issue isn't just the rules it's the mismatch between expectations and reality. If management is going to enforce stricter standards like their other properties, they should also bring this complex up to that same standard. I won't be renewing my lease, and based on my experience and many others, I wouldn't recommend living here.

They were…read moretaken in July 2019, 7 months after I made my first written request to property management to check for mold. This is ACTIVELY GROWING MOLD IN THE 23 YEAR OLD HVAC, made possible by their improper repair of the water heater. After management refused to do the air quality testing, I had the MVOC done myself. And, even after the letter from my physician stating that the mold was making me sick, and after the mold was found, they still refused to let me out of my lease (which ended in 3 weeks anyway). I left anyway. Then they had the nerve to send me a bill for almost $1000 for damage my cat supposedly did to the three year old, one step above putt putt golf carpet that I'm positive they would have to have replaced anyway. I see they are offering move in specials, but even if they agreed to let you live there for free, I would run as far and as fast as I could. You can also find other reviews online from other former tenants who complained about water damage that was not properly dealt with, so do I see a pattern of neglect here? Stay tuned. More to come .........

Hello. Previous resident writing this. PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not consider living here…read more My wife and I lived here for close to 3 years and had a horrible experience. My advice is for you to do your research beforehand. They promise "exceptional, resort style" amenities which is a lie. Their website lists their pool, tennis courts, outdoor grills, fitness center, and dog park as such. I'm going to take them one at a time to explain why it is false advertising. 1. Pool- their pool is not monitored which lead to multiple long periods of time where it would be closed as people broke glass in the pool or had other accidents that shut it down. Also a few of the gates entrances were damaged and instead of fixing them they locked them making it more difficult to access. 2. The tennis court is absolutely unusable. There are massive cracks and damage on the court causing it to be a hazard to play tennis on. Alongside of that, other residents were letting their dogs poop on the courts and it was not cleaned for months until I told management. 3. Grills were dirty and mostly unused. 4. The fitness center is small, missing weights, and multiple of the machines were out of order. One of the treadmills was out of order for a year and never repaired. They just threw a sign up for a year saying "out of order" 5. The dog parks are maybe the least managed "amenity" they have. It is realistically a patch of dirt that is gated and covered in dog crap. (Similar to the tennis courts) Sadly, all of this stuff is not as bad as the poor management that never cared to maintain the actual apartment units. We had a light go out over our kitchen and it took 2 weeks for them to fix that maintenance request. We also had a wasp infestation on the roof of our building and they never got exterminators to deal with the issue so we had to avoid wasps constantly. Along with that, around half of the outlets in the apartment did not work and the air filters were not changed regularly. I am not the type of person that normally writes negative reviews. I don't care to hurt businesses or spread negativity. This is the exception as I really hope no one else has to be blindsided by the expensive cost of living here for the terrible service. It is not worth it, which is sad because the location is good and the apartment layouts are nice as well. Ultimately, if you read nothing else, this is the take away. Management does not care about its residents and it is proven by how little they care to take care of their own property.
