With her options already limited, she came to discover that her phone wouldn't connect to a network. period. which was not what she had been told. Not wanting to be without a working phone (if only even for an emergency) we came here to explore her options. I'm not sure if they spoke English, as I only heard Spanish so I just went with the flow. So if you don't speak Spanish, just hope that someone there speaks English, and--being that you're in Madrid--someone there most likely does. Thankfully, the guy I spoke to was polite and helpful, but made it pretty clear from the beginning that there wasn't a good solution to the problem. Long story short, you're options are limited as far as getting a phone in spain to use for international calls, texts, and internet. It's ridiculously expensive, so I wouldn't suggest it unless you have unlimited funds. Thanks anyway to the young man who helped us out.

Its Spain and customer service here isn't typically 5 stars so I expected it. However, once I spoke with someone, they were very friendly; the clerk did his best with my Spanish and pleasantly smiled as I walked away. I was tasked with bringing back the specific electronic that needed the transformer. So I returned with my flat iron and different gentleman located the transformer for me. It was priced fair at 11 euros. Unfortunately, once I got home, it didn't work. My flatiron would barely heat up and the transformer burned. I felt a little anxious about bringing the product back, not sure if they would refund me or try and give me store credit. However, they remembered me the 3rd time around and gave me a refund with no problem. I would definitely return in the future. They were the only store of 5 that had a transformer. The staff was also very patient with my not so fluent Spanish.
