Dr. Hill's chiropractic services, was where my questions were answered. I was dealing with chronic inflammation from scar tissue buildup...who knew I had scar tissue issues...not I. My first session I had little hope, as not one single doctor has been able to help me in the past. Dr. Hill made it his mission to *truly* help me. In ONE visit I felt RELIEF! He told me he was working out knots that I had in my back for over 15 years (before my surgery). Who would have known that's why my back felt like "one big muscle". I highly recommend giving Dr. Hill a visit! He's upfront AND honest with you about whether he thinks he can help you or not. He also gives me a lot of insight on how your body is suppose to work...you learn a lot about how your body works & how it's suppose to move & breathe! He's always trying to teach you more knowledge to help YOU and your BODY! I also never had more than 1 "good day" in a row, with no pain, before seeing Dr. Hill. If you need preventative conditioning or coaching, so you don't get injured in the first place, I believe (but please verify with them) Tom can help keep you from having to go under the knife. In my case, the bad news is that I needed surgery on my knee to repair the ligaments I had torn. The good news both my surgeon and Tom are at the top of their game. Physical therapy can feel dull and repetitive. Not to mention, you want to feel targeted results. And common injuries come with complex recoveries because there are many facets of the body (posture, precious injuries, athleticism) that are unique to each person. Working with the surgeon's recovery plan, I Tom had the experience to adjust the pace and exercises to really make my recovery complete and focus on bringing me back to playing soccer with stable and strong knees! Tom is very personable and relaxed making the experience more enjoyable. It almost feels that this is personal for Tom as well, making the challenge one that you are completing together. I have debated writing this review for some time now but here goes…read more Thera Plus is a well equipped studio. I think they are trained and knowledgable. However I think they concentrate more on manipulation of an injury and working out their clients than fixing the problems though explanations and exercises. I have had two injuries and both times was not explained what was wrong or why the injuries had occurred. I was just put on the table and my muscles were massaged and pressed on etc. No real discussion of any sort. Very frustrating. I was basically ignored. At the end of two of my sessions I specifically asked what I could do at home to help the injury and prevent it and was told "don't do anything". Literally I walked in was put on a table and at the end was asked "when can I see you again" No discussions, no explanations, nothing. This did not sit well with me so I found another physical therapist. I had a complete explanation of my injury with a skeletal example of why it happened and exercises to fix and prevent the problem. The therapist spent over an hour with me. I am happy to say after a few weeks my injury immediately began to heal. I was sent home with exercises printed out for me. I also have a set of exercises that will help to strengthen my muscles to keep from injuring myself again. So glad I looked elsewhere.

However, I was injured at work and healing independently was no longer an option. Every worker in this location is absolutely amazing and became family. I spent 3x a week with them for approximately 8 months before I was comfortable enough to leave personally. But that's to no fault of the location, I just wanted to be safer than sorry later so I stuck to it for longer. PT kicked my butt DAILY. And right when things were starting to feel easy, Jodi changed the workouts and made me feel like I was back at square one. She was also able to read her clients well. I've seen her be the sweetest person to an old lady who needed motivation to keep doing. But me? I was challenged. I got the attitude and the push she knew would work for someone like me. Things that seemed so small like standard squats were the only reason I was able to use a bathroom on my own again because you never realize how low toilets actually sit until your knee doesn't work. I could go on and on about how beneficial it was for me to be hear and I was not originally happy to be there. I didn't want PT, didn't think I needed PT and felt a pride hit being there. But now I know the benefits of going and hopefully I'll never have to go back but if I do, I'd never look for a different location or therapist.

I ignored it for a while which was dumb & because of that it was really starting to affect my daily life. I had a lot of discomfort while sleeping, was limited on lifting things over my head & reaching certain ways. I also could tell my shoulder was getting weaker. My therapist at Cora Creve Coeur was Joey and we meshed so well from the start! During my first interaction with him, I could tell his expertise, professionalism and dedication were going to be second to none. You could also tell that he was incredibly caring and he listened to what I had to say about my symptoms. I felt heard with Joey and knew he was going to improve my range of motion and decrease the pain I was having. Through a very detailed & comprehensive assessment of my shoulder, he was quickly able to pinpoint what was going on & came up with a game plan of strengthening/range of motion exercises, stretches, massages, & muscle scraping techniques. PT is of course, not the most exciting thing to go through but Joey made things fun, effective and truly made a difference in my shoulder recovery. I left Cora with no pain, range of motion that was back to normal and gained so much strength back in my shoulder. It's been quite a few months since I've finished up there and my should still feels totally normal and healthy. Also wanted to say that Allison at the front desk is the sweetest person, works so hard, is professional and does everything in her power to help get patients set up with whatever they need.
