Night 2 in Nashville and we booked Pelato after seeing a bunch of glowing reviews... and yeah, they…read moreearned them. From the street it looks like a quaint spot, but once you walk in you realize it's way bigger than it looks and the staff is on it right away. Friendly, quick to get you seated, and you can tell they run a tight ship. Everything is tapas-style with shareable portions, which is dangerous if you're with someone who says "let's just get a couple things" (because you won't). Also if you come at peak dinner time, expect a bit of a wait for the main pasta, just relax and lean into it, because it's absolutely worth it. We started with the garlic bread and I'm not being dramatic when I say we had to actively stop ourselves from finishing the whole plate immediately. Buttery, perfectly toasted, and loaded with flavor. Get the dipping sauce, and do yourself a favor... save a piece or two for later because it becomes elite when paired with pasta. Next up was the Pelato salad, a big portion (enough for 3-4ppl) and completely worth it. Super fresh, packed with ingredients, dressed with the perfect amount of oregano vinaigrette, and ridiculously easy to keep eating even when you're "just having a few bites." Then came the crispy garlic potatoes with garlic aioli... and wow. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, shaved parmesan on top this could honestly pass as a main dish if you didn't know better. The meatballs were next to make it to the table. They came out warm (not piping hot) the flavor, texture, and sauce made up for it. Still a really solid order and worth every bite. Last to hit the table was the radiatori vodka, and that's the moment everything made sense. Creamy, packed with flavor, and the homemade radiatori noodles held onto the sauce perfectly. My final bites were a little pasta + a little meatball + a little garlic bread and it was basically a mic drop. We ate so much we didn't even have room for dessert, which is my only regret... but that just means we have a reason to go back. If you're in Nashville and want a meal that feels like a full-on experience, Pelato needs to be on your list.

Both were delicious, the Gnocchi was light, exactly how it should be and the Gorgonzola-Pecorino creme sauce was was smooth and perfectly made. We couldn't resist a good finish, so we split a Tiramisu - Mascarpone cream & Coffee lady finger cookies topped with cocoa powder. I had an espresso & my wife opted for a cappuccino (even though it was after 11am... shh, don't tell anyone). The server was attentive & helpful and we enjoyed the food. We were actually between the normal lunch & dinner shift, so the restaurant was not too busy. We opted to sit outside which was a little noisy from the road traffic at that hour, I did take a look inside and at the kitchen area. On our next trip here, we will be sitting inside and try some of their wine, and other offerings. Both the Gnocchi and the Pizza were very good, and we look forward to our next visit.

The staff here are super friendly, and gave us great recommendations once we were seated. The restaurant is semi-full service. You are sat at a table, but you have the menu online and can only order online. At that point I'd rather just take it to-go. My friend's phone was dead, so we also had to pass my phone back and forth to order. There are a couple of servers taking care of all of the tables once the orders are ready, so it feels like the restaurant is trying to get away with paying less people. I ordered the nonna paula, added pancetta to it, and made it spicy. The sauce was absolutely incredible. It was smooth, nutty, and creamy, and the house-made pasta was cooked perfectly. I wish their version of making it spicy didn't also make it more oily; it also didn't really add any kick to it. I'd definitely order to-go, but I'm not sure if I'd dine-in here again.

It's located downtown, but feels like a hidden gem all on its own. When you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful dining space with photos lining the walls, and the outdoor seating is just as beautiful. We sat outside with the heaters on, and it felt cozy and intimate. We started the night with the Meatballs and the Whipped Ricotta with chili honey...I'm still thinking about them. Both were incredible. We also ordered Espresso Martinis, which were good, although definitely on the stronger, coffee-forward side. If you like spinach, you MUST try the Rotolo Alla Vodka. I've never had anything like it-- the sauce was unreal. We also shared the Ophelia's Lasagna, which was almost just as good... almost. For dessert, we split the Tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was a solid 10/10. Every plate was gone before I even thought to take out my phone for pictures. Our server, Gavin, really elevated the experience. He was extremely welcoming and gave the best recommendations! It was packed on a Saturday night, so definitely make a reservation. We saw a mix of large groups and couples. I parked in a $20 garage down the street, but Ubering would also be a great option. Overall just a great spot! I'll be back soon.

Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, and a few really stood out. I've been on the hunt for more black sesame treats, and the raspberry sherbet with cremolata and salted black sesame seed butter was exactly what I was looking for--the most perfect, not-too-sweet dessert. Creative, balanced, and completely unforgettable. I'd go back just for that. The stracciatella on toast was another standout--simple but incredibly well executed. My second favorite dish was the lightly roasted snap pea with fennel, spring onion, and chili--fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. So good. The linguini and clams was decent, but didn't quite hit the same level as the other dishes. It leaned a bit too al dente for my taste, and the flavor felt a little on the bland side. Overall, an incredible dining experience with standout dishes and impeccable service. Try this when you're in Germantown.

Sourdough bread 7/10; average crusty bread, didn't taste much "seaweed" in the seaweed butter On the expensive side, but in my opinion worth it for a special occasion with great service and great bites.

And St. Vito Focacceria more than fit the bill! We loved Chef Michael Hanna's version of Sicilian style pizza, "sfincione". Think sourdough focaccia with fontina, topped with pecorino and breadcrumbs. We chose a fantastic Pepperoni version with Ezzo Pepperoni Cups and Saffron Honey. Our small plates were all excellent too. We started off with a Focaccia with Oregano, Garlic, Pollen and a side of Ricotta with Pistachio & Parsley. Next up, we loved the Artichokes with Lemon, Olive Oil, and Mint. And don't miss the fabulous Tiramisu for dessert. We sat at the counter of the stylish, long and narrow spot, and enjoyed watching all the open-kitchen proceedings, and chatting with the warm staff and Chef Hanna himself as well. By the time we were finished our dinner, it was clear why St. Vito earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for 2025. Definitely add it to your Nashville Dining "Must Do" List!
