Kim provided exceptional customer service to assist getting a repair appointment scheduled for my Samsung dryer. She ensured that we had an accurate description of the dryer faults and model numbers so that Paul could arrive with the needed parts and be able to repair the dryer the day of appointment. I cant stress enough how much of a relief this was to have it all taken care of in one appointment! Paul is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I talked with him throughout the repair, as he didn't seem to mind. He was able to provide a wealth of knowledge and insider tips to keep my appliances running long into the future. The dryer needed a new heating element, but he checked some other parts that are known to be faulty and got those repaired for me as well. Paul uses quality parts that are actually cheaper than the big name brand parts. An added bonus is that the parts that Paul uses have a much better warranty. Paul's prices are modest compared to competitors, he's faster (repair took less than an hour), and he backs up his work. I truly cant say enough how impressed I was by Kim and Paul and will be sure to give them a call if the situation arises again. Fingers crossed it doesn't though!

We went To Gmack Appliance after first going to Best Buy where we waited 20 minutes for someone to help us and then left when noone came. At Gmack Appliance we were immediately greeted by Jonathan when we waliked through the door and he was very helpful. We worked with him and Karina to purchase the washer and dryer and schedule the installation. We live in Door County and were very pleased that they were able to do the delivery and installation within 3 working days. We buy local as much as we can and help the family owned businesses and try to avoid the big box stores whenever possible. Unlike most family owned businesses in the area, they are not interested in helping serve the Green Bay community - in fact, I really don't know what they do. I walked in after numerous attempt to be there before 5:00 only to find the doors locked. When I walked in, I saw the exact refrigerator we were interested in - I was a for sure sale. The older gentleman was rude, uninterested, leaned against the back counter and answered by questions with one word answers. I left disappointed and embarrassed for them!

We put them into operation around June, 2022. Around the first week in December 2022. The refrigerator failed. We called Van Vreede's on December 12, 2022 and they said I would have to get an appointment from HOWIE VOIGHT'S APPLIANCE SERVICE located at 2610 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton, Wi. I spoke to LEXIE at Howie's Voight's and she said the soonest I could get the refrigerator repaired if I lived in Shawano would be JANUARY 10TH. 2023. NO EXCEPTIONS other than going on a cancellation list. So far no cancellations. Coolers are in the garage and by the second week we lost some of our food. Can you imagine waiting a month over Christmas Holiday without refrigeration for your food. Not an ideal situation. HOWEVER, THIS WAS NOT VAN VREEDE'S FAULT. John Ganyo suggested sending a audio of the noise it made. I did as he suggested. The refrigerator is so loud it resembles turkeys all screaming at the same time in a barn. We have a very small home so the gobbling turkey sound echo's through the house. John guessed what part or parts it needs and ordered them. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY FOR ATTEMPTING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. The parts came in finally last week but that did not change the date of January 10th, 2023. I fear that letting this refrigerator labor the way it is will do other damage. Horrible situation and so far no one will help. The repair service admits that our home is located out of their ideal area that they normally service. They have little control in spite of the fact Van Verdees hired HOWIE VOIGHT'S APPLIANCE SERVICE. Make sure if you buy your appliance at Van Vreede's that you do not live too far away from the Green Bay and Appleton area. If your appliance needs repair and you live out of that area, you will for sure wait and wait and wait for a repair. Our sales rep Josh was wonderful and their customer service representative, John was amazing but that did not help for getting our appliance repaired.

During my…read morefinal week of employment, I was informed that I would not receive compensation for any outstanding spiffs--manufacturer-paid incentives tied to product sales--on orders that had not yet been completed. Without these spiffs, my effective earnings during my final month were reduced to approximately $11 per hour, despite generating significant revenue for the company. I also left behind numerous open orders that required substantial time and effort, for which I will receive no compensation. While I have nothing but positive things to say about my colleagues and the local management team in Green Bay, my experience with upper leadership was deeply disappointing. There is a strong emphasis on a "family" culture and supporting employees, yet this policy results in employees effectively working without full compensation at the end of their tenure. I understand that the policy regarding unpaid spiffs is outlined in the employee handbook. However, the existence of a policy does not necessarily make it fair nor reasonable. In my view, such a significant compensation detail should be clearly and explicitly communicated to employees at the time of hire. Had I been aware of this policy earlier, I would have made different decisions regarding my employment timeline. "Van Vreede's - Why Shop Anywhere Else?" For those who value how a company treats its employees, this is an important question to consider.
