I would have given Open Road no stars if possible. To start with so no mistake is made the sales staff at Smokey point was really nice. They gave me a good price on my new Aspentrail trailer and I thought I was in a dream. I soon realized I was in a nightmare, I was promised my new coach I two weeks and I signed on the line. I was then advised that I would have to go to the Monroe location to finish my paperwork. Not really having the time I went to Monroe and met with their finance manager. I again was told that two weeks was all they needed to ready my trailer. The service joke called me at the two week mark to tell me that my coach was not ready and they didn't know when it would be. I was disappointed as I had a trip planned. So I waited patiently only to receive a call it the 3-week mark be told that it wasn't ready again. Now upset I didn't know what to do so I called the management and complained to no avail. At the one-month mark I was called once more by their service department telling me that they had made no progress and that my coach wasn't ready. I then leaned on the manager with no real progress and scheduled a walkthrough for the following week, week 5. The walkthrough went off without a hitch young man doing the walk through did fine job. I've then scheduled my first payment for my trailer still with no trailer in possession. At almost week six we were given permission to come and pick the trailer up. I found a couple blemishes on the outside of it but I was afraid to tell anybody about it because I would be without my trailer for the rest of the summer. I I'll live with the blemishes I assure you I will never buy another RV from Open Road. Those clown shoe wearing jackasses that run that place need a real wake-up call read more

Thought I was going to end up loving all the help I received in buying my new 2021 Rockwood 2912BS. Well guess again! Nothing but issues with this trailer and yes I am out of state but still can not get anywhere with getting help. Can not get the owner or GM to even call me in ways of fixing my issues. Sad that you can not even take a shower in your home because it leaks and service tells you you will have to wait till you can get it in and get it fixed LOL At least have the curiosity of calling your customers back and find a way to help with the issue. We bought our Forest River Trailer at Open Road RV at a special at the Evergreen Fairgrounds about 3 months ago. Promised to get in 2 weeks after we bought as we put some extras on the trailer. We finally got it and found several major things wrong. The slide was sitting crooked and messed up floor, above bedroom door was coming apart, shower had some issues and corner by bedroom door was falling apart. We finally got back about 6 weeks and loaded up to take on maiden voyage to Mt Vernon. Well now the use of the shower created a large water leak on the floor and went out to living room. The bench table seat fell apart. The fireplace won't work, blinds in living room do not go up and down smoothly (gets hung up). So our first outing has not gone so well. Plan to contact service Monday morning. Spouse is not happy. read more

I would never buy anything from these guys. I paid too much for a motorhome that they left out in the cold and let the waterlines freeze. They called me at the last minute to cancel an appointment they made with me a week and a half in advance. So, I had to eat a day of vacation. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!! They sold me an Alpenlite at a reasonable price and then when I went to pick it up, they had pulled it into their shop on a rainy day to mask a leaky roof....now, they attempted to fix the leaky roof without disclosing it...the leak is the seal around a skylight and I and everyone with an RV would understand this is troublesome. But they never once disclosed it. They acted like my best friend and even did a different un-related repair at no cost, which I appreciated, but the act of not disclosing the leak, which had been ongoing for some time, was pure deviance. I bought this trailer for my son and it will require significant repairs before being livable, since the upper leaking skylight has allowed some mold... The workmanship on the attempted repair, is so amateurish as to be silly...a 4th grader could do a better job. Basically my take on it is they ignored the trailer till a day or two before I was to pick it up, then went "Oh crap!...we have a leak!!" So rather than just disclose the issue and take another few days and fix it properly, they scabbed up a hack job, which was done SO poorly that it's hard to explain. I am spending the nice day, scraping the truly remarkably lousy job they did of applying silicone caulk, followed by what appears to be white poly-sulfide, over the top, which they then let get rained on before it cured. Truly lousy and despite their nice appearance...the ethics of a place like this speak volumes...ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR MONEY. I would never do business with them again. read more

Was called to come pick up my trailer but when I arrived the trailer could not be found. Eventually they discovered that it was mistakenly sent to a different location, which I had to go find. When I got there it wasn't ready. A few months later I took it in for a water leak and was told it would be fixed in 3-4 weeks. After getting the run around for 6 months, I finally got it back and it still leaks. read more

I would just like to start with a warning. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH before even walking onto an RV lot. I say this because the salesmen are the slimiest I've ever come across. I mean just looking at some of these guys makes my skin crawl. This experience has been a nightmare from the beginning. The salesman didn't know anything about his products. Not just on this lot(to their credit). He promised many things and there was some research that needed to be completed and they were supposed to get back to me. Never did. I was sold something that was incompatible with the unit and made no sense. They made it out to be my fault. It took 2 weeks for delivery(which cost $1500 for a PDI) and the coach had many issues and required a complete cleaning. What did I pay for in the PDI? They didn't have the proper battery cases so about 2 inches of my batteries were exposed to weather. A vent cap that had a crack across the whole top. A little bit of putty was used on one corner. They ignored it. Many other issues as well. I was talked into giving the service dept. (by the service mgr)another chance to get the solar system installed with the proper parts. The tech did not clean up from the job and my coach was worse off than it was when I picked it up the first time. They promised to have it done so i had time to get ready for my trip, but cut into my time so much that I went dry camping for 5 days and was left without drinking water. They promised that they purged the system to make it drinkable. NOPE. Wasted valuable hunting time going into town to find water. I did tell the service manager that I didn't trust anyone at the whole place and least of all the service dept. We came to the understanding that I would just pick up the warranty parts and have them installed by professionals. My wife went to pick them up and was given the run around. The service manager made it obvious that he wanted nothing to do with her. Wouldn't make eye contact and moved around her. Ridiculous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND... It certainly looks like I'm not the only one who feels this way. read more

Back in September (2019) I was looking for an RV with Open Road. I was pretty interested in one and we sat down to do all the paperwork. We filled out everything including a card info to put a deposit on. They needed to wait till the next day to run everything through and once they told me the interest rate I decided not to get it, it was too high. I called first thing in the morning and told them I wasn't go to do this and they said ok. So, fast forward a month and a $3000 charge came up on my bill. They took the $3000 and used it for whatever while I got charged a fee on my credit card for the down. I called and told them and they said it would tale 24 hours for it to get back on my card. Well, here we are 24 hours later and it's not on the card. Now they are saying wait till tomorrow. It better be there tomorrow or I'll be going in and making a scene. I mentioned the interest rate I was charged on them "borrowing" the money from me and they won't add that on even though they NEVER should have taken it out in the first place and they should have take care of this on their own from day one. I shouldn't find out a month later they took $3000 out on my dime!! I will tell people about this experience and will not shop with them ever again. Look for a more reputable dealer. read more

After much research and schlepping for weeks all over from Fife to Burlington we came back to the great sales team at Monroe Open Road RV. Our sales team of Jeff and Roland and even Jim in service were very patient and helpful addressing all our questions and concerns. After we slept our first night in the coach--in our driveway--we realized we had no "shore" power. We checked the source and everything up to the trailer with no luck. We called first thing the next morning and they told us to come down right away to troubleshoot. We did and they did; it was a small assembly oversight from the factory with an easy fix. We were in and our really quickly then on our way for our second night away from home. Everything else has been perfect and we've met some great camping buddies already. Thanks guys! They deliver subpar products, and then they don't support the product. My RV has been in the shop more than I have been able to use it. There's no engagement from their team, they take no ownership for their issues, and most importantly they don't actually complete the work they say they are going to do. This is a special shout out to Ms. Sarah in the parts department. I had a problem with my Atwood rv furnace. All pointed to the circuit board. I tried in vain to find the information for the right part online so I went to see Ms. Sarah. I told her that I was leaving town for the weekend and was in a pickle without heat. She took my information and about an hour later I got a call. She tracked down the part and would have it shipped next day (the day before I was leaving). Instant relief from stress I waited for the call that the part came in. I got a call from Ms. Sarah with some bad news. The UPS delivery was deferred do to internal issues when she tracked the package. So back to stress town. But she assured me that it would come before my departure time the next day. Just before leaving out of town I got a call that the part was in. The wife went to pick up the part on her way home but I had no time to install. Finally at camp I had a moment to install the new board. I turned on thermostat, heard a couple of clicks and WA LA! Heat! So thank you Ms. Sarah for not only going above and beyond the call of duty, but the kindness you showed me in my hour of need. You will go far my friend because you are made of "the right stuff". We bought a 5th-wheel travel trailer from Open Road in December 2014. The sales process was pleasant and our salesman was knowledgeable and not pushy. We feel we received fair value for our trade-in, and the price of the new trailer was competitive. As there were a few upgrades/options we wanted them to install, it was about 3 weeks between purchase and delivery, and they did deliver on-time. During the pre-delivery walkthrough, we found about 15 items (factory discrepancies) that needed to be corrected, and they promptly made the corrections. As happy as we were with the sales process, I have to say that we are even more satisfied with the service provided after sale. We have taken it in for warranty work 5 times in the 9 months since purchasing it. (Seems about average for the first year of ownership of a travel trailer.) Each time the repairs were completed correctly the first time and their work appeared to be of high quality. Twice we found we had a need for warranty work just prior to a planned trip. Most RV dealers would have put us at the end of the line regardless of the circumstance. Open Road had us bring in the trailer immediately, and they had the repairs completed in a day or two - insuring we did not have to cancel our trip. Once, they loaned us a wheel and tire as one of our wheels failed (wheel not tire) and a replacement was to be a month out from the supplier. Again, saving a trip of ours. Has every encounter gone smoothly? Of course not. There have been a couple hiccups, but in each case the service department has corrected the glitch as quickly as possible. And the people at Open Road have been highly responsive to our needs - whether it be sales, service, or parts. I have no reservations in recommending Open Road RV Center as a good place to purchase an RV. read more

I love my new camping trailer. My family had been looking for the right one for a while. I have been to several different dealers but when I met Jeff at open road it was clear who we were going to buy from. He walked us through several unit explained all the different options and was not pushy. I initially told him that we wanted to go to the rv show in order to compare all the units out there and see what was available so they got my family and my best friend's family all tickets to the RV show. My friend ended up buying from them as well. When I picked my new trailer up we were walked through all the operation of it. Mark the one who was responsible for that made sure we knew what we were doing and how all the systems worked. When we got home I could not get the slide out to open. I called open road and mark came out to my house and quickly fix the problem. It turns out I had just blown a fuse. These guys are awesome and I would definitely recommend them. read more

We were going to wait to write this review but after reading the last review posted we just can't put it off any longer . The service department at Open Road is incompetent! The Thor warranty rep has informed us that we can take our NEW 2017 motor home where ever we want for service and that's what we will be doing in the future. We could spend all night listing every defect we have come across. Some very minor, some kinda scary (furnace seal leaked rainwater, fridge leaks) and some very scary (diesel leak, tranny leak) luckily FreightLiner was in charge of fixing these). They have had time to fix everything as they have had it 3.5 out of 5 months not to mention trips canceled and lost cancelation fees and fuel wasted running it back and forth to Open Road and to FreightLiner and a 4 foot round leak spot on our driveway. ( diesel keeps resurfacing even though gravel scraped up and fresh gravel applied). PDI is a total rip off. They charge you big bucks but we found many items wrong that they would have corrected if they actually followed their list . We've requested several times to be refunded but they won't refund. We also noticed imperfections in bedroom slide paint. Took motorhome to a detail shop and a body shop. Overspray behind slide and on wheel. Rough edges on colors. The opinion of both the detail and body shop is that damage done after manufactured. (hmmm what could have happened! We could guess) Sent email to Open Road management....no response . Luckily again Thor warranty says we can take to an RV painter and have repaired correctly. We are hoping Thor will make this right. If Open Road wants to stay in business they need to hire (and pay for)a seasoned service professional that can not only train but properly supervise a young staff. Having an honest supervisor who actually cares about quality would be a good start to earning back the trust they have lost. Our only recourse is to file a complaint and review with the better business bureau , Attorney Generals Office and Small Claims Court to hopefully be rewarded what is due to us. It's all of our rights as consumers!!!! On a last note. We can't believe employees and family members give Open Road 5 stars on their website to up their score. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM OPEN ROAD! We purchased our trailer brand NEW and within the first month it was leaking. We have had it in twice to fix the leak. Each time they said it was fixed and it wasn't. We winterized it and just this week we went in and the leak was never fixed. The floor/carpet is soaking and we have so much mold. I called and they said it was not under warranty. I am beyond upset. We spent over 26K and have had so many issues. The sales person we dealt with is so dishonest. He made a comment to me last time we were in there and I was beyond "SHOCKED". That's a whole other post. I can tell you they will say whatever they need to say to your face but they are dishonest and have the worst service. It's beyond frustrating. I can't remember the last time I have been this upset with a business. I am not one to post reviews but at this point i think you need to know this before you make the same mistake we did. To Whom It May Concern: We bought a used motor coach (2007 Fleetwood Southwind) from you late summer 2015. We took delivery in September after you replaced the outside dual tires on both sides. You also said you checked for any problems, because we were told it is unlawful to sell a vehicle that is not road safe. In 2015 we only used it once. We went to Ocean City on the coast. Before we even left for our trip there was a problem with the refrigerator/freezer. Your tech had to use a magnet to get the switch to start. This is still an issue and I have had to do the same thing to get the refrigerator/freezer to work. You should have replaced the switch. We also had to have the roof coated and sealed, Speedway RV $1500. This year (2016) we used it once to go north of Spokane. I complained to my husband that the motor coach was hard to steer and could the play in the steering wheel be tighten? We took it to Speedway to be checked and they didn't find anything wrong. I mentioned that I had driven school buses for years and they didn't have as much steering wheel play. We then asked to have the oil changed and while they were doing this they found several large problems. * Both inside dual tires were flat and almost down to the cords. You said they were okay when I asked. * Both long air stems, connecting the inside to outside duals were broken and shredded. * There was a large crack in the passenger rear lower shock mount. We bought new tires $1102.22 plus 206.50 labor. We bought a new shock mount $226.06 plus freight $11.18 plus labor $196.50. When this was being fixed they found another problem. * Both rear spring front straps were broken. We had these fixed by Aalbu Brothers $ 373.46. Any of the above mechanical problems could have caused a horrific accident. I think that when the outside dual tires were replaced the long air stem was not aligned properly. I'm sure that the shock mount and straps were broken when we bought the motor coach and you did a poor job of inspecting. Another issue is that the satellite does not work. We had Directv and Speedway RV check. It will cost approximately $900.00 to replace it. Total cost so far has been $2115.92, with another $900 if we want satellite service. We had planned a long trip to Tennessee this year and I am grateful that all of the problems were fixed before we go. Health issues were a blessing in disguise and we had to postpone the trip until next year. See enclosed pictures. We did not cause any of the above problems. We feel that you did a very poor job of inspecting the vehicle before we took delivery. We are very unhappy with your service and your company. You have zero credibility as far as we are concerned. We will not be recommending you to anyone and will discourage others from buying from you or using your service center. read more

After choosing an RV and getting the price, $26,995, we sat to look at the total. That's where, all of a sudden, $3,164 of extra "fees" were racked on. None of that was the tax or document fee which I expected to pay. $3,164! Are you kidding me? Talk about hidden fees! They tried telling us we wouldn't get what I said I wanted to sell my current RV. Telling me it was only worth $5,000 tops. We left that place and found the exact same RV, with a couple extra add on's for over $2,500 less and I sold my RV for $7,000. They said they'd give me $4,000. All in all, that's a difference of $5,500! Deceiving tactics, typical sales people. Oh, and you want that RV that same day, nope, next week for sure right, nope two weeks, try again, three weeks, yeah. Soonest would be three weeks to pick up the RV that we had just finished walking in in their lot. Head scratcher. Their price looked good online, but just wait for their "fees". read more

We purchased our 2017 Landmark Madison 365 on January 10, 2017 from Open Road in Smoky Point. Since there was a RV show taking place at that time we were told it would between 1 and 2 weeks before it would be ready for pick up. We agreed and said it wouldn't be a problem. Then the nightmare began. Our RV wasn't ready until February 24, 2017. When we did the walk through several of the things that we had pointed out to them had not been repaired. When we got the RV to our site the furnace stopped working and would not start up again. For almost 2 weeks we used the heat pump to keep warm and discovered many more items that either didn't work right or at all. I won't bore you with all the details but very few items were fixed that year, it was in the shop in Monroe for over 60 days and they still couldn't fix all the items. I need to point out that we live in our RV full time. So every time it went in the shop we didn't have anyplace to live. Since they had it for 14 days in March I asked to be reimbursed for some of our expenses while we were living in hotels. I asked for less than $1,000. I only charged them for 1 meal a day and the hotel rooms that I couldn't get comped. They wouldn't even respond to the request. Since we were due to be in Arizona on October 1st, we finally just took the RV back without having everything repaired. It's very difficult to try and share everything that has gone on with Open Road in this review. They have absolutely no positive Customer Service. They never return phone calls. We now have the RV back in their shop. They have had it for 44 days and still we wait. Now they tell us that they have pulled the technician from our RV so they could use him at the RV show. I should point out that we had a list with over 65 issues that needed to be repaired. I feel that Open Road owes us for all the days they have had our home in their shop. We don't have a second home where we can stay. I don't believe they know what they are doing. We just want our home back, repaired and in a timely manner. That shouldn't be too much to ask. Once they fix this Heartland piece of crap under warranty we will never go back. And everyone we meet in our travels we make sure they know not to use Open Road for anything. They lie to you, they cheat you and they have absolutely no Customer Service. And they do not accept responsibility for anything they do or in most cases don't do. read more

Purchased BRAND NEW 5th wheel less than a month ago. Have only been in 5th wheel less than a week. Alesmen only cared when he is making sale. Empty promises on service. But does HARASS you into giving him a good rating. Since purchasing 5th wheel theres been nothing but major issues. Water leak in kitchen. Which we were told by Dave, 'the service manager' to "fix it ourselves". It Flooded the living area floor and carpet. We have had no hot water since moving into 5th wheel. On this we were told to "bring 5th wheel back in for service". Husband has just had major surgery, and cannot be moving around, least of all driving/towing 5th wheel. We would NOT recommend this RV dealership to anyone!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! read more

Bought a 2013 Ford Escape from these guys on Memorial Day weekend (May 27, 2017). Beautiful car, ran great on the test drive, etc. 2 weeks later, I notice rough shifting up and down, figured it was the 4-wheel drive I wasn't used to. On June 24, 2017, the transmission went out completely. I didn't purchase the dealer waurantee, but good Lord, I didn't even have it for a month! When I called Open Road and talked to my sales agent, she was very sorry to hear of my experience; said she would talk to the owner and get back to me. That was 9 days ago. Now I am writing this to warn others to beware of Open Road Motor Sports--they don't stand behind their vehicles for even one month. I am a retired senior, living on a fixed income and now I have $5300. in car repairs on a brand new purchase. My expectation was that they might reimburse me for a portion of the bill at the very least. I guess not. read more

I was a victim of the Monroe RV show as well. Please Please save yourself the misery....If you've been so unfortunate to make a purchase make sure you schedule warranty work (coach on site) before your warranty expires. They scheduled our work (3 months out) after the warranty expired. When questioned about it we were told our warranty expired. If you were suckered in to purchasing an extended warranty....please try and get a refund. You'll be told it covers most ANYTHING within the coach. Reality it covers very little. Remember the extended warranty....Oh you purchased an extended warranty. I had written out everything I had issues with. They'll have you agree to paying for a number of hours up front to CHECK OUT the items you have issues with, inform you the hours will be covered by the warranty. Warranty covered two items for 300.00 and some change. You owe 300.00 for time we checked it out plus a 100.00 deductible. I paid 498.00 for two small items (covered by the WARRANTY.) I took my trailer off property without having the real issues dealt with. Remember they also sell you the warranty and know what it covers up front. This will be a memorable experience for you...Trust me!!! If you made a purchase and have issues if I suggest the Washington State Attorney Generals website. I've filed with them. read more

If there would be NEGATIVE stars this outfit would get 5. We bought our brand new Thor Citation last October and since then it has spent in excess of 10 weeks in the shop to fix warranty issues. From a leaking water line and faucet to water entering around the rear slide when driving in the rain we had pretty much everything one can imagine go wrong. The sales department was super nice and willing to make the deal happen but the service department is beyond abysmal. For the last round of fixes we had to wait for nearly two months for an appointment and now it is taking already over 3 weeks and the work does not seem to be done yet. The service team is not communicative to keep us updated on the progress. We had to cancel trip after trip, pay for storage and financing month over month without even using the RV. At this point I am so dissatisfied with both the quality of the motorhome and the work and services the dealership provides that I would return the vehicle and have a full refund of all cost and my down payment because I have zero confidence that the issues will ever be fixed to our satisfaction. But I guess that also is a pipe dream. read more

Sales staff was great and very low pressure....on our first trip we discovered the refrigerator wasn't working when we were plugged into electricity. It worked on propane fine. We took it back for warranty repair and they have had it for 7 weeks with no end in sight. I called today and the "part is on the way" (skinny little mother board not entire new frig unit). They've been telling us that for two weeks. There is no location in the United States that it takes 2+ weeks to ship from even UPS ground. They give us the same BS every time we call with no ETA at all as to when it will be done. My recommendation would be to give them a shot at purchase of unit but find somewhere else for service. After reading reviews it sounds like others have experienced similar wait times.....so this is not a one off. read more

They have had our trailer in their "care" for a combined total of 7 months and we have only owned the trailer for one year. It is always someone else fault as to why it is not fixed ie.."they sent us the wrong part or we have no control over shipping. or oh we thought we already ordered that" I dont believe any of this because I have been on a first name basis with the manufacturer, they call me for updates and have all the notes filed. We still don't have our trailer back and it has been in "repair" (this time around) since 1/6/17. We are supposed to have it back tomorrow so we can go on our camping trip, but I have a feeling it won't be complete yet again. AVOID at ALL cost!! After delaying our pick up for only a few days, we picked up our Venetian Motorhome on June 9th and have had one problem after another. Latest was the trim around the living room slide fell off on our recent road trip and had I not heard the crack and reached out, the heavy piece of trim would have hit me in the head causing major damage. We have tried to schedule an appointment to pick up pieces that had to be replaced and were on order, but the earliest they can get us in, is August in Monroe (who did the inspection) or later in July at Smokey Point. Our step cover quite working after a week, TV Antenna was never hooked up, one TV was replaced because it wasn't working, another quit recently, we have a leak in the bathroom, lots of other small issues but the major ones should have been taken care of during the initial inspection, they charge a ridiculous fee for this. The other trim on the living slide fell off and damaged the refrigerator doors when Open Road moved it from Smokey Point to Monroe, That should have given them enough clue to inspect the other trim thoroughly when prepping it. Worst experience in trying to buy a Class C RV. After finally finding an RV I liked and getting the numbers to fit my budget,I thought everything was good to go. Got a notice I was approved by the credit company. Called to make sure everything was good to go. Notified them that I will come in and sign the paper work. Next thing I get was a call that they made a mistake to tune of $38.000.00 dollars. I need to come up with $38,000.00 more to get into the RV. Which basically made it impossible for me to get the RV. I don't even think they apologized for all the inconvenience of working for days to get the right RV. I will never go back to Open Road RV. read more

Sales staff and finance department was great. Bought a brand new trailer from the smokey point lot. No issues whatsoever with them. Monroe on the other hand. What a joke. I paid for a walk through and for them to make sure everything worked properly. My walk through was with a detailer. I didn't make that an issue, I know it's summer and they are busy. Took the trailer home and used it once. The back bedroom filled with water once the pressure was turned on. The toilet leaked. The fridge didn't work. Brand new. I called to bring it back out to Monroe which is way out of our way. It's been there five weeks now. I was promised a pick up date of August 11th. They called the night before and they didn't even get a chance to look at it. Now they promised this week they would have someone on it and give a date in which we could pick it up. Promised a call yesterday. Never received a call. Called today and they still haven't even looked at it. What a joke. Never again will I, nor anyone I know do business with open road rv in Monroe. Excuses excuses excuses. That's all they are good for. Don't waste your time. read more

On Memorial Day weekend, our trailer suffered a catastrophic breakdown on Highway 2 near Goldbar. Our entire disc brake drum fell off the axle, leaving me stranded for more than five hours. I was eventually able to locate a specialty flatbed "landoll" tow service, but given that it was late in the afternoon on a holiday Monday, I had no idea where to tow the trailer to; my primary dealership was in Everett but they were closed. I called Open Road RV and spoke to their GM. Even though I wasn't an existing customer of theirs and they had a 3+ week service backlog, they agreed to let me bring my trailer in and drop it off after-hours. When I arrived, I met one of their salesmen (Jeff) who still happened to be there. He was extremely courteous and even helped the tow truck driver back in to their lot. For several days following the incident, their service manager was very helpful as well. In the end, my primary dealership in Everett ended up repairing my trailer under warranty, so I wasn't able to render the repair services of Open Road RV, but I cannot express my gratitude for their willingness to take in my trailer and doing what they could to help out. From their GM, to the sales staff, to service - all were very professional and helpful. I'll certainly be returning to Open Road RV next time I'm in the market for a new trailer. Over three weeks ago I emailed Open Road about an RV I saw on Craigslist. The salesman called me and I asked two direct questions. He told me it had never leaked, and did not smell. I drove 2 hours in traffic to see it, and it had bad water damage and the freezer stunk like fish so bad the salesman standing outside the RV said, "wow". I told them I was not interested, the salesman told me to make and offer based on everything being fixed. I made a very detailed offer which they accepted. NOW for the rest of the story, they repeatedly dropped the ball, the sales blaming service, service blaming sales. They all come across as "really nice" but they are horrible at what they do. When I picked up the camper on Saturday, I asked directly, "was the roof cleaned". They said, "yes". I get home and it has moss growing around the vents. Sorry, don't lie to me. The refrigerator still stinks, the quality of work is poor. Watch out for bait and switch tactics, verify all work to ensure they actually do it, shop elsewhere. read more

Our salesperson was friendly and anxious to please. However, the rest of the establishment was terrible. I purchased a used motorhome, not inexpensive, and it has been a battle ever since I signed the paperwork. I was going out of town for 2 weeks so they wanted me to rush in to pay for the vehicle before I left, which I did. I arranged to drop off my trade in and pick up the coach 3 weeks later. We wanted 2 small things added to the coach. We arrived on the appointed day only to find that the coach was not ready, the 2 things we wanted done had not even been started to be installed. The expensive PMI that we agreed to was a joke. We told them that we weren't going to take the coach home, that they could keep it until they did the work that we had asked for and paid for because of the expensive ferry ride we had to take to get to them. A week and half later we finally said forget it, just refund us the money for the 2 things we asked for, which they agreed to do. They delivered the coach to us with only one ignition key and one door key. Really? Then my husband had to fix all the little things that hadn't been repaired. Then we discovered that the packet of manuals that had been given to us was actually the packet for the trailer that we had traded in. We called them to let them know that there had been a mistake and that we still needed the manuals for our coach. They told us that they didn't have them and that they couldn't get them and advised us to get them from the manufacturers....and oh by the way would we please send the packet of manuals, etc from our old trailer back to them? That took me three trips into town to get it sent COD to them. I told them to make sure that there were instructions to have a check ready for the COD charges because if the box came back to me I was going to throw it away. I got the COD check back, someone had given UPS a personal check to pay for it....why? because no instructions were left to pay for the COD. Then I got my VISA bill, the $500 credit charge which was supposed to have been credited back to me when I signed the bill of sale was on my VISA bill. I called to see why I had not received the credit, the girl said she would do it right away. A week later I still had not received the credit receipt. I called VISA, it hadn't been done. In case you're wondering, no, the $500 charge is not shown anywhere on the settlement papers or the bill of sale. Wow, they actually called me back today and tried to tell me that it was done on August 7th. I informed them that I had talked to VISA on the 21st of August and there was no credit to my account. When I said I would just turn it over to VISA to deal with them, the bookkeeper said they would do it today. I later received a fax copy of the credit. They act friendly and talk a good story but they don't back up what they say they are going to do with actions. One department doesn't know what the other department is doing so they are constantly dropping the ball. The only thing they promised to do and was done in a timely fashion was to deliver the coach to us and that we had to insist on an exact date or we would probably still be waiting for it. Individually these are all nice people but the organization of this establishment is a disaster. read more
