I was searching online came across them. For $35 a person for 90min tour I believe it was a good deal. Saw many sights. Driver was very informative and drove safely the whole time.

Hilariously bad. I'll give our experience two stars because afterward we were so appalled that we agreed we'd never forget the it. I mean, we knew what we'd probably be getting from a tourist trap bus tour in Hollywood and had appropriately low expectations, but our girls thought they'd at least get to see one of Taylor Swift's houses (as advertised) and we'd get a drive around Hollywood without having to worry about actually driving. So fair enough. Low bar. But yikes, y'all. The tour was supposed to start at 5:30 but we didn't actually get moving until almost 6, whereupon the driver/guide (Magic Mike?) announced it would be getting dark so we "probably wouldn't be able to see shit." So all the celebrity homes that we were supposed to see? Yeah, nah. We saw where Charlie Sheen lived in the 90s and a bunch of reality stars, but mostly where someone died or got arrested. Oh, and the driver pointed out all of the adult toy stores and opined o the quality of the Hustler store and Larry FLynt, and the best places to get roleplay and bondage gear, and a few strip clubs too. The kids, who were about half the passengers, had LOTS of questions. Fun! At one point my daughter said she'd just have to tell people some random house we drove by was Taylor's, because that's all she cared about. But the driver. Dear lord, the driver. Cheerfully announcing he wasn't stopping for any red lights or stop signs, weaving through moving traffic, then taking a short cut to skip a third of the tour because we were behind schedule thanks to the half hour-late start that ended up getting us stuck in traffic on Mulholland thanks to a wreck, thus cutting the tour even shorter... And he cussed every other driver and called the the R-word multiple times for literally obeying traffic laws (at one point he started yelling at someone to just effing go through a red light because there wasn't a cop around), occasionally threatening violence, and yelling at the kids sitting behind him to shut up or their mother for not shutting them up, all over an open mic. Hilarious. So if you do want a horrifically memorable experience, go ahead! Be forewarned there's literally no heat in the but, not even from floor vents, so if you go after sunset bundle up. I wouldn't recommend it though, because as the driver said, you won't be able to see shit.

    Hollywood sign in passing.

The tour was pretty cool! Perfect weather. The guide was very entertaining! Got to see Taylor swift and Connor McGregor. The busses need to be cleaned. Otherwise, no complaints!

I knew I had to book the bus at least 6 months in advance to make sure I got a great price and that the bus was available. The bus tour was one of our family activities for my 3-day family reunion in late July, consisting of 200 people. About 60 went on the bus tour. My family enjoyed the tour and had phrases of how great Steven and his team were. To top the great service we got, Steven even drove back to hotel that my family was staying in to bring back an iPad which one of my aunts left behind. Now that is beyond customer service! Steven, I thank you for taking great care of my family! I will definitely book again.

Our guide, Ansley, was respectful, knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly. She really brought the stories to life and made everyone feel comfortable asking questions. The vintage funeral car was such a cool and fitting touch for the Manson Family Murders Tour (and the main reason why I booked the tour). About 80% of the experience was spent in the car, which was cozy and gave us plenty of time to soak in the history while listening to music from the era. Including Manson, The Beach Boys, and The Beatles, to name a few. We also made three stops along the way to get out, take photos, and see key locations up close. As a mortician, the experience carried an extra layer of meaning. I actually helped funeral direct the service for the LaBiancas' granddaughter (who had the same fate as her grandparents). So hearing and seeing this history firsthand felt deeply personal and surreal. If you're into true crime or Los Angeles history, this tour is an absolute must. Graveliners and Ansley made the experience both educational and unforgettable. We loved every minute!

I am so tired after a long day in L.A. But I feel compelled to hurry up and write a review. I am…read moresad to see so many negative reviews of Starline Tours. Today, they stepped up to the plate twice for us. We are staying at The Garland and they pick up passengers from this hotel. Well, this morning my Mom and two Aussies we befriended were waiting for the bus. It was late. We were getting antsy but the hotel informed us the driver had an emergency and Starline was sending an Uber for us. One minute late later, the Polestar arrived to pick us up Now the ride is tricky on the bus. There is traffic. This is L.A. Overall we were not exactly late for stops. Maybe a few minutes but no big deal. The drivers were nice and gave useful recommendations. The bus was comfortable and riding on the top deck of a double decker bus is one of my favorite things to do in a city I am visiting. The weather was perfect. I was happy. The stops are hit and miss. Some are well worth visiting such as Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, The Grove, Pink's, Olvera Avenue, Melrose Avenue, and really I could go for quite a bit. Others make me go hmm...like the Four Seasons and some unknown streets. Something for everyone. Now to make a long story short we hopped from the red to the yellow back to the red line. This is time consuming and I called telling the lady, Yasmine, I believe that we would not meet the deadline for the last drop-off at Dolby Theater to take us back to The Garland. She spoke with her supervisor, I believe it was Lisa. No problem.....Solomon will take you back to The Garland. Well, let me tell you. Solomon was right there as promised. And guess what? He drove us in his brand new Tesla! No joke. We took a scenic route and saw amazing views of Downtown L.A., the Hollywood sign and through one of the canyons, I forget which one. Solomon was so, so nice. He is a true asset to the company. Now, things did not go 100% smoothly but when does it? Starline Tours stepped up and did right by us. I will recommend them to anyone wanting to see fun L.A. spots without the absolute hassle of driving. And yes, the headset worked on every bus we were on.

I had a two-day pass and I thought that would be plenty of time. The problem was the small number of buses available. If there had been a bus every 15-30 minutes, I could have done more. Instead, the buses ran every hour or less frequently. There was a shortage of buses and drivers, according to the company. One route had only one bus, so we had to wait for it to make the whole circuit before we could get on again. Sometimes the buses didn't show up when scheduled, which made everything longer. I was very disappointed in this tour. I have to say, though, that the audio portion of the tour was good. Earphones were provided and although there was some static, I could usually understand what was being said.

Instead, we were repeatedly told to "come back closer to 11" and then that there was a "bus issue" and come back at 11:15 am. We wandered around in the cold. We checked in 3-4 times because we had lunch plans after the 2-hour tour. Staff claimed another group was late (which turned out NOT to be true). Meanwhile, employees were trying to recruit more passengers. Only after we said we were canceling 30 minutes late, did they send us to board a bus. The driver was nice, but one seat behind him had no working seat belt. Three blocks after leaving, the bus was called back to pick up a group of 8 even though there were only 7 seat belts available. We were pressured to give up our safe seats and wait for another bus. We refused to exit. We refused to sit without a seat belt. The older male staff member was aggressive and extremely rude.
