We feel that our children are safe, loved and being taught the values that represent our family's core values. The corner stone, of course, is that the education is great - my children are equipped with life skills and a solid educational foundation for a bright future. I have three kids: one who went to the toddler program, preschool, pre-K and is now in the elementary school; another is in pre-K; the last will begin preschool when she's 2.9 years old. One thing that continues to impress me is that every single year, we get an awesome group of teachers to instruct and partner with us to raise our kids. most of the classes are pretty small but have consistent and ample staffing to provide a stable and engaging environment. They are accredited by EEC & have a fun but challenging curriculum for each age/grade. Through early Covid, the school reacted and engaged with the students at a very high level online. In fall 2020, they opened back up for in person learning. Our family did not partake in that school year but we missed a lot of things about it and tried to stay informed. The only thing that has made me sad is when families move to public school for elementary and the little friendships and parent relationships fall off. I am encouraged that there is talk of expanding the school to include middle school in the near future and I hope this has an impact on more kids staying. Either way, we know Mount Hope is the right place for us! The facilities are well-kept and have recently been renovated (all of the bathrooms are new and updated and the playground equipment has been recently changed). There is a hot lunch program, which is prepared on site and catered by Burlington famous pizza. There is also for school and after school care options available. It's definitely an investment to get great childcare and education, but it's an investment well worth it! Our kids are our now and our future!

I would not hesitate to recommend Dan to anyone looking to learn guitar, bass, drums, piano, or music theory - he is a beast at all of these instruments and has a wealth of knowledge and resources on all of these subjects. Our lessons were equally directed by both my interests and his recommended path for beginners - we spent time learning pop songs, jazz standards, beginner classical pieces, approaches to improvisation and songwriting, and doing deep dives into the underlying theory of all of the above. I'm an adult learner with a full-time job - I feel like Dan always struck a good balance between understanding that I have other time commitments, while still pushing and encouraging me to get into a healthy practice routine, and recommending exercises to do even when I only have a few minutes a day to spend at the piano. His studio is fully equipped and would be awesome to visit if you can do in-person, but his set-up for virtual lessons is fully decked out as well, with multiple cameras, virtual "piano roll" view, and great a/v quality. All in all Dan is a great guy and a great teacher - very knowledgeable and well-versed in many instruments and genres, but more importantly very approachable and good to work with. I'm a better, more confidant musician after taking lessons with Dan!

I had no prior experience to piano, but he was a great teacher. I mentioned that I was interested in jazz, contemporary classical, and some pop songs, and he was able to teach each genre to me. He also shared a lot of music books via PDF which was great so I didn't have to purchase additional materials At least during the time I took lessons, Dan had a system where you paid for four weekly lessons at a time. If I was unable to make my time during the week for whatever reason, he offered other times he was available so I could make up my lesson The only reason I stopped taking lessons was because other commitments in my life were overtaking my free time, but I truly enjoyed having Dan as my teacher and having the opportunity to finally learn piano. Thank you!

This place will always hold a special place in my heart! A few specific things that I want to call out, as I have found them incredibly valuable to me over the years. -GBLB is independently owned. The owner, Abby, is engaged, thoughtful, and incredible with kids. She is easy to contact and responsive. (I feel compelled to mention that she also has expert level face painting skills that each of my kids have loved!) -The staff are equally wonderful and most have been there for the full 10 years we have been at GBLB. Seasoned educators beware, this place is for young ones just out of college that want to work at a…read more"school" The owners and management staff are business sharks that have their own ways and philosophies pushed onto the new staff (especially young people just starting out) . It's not about the teachers even though they make it appear that way - sorry but daycare educators want more vacation time, a better schedule (because you have to work a 9 hour shift with an unpaid paid hour lunch break) and proper raises and bonuses (without having to move up (suck up) to management) if you are a Teacher and just want to do your job - good luck with that! Educators don't want pizza and cupcakes or staff events they want real paid time off, seniority respect, and increased vacation every year of service. When they opened their school they wanted to treat the educators well but REFUSED to look into burnout. Instead they decided to host tons of events (some being on Saturdays) and enroll children without enough staff. They also used to be opened 6:30-630 - kids never left because the tuition is so damn expensive. Kids never went home sick or missed a day because tuition is so expensive. Burnout is real and when you work long hours into the day and get few paid holidays it's really gets to you. Kiss your summer goodbye because the time off is so low that once summer comes you used up all your PTO in the winter cus you got sick or had a few things going on... 5 days that's it! Also if you're there for many years, you get the same time off package as new people. The standards are so high that you can't enjoy the children because your constantly checking off boxes, on the iPad, or dealing with " Primrose fluff" it's very hard for one human to adhere to Primrose standards. Don't even get me into the curriculum (not NAEYC) either. It's not fun if you're a free thinker or free spirit. There's no respect for seniority either. One summer I witnessed 25 staff members leave the company. It's what the owners feel is important, they want you to fit into their little box. Use your judgement if thinking about working here or enrolling your child. If your wealthy Montessori is the way to go/ private nannying/ small church preschools! Less stressed out teachers, more focus on the children for sure. Oh, and you have to wear dress pants and flats (that smell and fall off running after the kids) but at least you "look good" to the parents (Lol) and you have to purchase your own primrose shirts for uniform.

Prior to enrolling into Primrose we toured every single day care in the neighborhood and none of them really compared to Primrose. Once you walk into the building you just instantly know that the school is very well managed and operated.

I cannot say enough about the quality of care. Every teacher is extremely caring and loving. A lot of thought goes into planning of the curriculum each week. The children are very well cared for, educated, and have lots of fun along the way. The center, itself, is very well run, extremely clean, and each section is well thought out and very inviting and appealing to the eyes of a child. Children learn healthy habits, they learn to play and care for and get along with others, making long time friends along the way. As they age into the preschool years, the curriculum adjusts accordingly and they are well prepared for kindergarten. All Office for Children's requirements are strictly adhered to, and monitored regularly. Communication between the center & the family is top notch. I would highly recommend the center if you are looking for a warm, safe, loving and caring placement for your child while you are at work.

I knew I was going to send him to The Learning Garden (even though at the time they did not yet offer full-time care). If there was a better word for "supportive" I'd use it to describe the teachers, especially Mrs. Beth Downer. They make it easy to share personal stories about your kids. They have excellent listening skills meaning they don't interrupt and you can see they are really absorbing what you are sharing (regardless of how many loud kids there are in the background). Their eagerness to be on the same page as you makes you feel like you are part of a united team there to work together and to propel your child forward with love and care. Yes, this is only pre-school we're talking about but this school is much more than "just" a pre-school. The Learning Garden cares about the education they are providing. They understand the needs and wants of young children. They are not too pushy except when it was in the best interest for your child. In our experience we are so thankful that they cared so much about our kid's well-beings and their educational needs. Two of our children have experienced both their full day care (they were one of the first enrolled) as well as the part-time pre-school program. The school's curriculum, structure, and supportive environment are worth the investment. I can't wait to send our next child to The Learning Garden.

Both of my kids were at home most of the time before toddler class, but they adapted quickly as the teachers are loving and caring, my kids speaks Chinese at home, the teacher even learned Chinese words that I normally say to my kids to have them feel like home. The daycare have nice transition arrangement from toddler to preschool, my son loved the preschool class right away as there are lots of fun activities and new things to learn, and I really appreciate the teacher helping my son to developed lots of social skills such as how to play together with other kids, ask nicely, use words to express feelings, follow the rules of the classroom etc. The preprimary program is amazing, the lead teacher designed themes with curriculum such as animals, different states in US, planet and earth, professionals. They select books, activities, music around theme, kids loved them and they learned as they have fun. Also the teachers really helps the kids finds their interests and strength, and guides them to develop teamwork and leadership skills. It was great to see my son work together with other kids on building block, making crafts, drawings. What I also really like this daycare is they organize lots of event for the family, we got to know more about the teachers and courses, the other families, and have chance to share different cultures. They also provide additional classes, I sign my son to soccer and phonics, my son loved the coach and teacher, and he learned disciplines and developed reading skills from those extra classes.
