So this is it, the ONLY real Greek restaurant in Santiago.
This little gem is only open on Saturdays and Sundays and during limited hours (12pm to 4pm). The menu is small but changes often.
The decor is amazing here...wow...I spent a good 15 minutes after we ate looking around. It is adorned wall to wall and ceiling to floor with greek posters, books, plates, and various memorabilia of Greece.
We tried the Greek salad (7.000) which was big enough to serve 4 people as an appetizer. It was absolutely gigantic. Considering the cost of real kalamata olives and real feta here in Chile, this is well worth the cost. We also tried a moussaka and a souvlaki giro with fries. The moussaka wasnt what I am normally used to, it was somewhat falling apart, but the ingredients and the proper flavours were all there. The souvlaki giro was great and fries came with oregano as they do in Greece!
This place makes me very, very happy...I will return! Its very difficult to find authentic food of any kind here in Chile. read more
