First time in Oakley Kitchen and thought that this place seemed the most intriguing after my lap around the place. My food was really tasty! I thought the sauce they braised the chicken in was super flavorful and the papaya salad as a side was nice to cut through the richness of the chicken thighs. I did have to wait around 20 min for my food and then as it was ready, they mentioned that the starter I ordered wasn't available anymore. This was disappointing because I was super excited to try their spam dish. The worker nicely offered the other starter as a replacement and I decided to just do that - the spring rolls were OK. It would be nice to have a system in place to keep track of the food being promised to customers so the situation that I was in doesn't happen. Stopped by for the first time for lunch. They currently only take card but you can order on both grub hub and through their QR code that takes you to toast. The food was amazing and had a savory taste. The portions pretty big too so you will for sure have left overs! Def would recommend. I am so glad I finally got around to visiting Onolicious! I ordered it at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. When I got there 10 minutes later, it was ready to go! I got the beef plate, spam musubi, papaya salad, lumpia and pineapple tea. The beef plate was so good. I almost thought it tasted like pork but that was just the marinade and how it just melted in your mouth. The portions were huge! I was eating with my partner so we finished it all but if you're dining alone, you could definitely have leftovers for lunch. The papaya salad was delicious. Definitely a staple in my Viet family and so glad that they had that option! The cherry tomatoes tasted so fresh. I also really liked the lumpia with the sour lemon sauce they had. It complimented the fried lumpia really well. The musubi was also really delicious. Really paired nicely with the sauce they gave us. The pineapple iced tea was my favorite! We stopped in for lunch and got to talk to the nice folks here at OH and it was decided we needed to try both the pork and the chicken but no steak because they were out at the time but were madly working on getting more on the grill. Food was ready in short order. Went outside and sat at one of the numerous tables. If it's raining, no worries because upstairs, they have a massive area for enjoying your lunch. The Oakley Kitchen Food Hall is a rather amazing place allowing us to try foods from a number of differ t local vendors giving it a go with a 'brick and mortar' storefront. The food was very tasty. My favorite was the chicken and if for sure order that again. Prepare yourself because the plate portions are massive. One plate could have fed two adults easily. Finally, Hawaiian food in Cincinnati! It's seriously all great stuff, but I'm particularly fond of the beef skewers and the pork (which is occasionally too salty, my only complaint). The papaya salad is a delightfully crisp and refreshing side, I hugely recommend it. Chicken is good too, no joke. They mix things up with lots of daily specials and such. Kalbi is great when they have it (can't be often enough!), same with the meat jun. It's just a great place. It's so great that we drive half an hour to get it and don't even mind. This was my first visit to the Oakley Food Kitchen and I was blown away by the experience. Upstairs you'll find an enormous food hall that reminds me of a classic beer hall atmosphere. All the restaurants are downstairs and it was easy find Onolicious. Let me start by saying, the people working there were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was hoping to try the pork sliders, but they were out of pork - so that was a bummer. I opted for the "salted" chicken dish known as shoe chicken - it has a sweet salty flavor, but a little heavy on the salt for my personal taste. I opted for the platter with rice and ordered the papaya salad. I'm a huge fan of green papaya salad and this one was really, reall good. The portion was very generous and overall I really liked it, but a bit too salty. I think next time I'll hit the pork sliders and see what I think. This is a nice hidden gem that I was lucky enough to be able to try. Great food, awesome staff, super friendly and everything tasted above and beyond what I expected. Being a pretty new place with what I could see which where just two employees they are doing magic. Everything was Seasoned very well, each meat had an specific taste not like many places that for example use the same Rub for the chicken, the beef and the pork which makes everything maybe tasty but one note... I dont believe they do that and If they do, then there must be something else just to make it stand out. Everything felt fresh and juicy. I would've loved that they had some Poke or something similar to really get me to that Hawaiian vibe, BUT! As I said, they are just starting, only two people working (for what I saw) and they have been there for only four months so hopefully they keep growing and keep making delicious food. Finally tried Onolicious last Friday and it did not disappoint! Our party of six shared most of the menu items so we could try lots of things, and we loved it all! Favorites were the Musubi, Nanakuli Hash, Fried Spam, Loco Moco, and the Malasadas! The decor was bright and beautiful with cool Hawaiian phrases painted on the walls and fun swings to sit in by the window counter. The staff were welcoming and gave some great recommendations with fast friendly service. We liked the ordering process of scanning the table code and ordering on our phones. One cashew allergy, one lactose intolerance and gluten-free. Oakley kitchen is a cool concept overall. I'm surprised it doesn't get more traffic since I love the hawker hall concept. Definitely does not get the play it deserves. Really appreciate the vegan options they had (although I went full meat). As always I ordered way too much food. - Grilled spam - 2 meat plate - Shoyu Chicken, Beef sticks, rice and mac salad - 1 meat plate Pulled Pork, rice and mac salad - Kids plate with chicken - Kids plate with pulled pork Grilled spam - you can never go wrong with grilled spam. I don't eat it a ton because again, it's spam, but the sauce was tasty and you got a really big portion for $5 (mini takeout containers worth). My kids also mowed it down. Shoyu chicken. I think my issue here was expectation. I misread it (didn't realize it was braised) and was expecting more of a grilled type of chicken that had been marinated. Because it was a braised chicken it was very saucy and not my fav. With that being said I was talking to my cousin and they were mentioned how much they loved the shoyu chicken here so take that for what it's worth. Neither of my kids ended up eating it but they're also kids and who knows what they'll eat sometimes. Beef stick - super good and were a standout fav for us. My husband and I argued over who got to eat it. Pulled pork - love the simplicity. I did wish there was a sauce option to dip it in (teriyaki? huli huli?) but know that's not traditional. Mac salad - I'm a sucker for any type of mac salad so this definitely worked for me. Overall happy with the food and the folks working there were super nice. I love supporting small businesses like this. The food kitchen is more of a takeaway vs. dining service type of place by design but I did tip and I think we ended up in the $70 - $80 range which felt a little pricy.
