I've seen numerous videos on social media about how great this place is, so during the day I pulled up the menu and the family members picked what they wanted, their food truck was in Hendersonville not far from my house, I pulled up anticipating a good exchange, but the girl was too busy on her phone to really interact with me, I told her the three different potato choices we had chosen, Yep you guessed it!! Sorry we don't have them at the moment, The Menu was very limited to say the least, it's 2:30 in the afternoon, they opened at 11:00 am and are supposed to be open until 6:00pm!! Apparently poor planning on their part, but attitude plays a big part in if a customer comes back, with what I experienced, I think I'll spend my money elsewhere. I've been dying to try them ever since I watched a few videos of him making their colossal creations. I did my order on Doordash, so yes, I know it's not going to be the same as ordering there. But tonight, you did the worst thing you could do to a patron. You made a choice for me without my consent, and you made no attempt to contact me. I selected the chili spud, who could mess up chili. Well, it must have been a favorite today, and I'm happy for you if that's the case, but I didnt get what I ordered because you substituted it with the chicken, bacon, broccoli, squirt of ranch spud. You didn't call me to tell me you were unable to prepare my food or ask me what I'd like to get instead. You made that choice for me. FYI, that's bad business. I don't order chicken online because 90% of the time, it's dry and overcooked. Guess what? I did taste the spud you sent me. Your chicken was dry and nasty. Your potato was dry and nasty. Thank goodness Doordash saw that my original order was substituted, but they thought I approved it. Doordash did the right thing, and I was able to order food that I could actually eat. So here's a little advice, first off, take your videos down because this potato looked and tasted like it had never been introduced to butter; second, never ever presume to know what substitution a customer wants. You wouldn't do that if they were standing in front of you. Just because I ordered from Doordash doesn't mean you can do Willy nilly whatever you want to. So, do I recommend your establishment? I saw this on tiktok and said that if I ever went to Nashville, that I would go get it. My fiancé and I planned a trip to Nashville, so we had to make a trip to One Spunky Spud. The staff is so sweet. They have some awesome creations on their menu. The kool aid is bomb. I got the massive loaded bbq potato, and my fiancé got the Buffalo chicken potato. Wow. They were both so delicious and very filling. Perfect stop. It is not in Nashville exactly. It's more on the outskirts, but the 20 minute drive wasn't a hassle, and it was more than worth it. My honest opinion: Absolutely love the owner's charisma and personality. I am basing my review solely on the food I tried; which was the chicken Alfred potato. My first choice was the seafood potato, but they were out of shrimp. Although the potato and chicken was cooked perfectly, it was a little too salty for my liking. There were no unique flavors that stood out - other than salt. I would try this establishment again, but I wouldn't go for the chicken Alfredo again. It was just basic in flavor for me. The viggie didn't have anything they listed on the website and I'm thankful that I just so happen to like the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots that came on it instead. Worst experience ever, I went in on Tuesday June 29, 2021 around 6:15 and was unpleasantly surprised by the limited menu. The guy at the register had written on a piece of paper the available options. I had driven 45 minutes so I had to try something. I usually get the seafood Alfredo, but he said that they stop making additional food because they want to eliminate waste( however they were stacking Banana pudding cups in the refrigerator). I asked what was good on the menu and was told that the Philly cheesesteaks were a favorite as well as the chili cheese. So we ordered those two options. The wait was not terribly long for our food but it was horrible. The potatoes were over cooked and contained little or no pulp. The steak was overly salted and covered with cheese to mask the missing potatoes. The other chili cheese was cheese and meat, no potatoes as well(OVER COOKED). These potatoes appeared to have been left in the warmer the entire day and should have been discarded instead of served to paying customers. We took our food home and tried calling, but no answer. Called the following day and was totally disappointed and displeased with customer service. They said sorry we will do better next time. Located in the food court of Rivergate Mall. We go as a family sometimes and eat at the food court so we can all have variety. I noticed this new spot called "One Spunky Spud". They mainly sell different styles of loaded potatoes and other variety of specialty foods such as Hot cheetos with Chili and cheese and other chips like Doritios and the such with various toppings. I got the BAR B QUE LOADED Potato and it was not only enormous but also delicious. My wife got the Chili Cheese and was also pleased with the experience. The restaurant is in Rivergate Mall's food court, it wasn't very busy there. The customer service is top notch. The owner is a nice man and he's funny. We got the taco potato, Philly cheesesteak, the massive bbq potato and a fruit tea to go. When I went here they were out of rice, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to try one of the pineapple boats. It was quite early in the day so it's weird they were already out of rice, they offered to do it without the rice, I declined. The potatoes were good not the best stuffed potato I have eaten but still good enough to go again. The fruit tea was one of the best fruit teas I have ever had from an establishment. While waiting the restaurant next to them had an altercation with a group of rude "customers", which isn't surprising for Rivergate mall, so be prepared if you are scared of that type of thing.
