We looked around and tried out beds for an hour and then said we would be back. We came back a few hours later after thinking about what we wanted for awhile. Shawn was patient and answered all the questions we had. We finally decided to purchase a mattress and an adjustable bed frame. The frame was on backorder, but Shawn was able to find us a better frame for just a little bit more. We were worried that it was close to closing but Shawn stayed late to make sure our order got in and we could get it as soon as possible. The next day we decided that we actually wanted to move one level up on the quality of the mattress. We returned to the store and Shawn greeted us with a smile, told us the pros and cons of the change, and then helped us get everything switched over. As Shawn spent a long time on the phone unveiling the mystery in that change and discovering several other changes in prices to accessories and other "work around" on costs, we could hear his surprise This was no performance for our benefit; he was truly confused and surprised. All the while we joked and laughed with Dwayne and learned more about the bed and things associated with it. After he got off of the phone, Shawn continued to work with numbers and by the time he finished he had better than matched the lowest price for that bed, then significantly discounted some accessories we wanted. After the sale, the delivery date was important and a rush was requested, monitored, and delivery occurred ahead of the requested date -a bonus. We were never pressured, told it would be be "better to do business here because," or any other high pressure sales tactic. it was always "this is what we have" and it's value, friendship, and help. The products are good to great quality (depending on how much you are willing to spend), and they sell no junk. I went back to Tacoma three different times from my residence which is an hour each way. The store and floor manager both stated that the problem had been resolved each time we went back to the store to find out why the delivery wasn't made. as they never answer the phone. At that time I advised both managers that I expected that they cover the cost of the delivery service which both agreed was a fair request. The delivery company arrive on the fourth delivery attempt and completed the order. Three weeks later I find a delivery charge on my credit card of $109.49. Waiting to see if they honor their agreement with me but rest assured; I will never deal with Ashley Furniture again as they cost me time, money and frustration for my uncle.

The Tacoma employee told me they would price match, but that I had to come into the store to place the order. They even gave me the total price over the phone. Based on that information, I drove all the way to the Tacoma store. Once I got there, I was told they do not price match and that it's not their policy. So after being told the opposite on the phone and making the trip out there, they completely backtracked. This kind of miscommunication between a store and customer shouldn't happen, especially when customers are making a special trip based on what they were told. If the policy is no price matching, that's fine but customers should be given accurate information before being told to drive to the store. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time.

We were told twice that our sofa qualified for the "Buy More, Save More" promotion, only to be told at the time of purchase that it didn't. Weeks later (and after repeated follow-up), both their online Customer Service Rep and Regional Manager (Bren) confirmed it actually DID qualify. We were also told the cabinet we ordered was in stock, then sold out, then found, then not found. We received at least four contradictory updates over two weeks. After over a month of back-and-forth, we finally received a refund for the cabinet, but only after physically returning to the store to get it processed. The product quality may be nice, but it's simply not worth the stress.

We went to Mattress Firm first, where they pushed the split king (so buying 2 twin beds of our preferences). We liked the idea. Hated a few other mattress stores. Went here as a last stop to just see what they had. We met Joshua, who was incredible. He explained that 2 separate twins would be the most expensive possible option and that he was sure he would find something for us to agree on. He was right. We tried out 5 beds alongside him and he asked us questions to narrow down our search and figure out what we were actually looking for. We fell in LOVE with the Avocado mattress. It was actually medium-soft, though my partner wanted a firm bed, but so supportive and comfy that he fell for it. It really was the best of all the things we wanted and easily our favorite. Joshua was super helpful in both his methodology and the info we got. He honored a sale for us, helped us pick out pillows, and gave us just the right amount of care without overwhelming us. We were back in to purchase the next day and are now awaiting delivery! Yay! These guys are the real deal. They are not owned by any big companies, so are able to speak candidly on brands and really hone in on what will work best, not meeting sales quotas. My son and I spent about 3 interesting hours with a salesman, who is a part owner of the company. My son learned that about two years ago when he and his wife spent time in this store. When he knew that I needed a new mattress, he recommended this place because they had had an informative visit with one of the owners there. This man welcomed us when we arrived. He remembered my son's face, but not his name. Anyway, I told him what mattress I had, and why I wanted a new one, and what features were important to me. He listened intently and started having me try mattresses, and asked me questions about my experience laying down on each one. I tried 4 of them, and I liked them all, but the 5th one, when I laid down, felt like it was crafted especially for me. Joshua, the owner/salesman, re-explained the mattress features that made me feel that way. Now that is why, I bought the mattress, that I did, from them. Think about it, a salesman who listens intently to you, and explains how your needs can be meant, and then graphically, shows you how your body's needs can be meant, and re-explains why the mattress features are related to what your needs are, is a good, interesting, and informative one. Also, he gave me a good price that fit into my budget AND he is going to deliver it, himself, on Tuesday Night! I will review the delivery and later, my review of the product!!!
