I love this studio! I am beyond thrilled that Texarkana finally has a yoga studio that embraces love, light, and healing. They have an affirmation wall where everyone writes uplifting words to encourage one another. The studio is beautiful and bright. It provides a peaceful space which is very inviting. I am a 200RYT and I trained in Dallas, TX at Sunstone Academy. For years I never taught because I cannot do a power flow class, due to previous surgeries and injuries, and I cannot do a lot of wrist work (which is a lot of yoga!). I was driving down Richmond Road the other day when I saw people standing outside of this studio and I saw the sign. I was so excited to see another yoga studio that I signed up for a walk in class for $10 and decided to take the 6pm All Levels class the following day. I loved every bit of it. The instructor/owner was incredible. This class spoke to my soul. We were lead through a series of postures and I did not feel pressured to perform. Instead, I was relieved to find that it was okay to not do every pose. It was okay to honor what my body was telling me. It was celebrated even. I've been to many different yoga studios, and this is why I gravitate to studios like this. You experience the spiritual aspects of yoga and unity. While I did not know the other people in the room, by the end of the class we made friends. If you have ever thought about trying yoga, or maybe just haven't checked out a yoga class in a while - DO NOT HESITATE. Go check out One Love Yoga! It was just what my spirit needed and now I've signed up for the three month membership. I haven't done yoga in a while because I work out of town and the only classes I could ever make it to were the more challenging ones at another local studio, which didn't work well for my injuries. I would end up feeling judged or critiqued whenever I would modify my poses or do things on my knuckles instead of a flat palm. This was just my personal experience, but I am really hard on myself too. No one probably even noticed. So, if you ARE hard on yourself and find it hard to just be or accept your body the way it is - this is the yoga studio for you. You will leave with a new love for your body and a smile on your face. The guided meditation at the end was beautiful. As I was in Savasana tears rolled gently down my cheek as I imagined seeing my best friend, who is no longer on this earth, smiling back at me on a cloud. I felt my throat chakra tighten and then when I allowed my tears to release, my throat chakra released and I felt free. What an amazing way to end a class, feeling loved and free. Reasons to check it out besides my amazing experience: it's a new adventure, bright and inviting studio, convenient location, easy schedule to memorize, great selection of classes to choose from for any busy schedule, and of course, my personal favorite an ALL LEVELS YOGA CLASS! You won't feel intimidated. You will feel LOVE. They really could not have selected a better name for the studio. read more
