I was invited to this church when I first moved to Dallas and I've been going ever since. the pastor always has a series that keeps you coming back. He uses scripture to discuss real world current events so that it makes sense to you in this season that you're in. He goes over the top with props, but most importantly he really breaks down the word. In addition to service being great, they have amazing worship services. There is youth, young doll and kids choirs. They have life groups and multiple different categories to meet everyone need they go all out with the theme and decor for events holidays and experiences. They host a huge carnival Easter bash. I mean, I could go on and on and one about all of the things they do but one thing that also sticks out is the Dfw I love you initiative where they collect money and resources to go and install into other churches and nonprofits in the area. read more

Our family has been members over several years and was also told the church OCC refused to make a church announcement advising members of our OCC family and to request donations. My kids and I where supposed to be baptized January 1st. the date had been pushed up from later in the month. my youngest is on the autistic (non verbal). I asked from the beginning about accommodations being made. they kept going around the topic instead of straight to the point that there was nothing they can do. so I went straight to the point and was like there's no ill feeling i will just find another church that will do it. my feelings where hurt. my boys and I went to a svc when there was a special guest pastor, (he did amazing by the way). and I was considering this place being my kids and I new church home. well since the baptism couldn't work out I will never step a foot again in OCC or its other locations. you don't have to go exactly by man rules. God see and know our heart, and 2022 was the worse year for my family and I and I just felt like us being baptized would have been like a renewing of the overall mind body spirit. I have talked to several people and told them what was going on, they where shocked and didn't know why they would turn away me and my kids. my son is a gift as well as all my kids. and the pastor I talked with was very mean and acted like my son was stupid and he need to learn a few things. I was trying to be as respectful as I could with it being church people. but they was about to get my bad side, cas one thing I don't do is play with my kids. God don't give u no more than u can handle and the guy kept repeating so he is in a special needs class. so he doesn't talk, so he this and that. I just stay quiet and let him talk but I wanted to tell him a few things. until u learn and special needs and kids with disabilities, don't talk to them or their caregivers. u really rubbed me the wrong way. yall are supposed to be workers for the lord not being mean to people who are trying to get a better relationship and understanding. I hope this helps others who will come into contact with this place. I been holding back from not wanting to speak but I'm sure I'm not the only one with a child who is autistic. my son is handsome he understands and he is talent & gifted even tho he cannot communicate with words. I pray one day God will bless my son to use his words but until then, i am going to keep searching for the right church for my kids and I. yall need to look into the hearts of God people instead of looking down on them trying to be something you're not. this ain't potters house, ur not T.D. I found this church online before I moved to Texas. Just from watching their FB and YouTube channel I knew this was a match made in heaven. I love the diversity in membership, worship and sermons. Almost feels like you've attended a conference every Sunday and Wednesday. I have to admit. I was nervous about the whole mega church experience moving here from Maryland. However I feel right at home here. I definitely encourage everyone to get connected to a life group it makes it easy to connect with a small group of people without getting lost in the masses. It makes the entire experience less intimidating because there is a group of people you know closely. The sense of community is amazing! I also love how involved we are in the community. This is the 1st time I've done outreach to this capacity ever! Pastor Conway is an awesome leader. He is not afraid to get on the ground level and lead by example. You will find him serving in the parking lot, cleaning up trash, etc (whatever it takes). He doesn't see himself as above serving or too good. He actively engages with people. His wife Jada leads womens Bible study and it's ALWAYS amazing. I just love the realness from this couple. Oh yeah and if your single you have to check out the Lounge every 2nd Friday @7pm! We ve attended on Sunday about 6 times now. Worship is not just a group of talented singers (absolutely on point!) But I do see them actually WORSHIPPING not preforming on stage. You see their hearts and even tears. It's very powerful. Then seems to follow praise dance, spoken Word art, or another type of powerful artistic worship or education. The Pastor is funny, silly, real, clear to follow, teaches the Word (which is why I'm even there) and it's very obvious there's an anointing for him to be teaching God's Word. My spirit definitely bares witness to the teachings- nothing corrupt nor sideways. We definitely feel challenged everytime we walk out! I've gone to the women's wed bible study and my husband has attended the men's wed bible study. We both were hooked at the first time- no joke. Again - anointed teachings for sure. We ve been Christians for years now. We have also been plugged into a church, served and have expectations of the Word/needs. We feel at peace no checks in our Spirit at all. We totally want/need a community to be apart of again. Especially marital support/guidance. We decided to go to the Prom event! Was so greatful to be able to attend. Such a neat concept for married couples. We are also currently taking their 5 session Marriage Institute. (Yay shout out for the fact they have childcare for these events or we wouldn't even be able to attend) We hear there is also small groups. We want more information on everything really!:) We are wanting to be there pretty much whenever the doors are open-ha! So I guess our next step is the Partnership class! Stay tuned! The locations you should be able to trust but really shouldn't. My company was brought in for Couples Comedy Night on Saturday, February 15 from 9-11 pm to serve desserts for One Community Church. We were told we were the sole source for 800 couples to serve desserts to. 40 minutes prior to our arrival, our POC calls and informs us that the count has increased to 1500 couples and the pastor was concerned we might not keep up with customers. The pastor, knowing full well we added cupcakes to our menu to diversify the options outside of waffles, the pastor buys cookies and cupcakes in mass and puts them out for free and within viewing range of our truck. In 2.5 hours we generate 6 sales totaling ~$30. We all know if you have a free dessert stand and one that requires money, who will they visit. It's disheartening to see how taking from our employees, there is no remorse. This church is unlike other churches we've worked with, there is no concern at all. No call from the pastor at all. Generally speaking, the POC at other churches and unlike One Community, are cheering the church members over to our truck to ensure we are supported/blessed. Other truck vendors, proceed with caution because what your told and what your "fruits" are will not likely come into alignment Bottom line: there is no integrity from the pastoral level of this church. Growing up in a Christian family and being a believer in God but forced to go to church, I spent my whole life counting down the minutes every time I set foot in one. We stumbled on this church by accident because my parents were coming to stay for the weekend and not going to church isn't an option on Sunday. We actually missed our exit on 121 and to save face just pulled in and it was the most amazing service. That was over a year ago and both my daughter's talk about going to Onecc more than going to the park. I look forward to Sundays now because this church NEVER SKIPS A BEAT no matter who's preaching or what time of year it is and they strive on being different and making sure the next generation isn't left out or overlooked. We've been looking back and forth and just didnt felt right with the other sabbath keeping churches in the area. This is an AWESOME church. From its motto, "Where no one walks alone," to the friendly faces that greet you in the parking lot and at the doors of the church, to the anointed music and worship, to the substantial and Bible-based teaching of the word of God. I moved to where I live because of One. It is a church that is not perfect, but is working toward a standard of "ever better." Although we don't have kids at home any more, if we did, I'd be driving them to every youth event there is. Im giving the church a 2 only because the people are quite friendly. Im very disgusted & disappointed by Conway. My wife has been a member for yrs,we asked him to officiate our wedding last yr,after counseling w/him,he agreed. 2wks before the wedding,office told us he could no longer do it w/out reason.We scrambled to find someone else. I started coming to ONE back in October 2017 with my 2 daughters. I have went to several other churches trying to seek a church home for my family and FINALLY I found it! This church help me spiritually, mentally, financially, physically and emotionally. I've only attended services at One Community for a month now. I have been looking for a church home and came across this one when I met the First Lady at a conference. Everyone at this church is so welcoming. Dr. (pastor) Conway is so legit! His sermons are rooted in the gospel but delivered in a way that is so easy to understand and his infectious humor is delivered in a way that makes you laugh but drives the truths in his message home. Worship is awesome! They sing contemporary songs to older hymns. The church is for everyone. If you are a family with several kids, married, single, single parent, etc. they have ministries in this church to reach out for all. There are so many areas where you also can get plugged in or even volunteer your gifts and time. There are women's and men's bible studies held on alternating weeks. I recently attended a community event that this church put on, and I was blown away! Wonderful group of people here. They went all out with food, music, rides, games, shows, petting zoo. Best time I've had in awhile. It was great seeing God's people all getting together and having fun. I already have a church home now, but if I didn't, I would love to attend here.
