Including ceramic tile removal in some areas. Home was unoccupied and we are 2 hours away. Let's start with the Estimate. And Brianna. She showed up on time, with modern measuring equipment. Walked the job, asked the important questions and smoothly measured all of the spaces with a laser and a laptop. We had a quote within hours. After getting two other quotes, the choice was clear. FCI. Their bid was not the cheapest, but was 40% below the high bid. (The low bidder showed up hours late with a rusty tape measure) I went to their office with the check for the deposit. Amanda was well informed, and helped me schedule the work. The schedule needed stages. The tile removal always creates a lot of dust. And we were hiring a painter to paint the complete interior. Not a problem for FCI. Their subcontractor spent an entire day removing the old tiles and mortar. Then the job had to pause. For a couple of weeks. Once the painting crew was done the floors could be laid. We had chosen LVP, and had 3 pallets of the material delivered. As Clint started on the floor, Amanda and Brianna kept sending us progress reports with pictures. We watched as our bare floors came to life. It was fantastic customer service. In the digital age they made it easy to track progress. At one point we were actually in Canada while the work went on. Quality people. Quality results

I caught the shower before it was done and reminded him that I requested a handicap shower, I was told by Themis, that "it's too much work, I will make you a ramp later". Themis went into great lengths explaining to me how he was going to raise the kitchen counters 3 inches. The cupboards were raised but the counters had not been raised. After completion, I informed him that the counters had not been raised. Themis said, "it's too late now, you should have caught it earlier and you will have to pay to have them fixed". I told him that I paid to have them raised already and Themis replied, "we raised the upper cabinets". He told me that he would come by and look at the problem.....that was 6 months ago, and I have not heard from him. I was not living in the house during the remodel, and I believed that it was Themis's responsibility to monitor the work and not mine. Recently, I messaged him that the crack in the countertop (on install) that he stated wouldn't do anything is now 10 inches long. He did not respond. The tile floor they installed also has uneven areas that cause the furniture to "rock".

We needed to do several improvements to their house, including installing a new tile floor in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms, and new carpeting throughout the rest of the house. We contacted Tile Assassins owner Ryan before heading down to get started on the work to explain our situation and set up a time to meet with him. Ryan showed up promptly at 7 AM on a Monday morning the day after we arrived to look at the job and give us an estimate. His associate tile craftsman Kyle also showd up. We agreed on a price and materials and Kyle got started on the job right away. Kyle was able to install the kitchen and bathroom floor tile in a couple days. The job turned out great. Ryan also gave us the number of a carpet installer whose name was Ray. We gave Ray a call and he got back with us a little later to give us an estimate on installing the carpet and ideas for where to purchase the carpet. Ray was also able to pick up the carpet for us and get it installed within a couple days. Tile Assassins killed it! The communication with Ryan and his craftsman was good. They really respected our time constraints and were able to accommodate our schedule. The price for both the tile and carpet jobs were fair and we were happy with the quality of both jobs. The craftsmen were personable, skilled, and very professional. We would definitely use them again.

As with all estimates, make sure you get something in writing, to confirm pricing. In my pictures, you'll see the studs "BEFORE" then his finished work as the "AFTER".
