Beware of these guys! His name is George…read more Trying to buy our first home, he performs an inspection and sites the issues. Fine. Mortgage company requests a re-inspection for a leaking sink drain (a simple $1 gasket was twisted) and some staircase cracks in the back of the house. George puts the water in the drain, pulls the plug out and the sink leaks. I fix it. The other side of the sink starts to leak, I offer to fix it and he says "well, the other side is still leaking so I'm not going to pass it." Wow. A leaking sink drain, really? So we walk outside and inspect the staircase crack, he asks whether we used an epoxy-based caulking and we say no. "Well, this isn't going to work, but I'll say that it was fixed." So you'll pass the staircase crack and not the sink? As we're walking back to the house, I ask him if he'll stay for awhile and wait for me to fix the leaking sink. The hardware store is literally a block away. He says, "no I can't stay. But if you want I can fix it for you?" Something is definitely wrong with the situation. After we decline him to fix it, we ask when he can return. He says 3 days! All in all, paid for the initial inspection, the re-inspection (for nothing) and will have to pay for another inspection. Unscrupulous business practices in action. He knows he had us where he wants us, so he'll get as much as he can. Save yourself the pain and don't go with this company. There are plenty of alternatives! No one at this company, especially George, has any empathy or is willing to work with the homeowner. If you want customer service or a reliable inspection, please look elsewhere! We are on the phone calling a different inspector as we speak.
