When my girlfriend and I met up in NYC we had a chance to take the very first "A Complete Unknown Tour". Sammy our tour guide was a student at Pace University in the city and had a part as a musician in the film! Not only did we visit the places and spaces where Bob Dylan lived, worked and played around Greenwich Village, we got to meet the man who owned the music store that Dylan purchased some of his instruments from over the years! Sammy played songs from the film and the music store owner told us stories. It was such a beautiful day. We took home some sweet swag from the film at the end and enjoyed a cappuccino and lunch at the home of the cappuccino in NYC. Post Dylan era, I used to spend the summers with a friend visiting Newport RI in the summer to attend the Newport Folk & Jazz Fest. These were such special times in my life and where Joan Baez and Dylan propelled their careers. You can feel their presence as the music lives on! We went on the TV and movie sites tour, and loved it! A nice way to see the city in a heated bus. Our tour guide, Tim, was very funny and knowledgeable and kept us laughing the whole time. We got to see a lot of movie and TV spots and they play little clips from movies to show you the sites on the screen during the tour, which I liked a lot. Definitely would do again. read more

With a bus full of Sex and The City sexperts, she knew her stuff :) I plan on taking the tour again my next New York visit! Booking 311897226, Sat. Jan 3, 10AM. A miserably uncomfortable experience. The last row (4/13) people in the van couldn't see out of the windows because the seats were mounted to high. Furthermore, 4 adult sized people couldn't fit across the back row. My wife and the man next to her (the two middle seats of the row) had to lean forward the entire time. Finally, I managed to crouch down by pulling my knees up to my chest and see partially out the left hand window. Sadly, many if not all sites were out the right side window neither me or my wife could see out of. At the 90 minute bathroom stopped I checked the cost of an Uber back to Manhattan. At that point we had only seen a parking lot where Satriales once was and a place a place a phone both once was. When I complained to the tour guide he tried to plane the transportation company saying it was the first time they used that company. This is a tour company operating a riding tour. The equipment should have been vetted. Our guide was good enough but the discomfort of the entire experience negated the entire effort. read more

I highly recommend the Sex and the City Tour. They took us to the areas I remembered from the show, which was my inspiration to go to New York City. My husband enjoyed it thoroughly too. It turned out to be quite romantic. :) The cosmopolitans in NYC and walking around the West Village, and the entire tour, created the most memorable moments for me from our trip! We stayed in a totally different area near Columbus Circle - and going to the quieter areas where people enjoy small cafe's and tree lined streets was so amazing that I want to see if we can stay in this area if we ever go to New York City again. The bus showed up 30 minutes late and our whole group had to walk to the bus. None of the AV equipment worked ... we could not hear the tour leader. There are lots of these types of tour available in NY. I would suggest you pick one of those. read more

Terrible customer service when something goes wrong. Had a Go City Pass for 2 persons. They debited our credit card for 4 persons. This was their mistake but they refused to refund USD $162 which is a lot for my family especially since we paid USD$500 for the Go City Pass. So they got paid twice - once from Go City and they debited our card and wont refund. They firmly and resolutely despite pleading would not refund even though only 2 persons went on the tour, we had a Go City Pass and the bus was full. Very upset and financially this is very distressing to our family. read more

We decided to join the TV and Movie Bus Tour as a last-minute way to fill up our schedule, and we were sure glad we did! It was included on our New York City Pass and was absolutely a blast. We truly enjoyed the tour from start to finish. We loved all the movie clips and factoids about each location we were passing. We also really loved the few opportunities to get out and take photos. The tour also took us to several places that we didn't get on any other tours of the city (like the ghostbusters firehouse or friends house). It was really nice to see some lesser-seen sights! Our guide, Chris, was super funny, charismatic, and engaging. Chris was wonderful and offered to be the photographer, even making suggestions on where to stand or offering props for the photo. He also provided feedback/recommendations on other things to do or see in the area, which was great. I highly recommend this tour! There is very little walking involved, and it was a great way to spend a morning or early afternoon when the weather is lousy (or too hot), or if you are just too tired of standing/walking but want to see more of the city! read more

Very quaint and cozy tour bus (don't think big but that's not a bad thing). Our guide Brian was very personable and engaging. We ran into a bit of traffic trying to get off times square to meet the bus and they did their best to stall so we could make the ride (we did!). The tour was entertaining. We not only got a great view of some cool movie spots but we also were able to see all the popular Christmas light displays in various areas of the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and brought humor into his history of the city. Ok, I'm fashionably late in writing this review for the Sex and the City tour I took with my BFF on April 25, 2025, but better late than never! Hannah was our tour guide, and she was fabulous! Apologies, but I forgot the name of the driver, he was amazing as well- navigating traffic, fixing the microphone, and making sure the AC was pumping. Hannah was professional, entertaining, and had all kinds of tidbits. She even took pictures of us at some of the locations we hopped off at. The mini-cupcake from Magnolia Bakery was delicious, and the Cosmopolitan was fabulous! The three-hour tour flew by! I highly recommend this tour and Hannah! Now if the tour company can just update their marketing and media to include Hannah (she wasn't on the brochure or emails we received about the company guides:( read more

Do not book with this company. We were scheduled for the Sex and the City tour on Sunday, 12 October. We showed up on time (3:15 pm) and at the correct location (corner of 5th Ave and 59th in front of Bergdorf Goodman) even though we literally had to maneuver around the Peruvian Heritage parade traveling down 5th Ave. After walking a few blocks to meet a bus (that never showed up), we waited until just before 4:30 before we came to the decision that of the (2) options offered - wait for the bus or come back the next day - neither were going to work for us. Due to the Nor'easter that was blowing through the area, NJ Transit was closing rail lines along our route and because we had to return to NJ that night, it was best for us to get on the earliest train back. We could not risk getting back to NJ that night because my friend and I had scheduled flights home the next day. This is also why the option of returning the next day for the tour did not work for us. I emailed the On Location office to ask for a refund since we did everything within our control to go on the tour yet circumstances beyond our control impeded us taking the tour. The response I received back from the office was short and impersonal and basically said that since the tour went, they could not offer a refund, only a gift certificate. This company is only out for a profit and their actions show they are not concerned with customer service. Do not book with them. read more

Parker our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the various movie and TV locations around the city. The only downside to the tour was the actual bus. We paid the VIP price for sitting at the front, but the only real view outside the Shuttle Bus was out the side windows, which meant there was no advantage to paying the extra money. This was a great tour and our tour guide, Timothy was amazing. One of the best parts of this tour is that they take you to the location, but then show you on a TV (in the bus) the actual movie scene/shot so you can remember and see the comparison - pretty cool! The tour took us to a ton of very popular locations from movies like Home Alone, Elf, Friends, Seinfeld, Ghostbusters and more ... we even got to take a photo at the iconic Firehouse 8 which doubles as the Ghostbusters' headquarters in the films. I highly recommend this tour, however I NEVER book on 3rd party sites like TripAdvisor ... always book directly on their website so these 3rd party companies don't make additional money so they keep these reviews "accurate" rather than "helping" those tour operators who share more profits with TripAdvisor and other sites. read more

The bus was junky. If you're going to point out different locations while we are on the bus we should be able to take photos of those locations. However, we were unable to do so, because the windows were so filthy. The other problem was the driver went past some locations so quickly that even if we could see to take pics, we would not be able to do so. It was supposed to go from 9AM to 12PM. We didn't leave until almost 9:30AM and we were done by 11:20AM. The tour speaks of Law and Order sites being pointed out and our tour guide said to look all around the city because they filmed everywhere. We should have been brought to the building at Centre Street as a central filming location for Law and Order. Something! Just not worth it. read more

Once wasn't enough. This is the second Sopranos tour I've taken with this company. The first in 2019 then again in 2024 when we visited NYC again. Our tour guide John was the best! His enthusiasm, knowledge and love for the show shone through the whole time. I love the reason the meeting location was were it was (I won't spoilt it for people who haven't been on the tour yet). I'm disappointed that Tony's house and now Satriale's pork store is not in the tour as both locations are a big part of the show. I think playing the Sopranos soundtrack during the coach journey would be a nice touch. Other than that, it was a great day and I'd recommend the tour to all Sopranos fans. read more
