They girls behind the counter are a good laugh as well and always lively and full of beans! If you have room they have a great selection of bakery treats and cakes. The menu is well designed with an intuitive layout showing their extensive range of food offering virtually all of the standard dishes as well as some specialties and with English Chippy options too. The actual place itself is clean, tidy with friendly staff. the staff are always attentive and friendly and we've never had a mistake made by them. The food is delicious and the prices are very competitive, this really is a great take-away and I highly recommend it.

The pastie shop was established, according to the plaque, in 1667, and sits right opposite the famous Olde Man and Scythe where the 7th Earl of Derby spent the night before execution. Even if the shop is no longer in business, the building itself is a fine example of 17th c. urban architecture.
