Then I found this place and all the reviews were great, which made me a little suspicious. However, I discovered that these reviews for here were true. This is a no games, no funny-business place. Anna was my masseuse and did a fantastic job. She was not only respectful and professional but her technique was incredible. This was the best massage I've had in a long time. Additionally, the receptionist was sweet and friendly, and the place was very clean. I will definitely return if I'm ever in Ottawa. Enjoy!

On line, there are several extremely professional and competent, both male and female RMT's from which to select, for your personal treatment. Depending on the month of the year, booking a last minute treatment may be tricky, however, there is the option of submitting your name onto a waiting list. I've found though, that it's best to schedule a date in advance (and keep it) to ensure your treatment moves forward as planned. There is a cancellation policy fully laid out and explained, however, should you need to cancel your appointment. As expected, respect (with regard to cancellations) ON BOTH SIDES, is commonplace and is appreciated! I require "deep tissue" treatments, for which I am grateful to have found amongst this talented, Registered Staff. Not all RMTs perform this treatment. ALIGN BANK STREET Clinic also offers a multitude of different therapeutic treatments. . Her technique is excellent - it can be painful as she works through restrictions and knots, but I feel better for weeks afterwards. I booked myself a 1hr Deep Tissue Massage with Melissa ($120) and had a great experience. Melissa was very thorough in explaining her techniques and ensuring that I was always comfortable with the amount of pressure. I like a lot of pressure, so that it really feels like my muscles have gotten their knots worked out. Melissa wasn't afraid to use a lot of pressure (I find some RMTs almost seem scared to do too much) and I appreciated that. Once the massage was done, she reminded me to drink lots of water and to apply heat if possible. She said that I would feel like I had a workout the next day and possibly have some bruising. She was right - I did have some bruising, but my muscles also felt the best that they have in a long time. Definitely worth it and I recommend Melissa if you want a lot of pressure in your massage. She was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. As for the massage room itself, it was dimly lit with soft relaxing music and it was clean - pretty standard. What was a nice touch though was that there was a heating pad on the table that I could lie on to stay warm in addition to a sheet to put over me. This clinic doesn't do direct billing for members of the Public Service. I think they do for other plans. There is plenty of free parking and Mavericks Donuts is walking distance if you really want to splurge and get yourself a donut to pamper yourself! ;)

Not knowing any of the massage therapists, I simply chose one at random and lucked out with Marcus Kelly, a recent graduate. He was kind, professional, and had that easy Maritime way with conversation. We consulted on some stiffness in my neck and shoulders and he set to work. I had a wonderful experience and emerged feeling lighter and more flexible. He also gave me good tips about my posture. One thing he mentioned - a pro tip, if you will - is that if you book a massage with him at the Westin (the same company operates both sites), you get access to the pool and the gym also! Will definitely look into that for next time!
