Four stars for the best customer service experience and chill atmosphere. I asked if they had any vegan pastries and one of the gals hunted some down for me. They were a little too healthy looking for me but good to know if I get hungry! I had a chai latte and it was very good but found out later it had dairy which is on me as I didn't mention I can't have dairy. I like this place honestly. My kiddo and I have weekly coffee dates so we're looking for a new coffee "home" and I'd love it if there was some kind of a vegan cookie or other pastry available, like Lava Lava Donuts (local vegan donut company that slays!) and if they had a dairy free chai option. This place has a very friendly staff, and the atmosphere is pretty nice with a lot of seating. The aroma of when you walk in is coffee, which to me is one of the best smells in the world. Their coffee on the other hand was either made with shots that sat too long or a bad batch. I'll definitely give it another shot just because of the food and the people. They accidentally forgot one of our sandwiches, made it and then gave us a free drink for the next time. Super nice! read more

The Ice Cream Freezer's were amazing here. They had a great coffee flavor and were blended perfectly so you can enjoy the whole drink rather than waiting for the last bit to melt so you can drink it. They were not too sweet either. The barista's are knowledgeable here and have a great love of coffee. I would go again for sure next time I am in the area. They are a tad bit on the pricier side but well worth it. Beats anything you get at Starbucks. read more

How I tried coffee here is an interesting story. Early Monday morning a couple weeks ago, I was pumping gas and lost my wallet at the gas station. I had arrived at my son's daycare, realized I was missing it, and returned to the gas station. My wallet was already gone, and with my Monday feeling already too manic, I headed back to my son's daycare to drop him off. As I walk in, their phone rings, and it's for me..? It was Olympic Crest Coffee Roasters, calling with the best news I could have heard at that moment: someone had found my wallet in the street and had returned it, and that they had it in safe keeping. I rushed up the street and they said they tried searching for me online and found nothing, but found a receipt in my wallet with my son's daycare information on it. They gave me a free cup of coffee [and I tipped them as best as I could] too! The coffee was full-bodied and so smooth. There was no bitter aftertaste and it had an incredible aroma that awakened my soul. Just what I needed after this hellish morning was 24 ounces of pure black energy serum called drip coffee. The best part about their drip coffee? It's only $1, no matter what size you get. So get your sip on! read more

I'm not from the area but I have a coffee shop I go to from home that I love and it's usually hard to find a place that can compete. I got what I always get, a white chocolate americano with cream. I also got a bagel with cream cheese. If I remember correctly, the prices were more affordable than most coffee shops. But the coffee tasted watery. If you go here, definitely ask for an extra shot or two. As for the bagel, it was toasted more than I prefer, I should have asked for lightly toasted but I hadn't thought to ask, I rarely order food from coffee shops. If they wanted to step their service up a notch it's something they could ask their customers. "How do you like your bagel toasted?" Not a bad place to go, but not THE place to go, in my opinion. read more

I typically order the Americano everywhere I go, and here, no exception. Nothing special. Extra ordinary, by definition. Espresso. Hot water. Not hard to mess up. No, they didn't mess it up. You thought I was going to say that they did, didn't you? In fact, if I recall, the barista threw in an extra shot, on the house. They have free wi-fi and they seem to be involved with supporting community events and non-profit fundraisers. There is a television in there too, which is odd for a cafe, now that I think about it. Comfy couches. Roaster on-site. I'm remembering some type of food offering, soup? Sandwiches? I think so. Ice cream during the Summer months, house made if I remember correctly. The cafe closes at 5pm... cool for Winter I guess, but I think they should stay open later during the Summer. The drive through is open later though, but it's kind of hard to drink coffee while riding a bike. It's a hop and skip from the Chehalis-Western Trail. Hot soup in the winter, instead of coffee? Okay, so I haven't been in to the shop to enjoy their coffee, BUT I ordered bulk coffee from Chuck for a fundraiser. Great idea on both of our parts. Not your typical chain coffee shop which is always nice. Comfy to sit alone or with a small group - there are two different couch areas for that (no separate conference- style room though). Friendly baristas Free wi-fi What I like best? ...one of the few local places with hemp milk ( try it in your latte - OMG yum!) One suggestion .... Gluten-free food options (they don't offer any.) The coffee here is good --- but the staff is S-L-O-W!! I have stopped by the drive-up window 4 times on my way to work, and 3 of those times I left because the line was moving so slowly. Yesterday, I physically went inside, hoping it would be quicker --- NOPE. Two other customers were inside --- so 3 of us --- 3 people were working behind the counter, and I still had to wait about 7-8 minutes for a coconut milk mocha! WTF? This is mostly a drive-through coffee place but it does have some tables and couches indoors. It wasn't busy when I was there on a Friday afternoon, and there's wifi and power outlets so it's a nice quiet place to get some work done. Also, they sell e-cigarettes for some reason. 3 stars because the food selection is pretty bad (those plastic-wrapped pastries that they sell in gas stations, and very little else) and for some inexplicable reason, there's a garage-door-style window that opens onto the patio that's open all the time, even on a cold day. I have just moved to this area and my friend told me I HAD to try the white coffee at Olympic Crest. When I finally made it there I was told it was an espresso that replaced their normal espresso. So I ordered my "usual"... an Americano with a splash of soy milk (with the white coffee). To my surprise, IT WAS ACTUALLY WHITE. I know I know, it's called white coffee but blonde roasts aren't blonde. Anyways. It's not bad but it DOES NOT TASTE LIKE COFFEE. I like the taste of coffee so I was thrown off. Stopped in while I had my windshield replaced next door and got a Vanilla Latte. I didn't expect anything special, but the drink was noticeably better than most. The establishment is clean and welcoming. The barista was friendly. They offer free wi-fi. I'm reserving one star until I pick up a bag of fresh roasted coffee, but this place may be the best coffee in Lacey. I can't say for sure until I test a straight brew in my French press, as a Vanilla Latte can't really be the basis of a "great coffee" claim. If you are a fan of Lattes though, this was better than the lattes at Starbucks, Cutter's Point, and Dutch Bros. in my opinion. read more

The girls were very nice but the coffee wasn't to my liking. I wanted to like this place but it just doesn't have that flavor I was looking for. I had a blended mocha with an added shot and it didn't really taste much like coffee. It was more like a milkshake with coffee flavored ice cream. The price was higher than most of the stands I've gone to so I doubt I would return due to the cost and lack of taste. Fantastic coffee at fantastic prices. I had the iced chai and it was soooo good. They also have muffins, cookies, etc. There's a convient drive thru & patio or you can enjoy their cozy indoor tables with WiFi. I've also had the coffee drinks here and the flavor is fab. Places like Starbucks often have an over done chocolate flavor in the beans which makes the coffee too rich. The coffee at Olympic is perfectly balanced with a deep complex flavor that leaves a light crisp feel on the tongue. Did I mention the prices are fantastic!? Oh I did. Seriously save some cash and drink good coffee . Skip Starbucks and for the love of Christ stop buying gas station coffee! read more
