In the Netherlands, pharmacies are called "Apotheeks". They are not open on weekends or after 17:00 or mayne 18:00. Good luck if you work a day-job. Some do deliver, of course.
This is in the OLVG Hospital in Oost. It is not the most efficient pharmacy, but it does work. They take their time to get it right, it will be a 30-plus minute wait no matter what time you arrive, because they fill your script when you walk up to the counter. They do have good signage and you can see how long your wait will be.
I waited 54 minutes, while still recovering from surgery, but I needed the medication. This was prime afternoon time. The same goes for OLVG West, you will be waiting there for a long time as well.
Have your ID ready after they call your number.
It seems like a long time to wait, but by the time the doctor transfers it to your apotheek, and you travel there, wait in line at that location to find out they don't have it in stock, it's not with the trouble.
Have a seat and watch the people walk by until your number is called. read more
