I listed of floral, sour and gin, and was presented with a super tasty gin based jade princess. The music was great, areas to sit and dance too. Cocktails are not cheap, but they're very much worth it. A lot of people do seem to come here on the pull, which isn't my scene, and those who approached never pestered, which is wonderful. We had crisp halloumi, spiced aubergine with minced lamb, chilli peppered squid, pork belly and chips, a lovely crisp Pinot Grigio (my friend's a white drinker) and a couple of liqueur coffees. All this for £30 a head including a tip. The staff were efficient, attentive and charming. Young and energised, I loved the way all the front of house staff presented one table with a birthday dessert and sang with evident delight to the guest. Each time we've been there they ask about the last wine we bought and how we enjoyed it with food, etc. They take the time to get to know their customers and build a sense of community with everyone that walks into the shop.

This is a fantastic space. It's a hall type building that has been very carefully transformed into a large restaurant which successfully maintains an intimate feel using delicate lighting, cleverly created seating areas and has a large bar and pizza oven framing each end of the building. The menu's refreshing, as it's effectively a double-sided sheet with Italian delights on one side and mediterranean on the other, so if you have friends who want to eat Italian but you fancy something different or vice versa, the choice will please you in a big way. We're both vegetarian, and the selection of vegetarian food was excellent, though it's worth pointing out that like all awkward customers I set my heart on one of the meaty offerings and asked if they would be able to do me it without the meat, which the restaurant happily obliged. Top notch. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we didn't feel rushed at all and once we asked for the bill it arrived promptly with the card machine following suit very soon after. Again top notch. The only thing we could fault was the starter, which arrived a little cooler than you would normally expect for deep fried brie, but was still delicious. I really like the vibe of this place, and it's mixed identity. So it's a wine bar called Alberrys and then the back/ kitchen is the Burger Bros restaurant space. They were playing cool laid back 70s tunes and I liked the juxtaposition of music with the Americana style menu. Plus they have free wifi and that is an excellent bonus - just ask the server for the password. I ordered a vegetarian slider and a cider and my other diner got a Cajun burger and a mango/orange fruit juice and we split the fries, which were totally fantastic and not at all greasy and nor did they gave that stale oil taste. My veggie slider arrived on a wooden chopping board (cool way to serve the food) and was overflowing with mushroom and roasted red peppers and Haloumi cheese (you could choose between Haloumi or blue cheese and I went with the servers suggestion). I also liked the crunchiness of the fried onion ring and eggplant so the burger's fillings came together in a beautiful medley of fresh and juicy flavours. If there is one thing I would have preferred for next time is that the burger be cut into two, as this would have made it easier to pick up and eat. Cost for two drinks, two burgers and a shared bucket of fries was £25 (rounded down), so not too bad. Oh the ladies loo was a funny experience as I couldn't find toilet paper until I looked up! The roll is placed super awkwardly and I was stretching my hand to get some paper.
