I have been coming to Rome the past six Christmas seasons now. After staying at a very nice hotel…read morenear the Spanish steps the previous times, we decided to venture out and stay in an apartment.
We chose Gabrielle's apartment because of his friendly communication qualities (no matter what we asked from the U.S. he responded within 24 hours) and we also appreciated his flexibility.
The apartment had two bedrooms, a pullout couch, a kitchen, and a good amount of living space with a nice dining area. The windows that open up to the street side was a nice character that we enjoyed. Wifi and a washer also came in handy.
The location of this apartment can't be beat. Right down the street is a grocery store, a pharmacy (if needed), a choice of a couple fantastic bars for money coffee, and lastly a huge selection of traditional Roman style restaurants. The location is near the Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo, the fashion district, and a short walk from the usual tourists attractions (Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona). The metro is a three minute walk if needed.
As far Gabrielle and his associate, you couldn't ask for better hosts. We needed their assistance with something small and it was solved within the hour. Truly great!
I am planning another trip in June and will definitely stay here again.
