An equally spectacular meal and experience.
We enjoyed an exceptional mixed salad with loads of herbs, a simple pasta in a white sauce with mushrooms, and an excellent steak stuffed with spinach and more herbs. The food was satisfying (competing gamely with Portland, OR fare if falling short of such a high bar) and ample.
The outdoor seating is beautifully appointed with charming lamps, lanterns, etc. and a welcome fire was burning cheerfully amidst flowering trees, vines, and shrubs. Simply extraordinary.
We finished our meal and were surprised by tea and coffee on the house by the fire where we enjoyed another hour or so chatting with the host, staff, and other patrons. We were surprised a second time by a delicious oven-roasted havalah dessert also on the house (perhaps in recognition of our brief and pleasant wait on our entrees).
