I have my brother Peter Goltz living there and friends I know all my life Petzi Brysinsky he lives in Hirschau now Ina Walter Stein lives near by Go visit the Maria Hilfs Berg church and stairs made by us German human hands they prayed to get rid of the Plag sickness we will build this church. We loved this Weihnachtsmarkt because of the craft vendors all had very good pricing of quality…read morecraftsmanship! We spent a lot of money and it was not crowded. It has a great setting and one of the best Weißer Nicholaus Glühwein! The vendors were all very friendly and the bellmaker was the most interesting to watch. I also loved the crafthouse maker that was located inside the old water mill. We will come here again next year.

This is a very fun local beer fest - we had no idea it was going on but our hotel staff clued us…read morein. I'm pretty sure we were the only tourists for miles as the tents were packed with groups and families having a great time. We managed to get in one for dinner but make a reservation if you can! I loved that I could get great wine along with my dinner and I especially loved that they had a rotating bar in the center of it all for some reason. We had just come from "big Oktoberfest" in Munich but I found this charming local fest to be a bit more my speed!
