She informed me that the first floor apartments have hardwood leading in the front door and in the living room, but the second and third floors have carpet in that area instead.

3 generations of my family has lived here…read more I have called this place home for many years. My mother lived there when she was a child and my grandfather lived there for 3 decades during the strikes of Kimberly Clark. I remember those days living there but when I finally turned the key to my new apartment, I could not EVER call this place what it once was: my home. For my tenure there (less than 6 months, and YES, I broke my lease) it was horrid. When it comes time to pay rent, they hold out their hands and demand payment but when I need something fixed, I get all of the excuses in the world, "We didn't have access to your apt." BULLSHIT! Maintenance: When they change locks on the doors, there are two keys for each lock changed, they put the keys in a specific location and you get rid of the others. I literally stood at my apartment (move-in day) and watched them change my lock on my door. They get one key, I get the other, and their key goes in a locked box. They LOSE their key! POOR administration and maintenance. Increased police activity leaves questions to WHO they are allowing to live there: drug users, convicts who cannot keep their hands to themselves, OH, and one maintenance guy (white old guy) needs a golf cart to handle any work orders he MAY or MAY NOT get to. They fire the guy who actually worked (Mr. Anthony, a man who has worked there most of my life) for some ass hat with a tool belt. The space is less than 7 acres of land and most of that is apartments, the rest is no more than a small lawn, at best. Why would someone need a golf card for things like that?! I can understand the "Pack mule" mentality but, come on, if the guy that knows the ins and outs gets fired but you somehow to manage NOT to learn, you need to rethink your strategy. As for the rent: I was instructed at the day of signing that, if I were ever late (once because my payday fell three days AFTER rent was due. I ALWAYS PAID EARLY BEFORE THAT DAY. Not to stray away from the subject, but, I assumed they would just give me a late fee ($50 every week NOT PAID). I pay them the day I get paid and even though I still owed the $50, I had other shit to get, like food and insurance for my vehicle, OH, and gas which didn't leave me for much else, so I could not pay the fee. I went so far as to suffer through the heat just to cut back on power just to save a little money. Well, getting back on subject, remember when I said they lost my key? Well, my garbage disposal went out and their plumbing focuses on a funnel system... The dishwasher AND the sink run TO the garbage disposal TO the p-trap. Now, I am not a plumber by trade, however, I know this system baffles me to every degree. It LITERALLY, takes them a week to get into my apartment to change the damn thing, THEN, have the audacity to tell me that I owe them money for the damages! That is why you have security deposits! Late fees: I mentioned late fee earlier... Okay, If you pay the rent after the final day, you get charged $50 for each week NOT PAID (I must stress this since it was in writing). Now, I didn't pay the day of because of the pay day falling three days after... so, when I paid them, they charged me for each week totaling up to $200 and they demanded that I pay them before they send it to the credit bureau. I told them to do whatever the fuck they please because I have been very unhappy with the results I got. The day they let Loretta go was the day that place went to hell. To the new manager who bought the place milking the profits from people like me: If there is a Hell, next to the door of HELL, there is a parking spot with your name all over it. The former owners were amazing. YOU, are shit.

This place offers spacious apartments, nicely designed with high ceilings, arches, large kitchens, whirlpool tubs, and plenty of big windows giving you lots of natural light regardless of which direction your apartment faces or whether you're on the first or second floor. The complex is off quiet streets behind a nice upper scale shopping center on du rhu, right off Dauphin and very convenient to I-65. The apartments are gated and you feel very safe and secure in the area. The reason I only gave the apartment 4 stars when in actuality it's 5 star quality is the maintenance and service I've received as a corporate housing renter. Maintenance and cleaning between renters leaves a lot to be desired and it did not appear to be a very high priority for the maintenance staff prior to my moving in. All of the issues I reported when I moved in have gone unaddressed. And while none of them are more than eye-sore type issues, that shows a lack of commitment to your tenant, even if they're renting through a housing company. When I moved in there was a large stain in the master bedroom carpet in front of the master bath door. Multiple sinks had water damage in the vanities and cabinets below them. There was minor water damage to the master bath ceiling from a past leak in the 2nd floor unit above. The weather stripping around the doors is torn and deteriorated (this would be much more of an issue for me if I was paying the a/c or heating bills!). The maintenance crew used gloss paint for the touch up and spot painting they did between tenants, when the rest of the walls are painted flat. So now when you walk in you see reflective spots all over the hallway, bathroom, and bedroom walls. Finally, there are coffee mug rings all over the coffee table and trim on top of the halfwall near the toilet in the master bath. None of these issue reflect poorly on the apartments themselves, but it does reflect on the maintenace staff's workmanship and management's priorities. There have been a couple other issues I did not let linger... the A/C and thermostat have had a few hiccups. I've stayed on top of those issues and they were resolved satisfactorily, usually within hours of reporting the issue, though one instance required several phone calls and leaving work to meet the maintenance working at my apartment to point out that the A/C was indeed not working (when the thermostat is set at 72 and the unit reads 76... just because you might think 76 isn't 'too hot' that doesn't mean the A/C is working!). All in all, very nice place to live... even if you have to be aggressively proactive to get maintenance done on your place!
